All things taken into account, the datejust is the perfect watch in this variation. Understated but still eye-catching. Not too much, not too little. Can be worn in all situations. The smooth bezel puts the focus on the dial and bracelet not the case. And so true that it needs to be seen and felt on wrist to fully appreciate. I have this same watch with the new mint green dial. Haven’t worn my yachtmaster since getting this. Glad I have both bracelets but I much prefer the jubilee to the oyster. Didn’t think I would but the jubilee is striking and comfortable and removes the need for a leather strap watch which I’m not keen on
How much did it cost you to get a second bracelet
I have the same on the oyster bracelet (no fluted bezel). What a classy timepiece! The blue dial is sublime.

Do you find it inappropriate for suits or tuxedos? And how does it hold up to scratches and wear?
@@DrexelGregory I find it completely appropriate for suits, and I think it works for tuxedos too - one of the rare watches on metal bracelet that works in this attire. It doesn't scratch too easily in my experience. The jubilee bracelet is much better than the oyster bracelet with its polished center link in that respect. Of course you're going to get some minor scratches on the clasp, but that's the price to pay for actually wearing a watch.

Gorgeous. Waiting for this watch with a white roman dial. Stunning and timeless. And no hype! Really don't like Rolex games and price hikes. I hope the DJ36 will be easy to find with the AD in the next 12-24 months

The AD price is currently £5,800 on the jubilee but it can be hard to find. Probably add appx £500 to get one from a dealer. Did you get one in the end?
