Had my first final round interview for a new graduate software engineering job today, have been watching Jacob since day one and has relly inspired me to pursue my passion and hoping for good news! :)
Congrats! You’ve hit the 10k man! Very nice work, I like them videos a lot. Been around since 2-3k subs and you have always given me those positive vibes about life. I would find a video about procrastination really interesting, because you seem so positive and always optimistic about life and work and I have been struggling with it recently a lot. Maybe a topic you find time to mention in the future.
"Oh, that sounds..."
"..amazing"
Haha
Do you have the Brown or Red Switches? And how has it been after 3 months?
I bit the bullet and ordered myself a K3 Pro. It has just arrived. It's glorious. Cannot wait to set it up!!!
Congrats for 10k 🥳.
Like the vibe and development style is great. 👍
Please post frequent videos & you sell another 10k subs coming in less time
Nice overview, thank you. As I wish to purchase the K3 Pro and use it exclusively with the cable connected, could you tell me if Bluetooth can be turned off at the computer as well as at the keyboard? Thanking you, David 🇦🇺
I love how you drive around and walk to places so we can see how you actually live in your city as a dev, great content!!
Great video, mate! I’ve had that K3 Pro for about a year. Excellent for my long writing (typing) sessions for my job. My K3 has optical red switches and white LEDs. Keychron rocks!!
Hello, been watching your content a lot lately, and I enjoy every second of it. KEEP IT GOING 🎉🎉
I wanted to ask, how can I be more atractive to employees, what kind of projects should I focus on to get a job as a front end dev ?
Thank you for your help and for the top notch content 🎉
Loving the longer videos keep up the great work.
Hey Jacob, I really appreciate your videos and the way they are edited. Very unique and entertaining. Keep doing your things, greater successes are coming!! Greetings from Spain
Love you videos! And Congrats with the 10K!
Your videos are really amazing to watch it super fun, I love the type of content you make keep up bro.
Good to see this channel growing! Keep it up
Random question. I see everyone on RUclips use and praise the mx master 3 mouse. I picked one up and the scrolling is terrible. It’s also my 1st time using a 3rd party mouse.
Not a developer but a UX designer, stumbled upon your channel! Loving the content.. liked the daily life aspect and the quality of the vids! Keep up!
Man your videos are inspiring me bro and congratulation you’ve hit 10k subscribers 💪
thanks for the gear updates ..! 🙌🏻
bruh always your chill videos which get me the vibe man!!
I have the same keyboard except the non-pro version and with the optical brown switches. It's amazing, now the only issue is that it's so perfect for my preferences that I don't have an excuse to spend mo money on other keyboards lol
Man, suck a glad to see to reach 10k follower. Congrats 🎉
Hey have you used some gpt stuff in your code?
I had have java, oracle sql and c# midterms today and after I took them, my fav youtuber uploaded a new video. what a beautiful day!!

Amazing video brother , I don't know if i had seen this good video vlog by a developer !! Kudos brother
Link for the speaker please
Another excellent video and the place where you live and work looks enjoyable
Congratulations on 10,000 subscribers! I love your content and subbed when you were at 1.2k.
Legend!
Long time no see big brother, congratulate for 10k subs. I was really tired during this time, so I came back to watch your video again. Great as always, or better 😊😊
Congrats on 10K Jacob! More importantly, what can be done so that you post twice a week?
My current setup is with a GMMK Pro black edition. Love high end mech boards.
Hey Jacob , since how long have you been in software engineering field??
awesome content as always bro, as an ios swe from brazil it is really cool to watch how's the daily life of swes across the world.
Im a new follower and i really like the style and the content you deliver keep going❤
Welcome aboard!
I have one question regarding the monitors you use. How does Screensharing in Zoom/Teams etc. work? Does the 21:9 ratio get squished to 16:9 on the "regular" devices? If so, have you had any complaints about visibility?
Greetings from Germany, please keep going :)
Good question. Sometimes I bump up the font size / zoom so my colleagues can see better 😁
I have Keychrone K3 v2 keyboard and I experienced a lot of connection lagging when use it with bluetooth connection with my mac m1. Do anyone have the same?
But keyboard is really amazing. For now using it connected by wire.
Mine seems fine!
man love your content! recntly i bought dji action 2 because u....Are all the things you film with this camera?
Yep!
Hey Jacob. I'm a year 13 student based in NZ and planning to go into software engineering // computer science next year and I had a few questions. I was wondering what the difference is between going into the field through the computer science major or going through the engineering major for a software engineering degree since the course requirements to get in is very different.
Thanks for the content btw absoluting living the dream!
Hey bro! Tbh… I don’t have a degree so 🤷♂️🤷♂️
But if I had to make a decision, go for the one that’s gonna teach you real world engineering skills that you can bring to a job. Otherwise you’re gonna finish a degree but start from scratch on learning relevant languages
Love the videos man, truly inspiring! Keep up the great work! I wish you posted more often haha :P
Finally a new upload I've been waiting for, i love your content man
Glad you enjoy it!
Just came across your channel and I love it. Very inspiring, thank you! Can I ask how you find the red switches on your Keychron? I always see the debate between red and brown. I'm looking at getting this keyboard but there is only red in stock.
They’re great!
I bought the keychron k3 pro about two months ago: never made a better choice!
hey man i am looking at getting this keyboard how does it feel to you? does it feel like your mac keys? I like the feel of mac keyboard and looking for something similar
Yeah I really like the low profile. Takes a day to get used to but you’ll love it overall 👌🏽
Your video creations are super nice and really interesting to watch. Which also got inspired me to make a RUclips channel about my daily life.
I can recommend the Elgato mic stand to you, since right now you're just using that big arm. They have low-profile mic arms, so those might be a good buy for you!
9:32 - felt very 'flight of the concords' lol
😂😂😂
The Audio got mixed up at around 8:28
Can you do a full desk setup tour?
Love those monitors! We have the same monitors on our desks where I work, and they definitely pair nicely with the M1 Pro MacBook Pros.
I like that you put multiple days in one video.
coughnotenoughhermycough :p
Congrats on 10k! (or perhaps future congrats for 20k since you’re ramping up so fast!)
You do us kiwis in tech proud! :D
Hey mate, love your videos!! What are you filming with?
Link in bio 😁
I'm using DJI Action 3, pretty good for POV as well!
The Keychron K3 is my favorite keyboard so far! I have the standard version with red switches 🚀
Good choice!
That stackoverflow article at 10:20, I've been on the same one a few times too 🤣🤣🤣
great video! how do you record your pov shots?
DJI Action 2
My favorite youtuber haha great vídeo bro 🚀
What is your monitor size, is it 27 inch?
34
That moment when you are a fellow Sri Lankan watching the vid and see another fellow countryman in the vid........
Jacob congratulations on 10k subs : ) Any reviews on your DJI action 2 camera? Does it give heating issues as per reviews in 4K?
Can get hot sometimes but never affected filming 😁
@@JacobSucksAtCode how much battery backup do you get? It its even more than an hour I'm buying it and you will get some affiliate contributions 😉
Just found the video. Love the style. Subscribed!
Congrats for 10K
can you make a video detailing your journey towards becoming a software engineer?
Bro, I like your videos keep it up brother
nice choice on the keyboard Jacob! That knife on the table thought....
😂
Which monitor is this
Link in description ❤️
I love my Keychron K3 keyboard (i'm a weirdo and have brown switches), it sits on my desk at work because as a boring admin person I need something that will at least make a part of my day pleasureable but also because the stock keyboards my company provide suck and are usually third hand!
Hey awesome!!
i know it's not a topic i like to bring up, but still! i lost my home to the aggression of a neighbouring country... and now i live far away from home. your videos are a great distraction from everything that is going on in the world. create, create, do more! it's the best channel i found in 2023, good luck and all the best!
Happy to have you here ❤️
your teammates do not find the keyboard to be too loud?
love the content! bit of a random question however where is the gilet from? 😂
Gilet?
@@JacobSucksAtCode Sorrythe khaki puffer jacket, some places call them diffrent names! @ 0:01 & @ 8:12
Congrats on 10k, been here only a few weeks ago at around 6k. Glad to see the channel growing fast. Excited to see more videos coming from you!!
Awesome! Thank you!

Whats ur old keyboard ?
iQunix F96
new subscriber from ph here not a dev but hoping and practicing, inspired by your videos...thanks mate...
The only problem that key caps is not shine-through so in the night they look awful
more like " days "of life of a software engineer
What is the name of the monitor?
Link in comments 😁
@@JacobSucksAtCode i mean the samsung monitor
keep them coming bro🙌
Will do!!
Hey, i am also a software engineer, i work on React and Nextjs along with Nodejs and Expressjs
Nice work!
Upload regulary bro plz!
Another amazing vlog, Jacob! Thanks for sharing with us!
The keyboard is beautiful!
Cheers from Brazil!
That keyboard looks interesting..
10k Subs.. lets goooo
I think you should put a 'No Kitchen knife' sign on your office door
😂
Honestly I’ve been using this keyboard for software development for over a year and it sucks. Mainly this is because of the positioning of the arrow keys, making them hard to find and miss keys common
Interesting - I love it!
Hello,
Thanks for your video, it's helped me a lot.
In April, I will be 30 years old. Is it too late for me to study and start a career in web development?
Never too old!
@@JacobSucksAtCode Thanks for your advice.
I wish you more and more success.
Hey Jacob, I’m a web dev based in NZ. Loving the content you’re putting up bro 🤙 How do you manage upskilling/learning around full time work and personal life? Congrats on the 10k subs, solid mahi 🙌🙌
Nice to see from srilanka ❤😊
What a beauty of a keyboard mostly because it’s Mac keys 😂
What do you think about „AI is taking our Software Engineering jobs“?
Bro you work at centrality not a bad company tho :)
