When I watched this film as a child, I thought like a child... I didn't know Bob had real, serious, problems... then I recently watched this film as an adult with my girlfriend, after all the hard work I'd done to accomplish some goals, and I realized that this actually a fantastic, gripping, hilarious horror film. And I still love it to death!
SPOILER ALERT: Bob supposedly thinks the dynamite is fake (as a test/exercise), but after it actually explodes later, he surely knows that Leo was trying to kill him... and yet he psychotically continues to be in the family, marrying Leo's sister as a kind of sick victory. Am I wrong here?

He draws a house, a car, a boat and the patient says "sex, sex, sex", so the doctor says "well you're obsessed with sex" and the patient says "you're the one drawing all the dirty pictures!"

I was trying to explain this movie to a friend that had never seen it and noticed and kept saying, “I know it sounds like horror movie but I swear it’s funny”
Imagine how confused someone would be if they watched this with no prior knowledge of the actual movie and went into watching it thinking it was a thriller
This is my all time favourite movie and I've seen it around 50 times since it came out. Both Bob and Leo are extremely narcissistic but Bob is more likable because he lacks Lro's arrogance and snobby tendencies. I thought it was hysterically funny the first time I saw it and it still makes me laugh 30 years later. Yes Bob is a stalker but he doesn't harm Leo. Leo's demise comes from his own character flaws

Knowing this movie, this edit honestly wouldn't be that hard. It was still done really well, but you could certainly turn this incredible dark comedy into something much creepier.

I was always concerned about one scene where Bob stays in Sigmund's bedroom with him. Even though we, as an audience, know Bob is harmless, no parent I know would let a strange man be alone with their child in said child's bedroom
