I enjoyef this as a light comedy when I was a kid, but as an adult its even better because of the themes of anxiety, OCD, family and belonging, are thoughtfully considered and addressed in the background. They aren't just wallpaper for the zaniness, this movie has something to say. To this point, my favorite scene is when Bob is staying the night in Siggy's room. He shuts off his table lamp, considers his OCD handkerchef for a moment and then decides to throw it away. He's reached the point in his baby stepping where he feels secure without it. Wonderful, wonderful film that has a special place in my heart.
I love how it only took Bob like three or four days to drive Dr. Marvin into a psychotic break. Leo was actually xcloser to being crazy than Bob was!!!

I agree. The sound is such that it feels like we are looking in on something happening in real time, not actors! Bill and Richard are geniuses and they should have gotten Oscars. What is wrong with the Academy??
