Can you explain the process of passing the interview process for those who struggle with algorithms but can write a decent code? Like most of the time that is the fear, the algorithm coding interview but I know that that is not always the case and not all juniors get an algorithm coding interview some get technical questions and a home assignment and a post CR interview or some sort, I would appreciate if you could share the experience that you gone through as a self taught dev, Thanks a lot, keep up the videos.
OCD sufferer over here 🙋♂ I'm exactly the same way with my code, and my git repositories too. I've got pre-commit hooks in every project to make sure that my code in every single commit is clean and consistent, but even that isn't always enough. It's not unlike me to spend far too long fixing my commits to be the best they can be, too. Honestly, overall it kinda sucks but at least my team always have clean code to work with from my end 🙃

Hey Jacob thanks for the amazing content as usual! Do you have any sources that really breakdown JavaScript concepts simply? Or explaining in elementary terms how to go about solving coding problems? Example: when you would use a for loop vs while loop, and assigning variables into functions rather than not needing to?

I've been using ChatGPT lately to help break it down for me. You can ask it certain prompts like "Explain what the difference is in for loops vs while loops like I'm 10 and give examples" I've found it pretty useful when I've gotten stuck learning a concept in JavaScript. Hope it works for you because this tool is honestly amazing.

Im wanting to become a software engineer however all the free online courses on google are for software dev's. Is there a difference between the two or am I able to do the dev course and then look at getting jobs as an engineer?
