@@runielparkerstudios4285 if you could only explain why my camera shuts off during my monolog, even though I have the shut off timer on the camera disabled. Would save my sanity.
I'm honestly surprised this video has less views, it was the first thing to come up from my search, and its pretty common for people to use proper cameras as a webcam. no one just KNOWS how to do this stuff without learning it first.
Thanks for the video! I still like the T3i. I notice the 2.0 Pro version update doesn't show T3i(or 600D) in their supported models? Guess I'll use the old version if it's still downloadable. EDIT: UPDATE. I think the 3.0 is the old version and the 1.2 somehow is the newer???? The 3.0 says it was last updated 2019 while the 1.2, 2022
Thanks! This helped a lot! I was trying to use the Canon EOS Webcam Pro and found it to simply not work on Windows 11. It was very frustrating. Anyway, I really appreciate you posting a solution so I can use my T5i as a webcam.
You legit are like the only person I found who also has a T3 specifically and not a T3i. Anyways, I do have a couple of questions. I have been having issues getting my camera to even show up on the EOS utility app. I would just say connect an EOS camera. Every time I plug in my camera it makes the USB connected sound so I know it's connected to my computer and I installed and did everything as in the video. Would you be able to help? Also, does the app have a lot of latency? Like if I talked on the webcam, would it align with my mic? Thank you!
Hay, lets see how i can help, so firstly if I am correct your saying that you followed all the steps and you still cannot connect the camera to the eos utility app?(if so i would delete everything and do a fresh install of all the drivers and software)My instant soultion would be thinking its driver based and I recommend you reinstall all the drivers before you install the eos utility software and make sure your installing what i provided, if that doesnt help that could possible be a problem with you camera which I highly doubt, but take your time and try again :]
Just trying to figure out how to use OBS well and then also lost the part on how I can just make the screen appear on O.B.S without the other camera options for auto focus, histogram, etc
I have canon 350d somehow its cf card slot pins are broken but i managed to adjust the cf card. Now i can take pictures but cant remove cf card for some reader . I need to connect it via data cable directly to pc . But available drivers doesn't work with window 10 64 bit . Please suggest me some software so that i can use it for downloading pics to pc. Waiting Thanks in advance
I followed every step and it doesn't connect. Is the dummy battery and the power cable absolutely needed? because that is the only thing I did different. Thanks for everything.
The utility 2 in remote shooting section is not working for me..what can I do to get it to work... Or must there be a card reader in the camera before it works..
Hey Thanks for the great video. Please pin a comment to the top of this video. The cable you need is not a "USB 2" cable it is a " USB Mini B USB 2.0 cable" People are ordering the wrong cables so I thought I'd be even more specific. (I had 3 customers order "USB 2" cable from my eBay shop and all three mentioned this video when they returned the cables for the correct cable. 🙏 Thanks!
This video is so unrated. Thank you so much for helping me connect my old Canon Rebel T5i to my macbook!

Best tutorial out there to do this! super appreciated!
Thank you so much, your comment means a lot to me.

The section about WHERE to download the utility was the gamechanger that made your video work and the other ones NOT. Thx.
Do I have to use a dummy battery and adapter?
Awesome video! Thank you for sharing 🙏🏾

Does it record in the cameras native resolution? Or is it just a screen recording of the live view?
Very good video btw
Does anyone know how to get this to work on the canon t4i?

also be sure that your camera doesn't have wifi enabled or it won't let usb be detected. it took me 30 minutes to figure that out
Thanks for letting us know :0

did you figure it out because i didnt have the dummy battery either
I would recommend flowing every step to a tee that I've provided and acquiring all the items that I used in the video for best results.
@@runielparkerstudios4285 nah u dont have to do all that. It worked perfectly fine for me without the dummy battery and power cable.
