Why is every hot glue gun creaky as shit? Thought it was just ours
Haha, good observation. I guess it must be the high temperature changing tolerances or maybe the sound of the glue stick itself being moved around??
@@someoneinncarolina Maybe, great video either way lol. I'm looking to get this camera soon hopefully, looks very nice. Have you ever tried using it for astrophotography by chance? Even if it's just a picture of the moon or some star trails? How's it perform? Can't find any videos really of this camera being used for that
@@bravo4104 Awesome idea, and definitely an interest of mine; however, I have not gotten around to that. Seems like anything with exposure + tracking + the right lens could pull that off though. So with the right equipment, it seems feasible.
@@someoneinncarolina I'm back, and I got the camera haha. I've had it for 1 month and I'm LOVING it. Not loving the weather though, as there have been only 2 clear nights in the past 33 days.. but when I was able to try it on the night sky I was blown away! Never been able to capture pictures like that before. The core of the milky way is on the southern hemisphere at night until spring/summer, but I was able to photograph thousands of stars that aren't visible to the eye, as well as the Orion nebula! Not much detail in it though as all I have is the basic 18-55mm kit lens, I'm so excited for a 55-250mm lens. After that I'll think about getting a star tracker, those can be pretty expensive and aren't totally necessary for me just yet so I'll definitely wait.. so for anyone else wondering, it's great for astrophotography!
@@bravo4104 Thank you for the update - very cool!
that stupid decision of canon of dont putting a simple jack
This video should be called how to jack your D7 camera
Brilliant man, but i woul rather buy t7i for an extra 100$
Absolutely!
Excellent idea. But what about the normal person who is afraid of atopsy 🤭
Probably need JIS pattern jewelers screwdrivers on Japanese products, standard Phillips don't fit properly. Protect innards from dropped bits of molten solder, etc. I wouldn't attempt this on a valuable camera.
I knew it was just a simple matter of replacing the mic with a jack, but yeah…I’m way too chaotic neutral to attempt this kind of teardown. 😑
I just got this camera as Christmas gift. I think I will be returning it. Who wants to do all that?
Shouldnt even have to do all of that. Thate fuck type of $400 dollar camera doesnt come with external mic jack???
Yeah, definitely. They should at least be clear and consistent about this limitation.
The easy work around is buying a zoom h1
and just holding it?
I bought both adpoter non of them working to this camera no auto focus no flip screen dont buy it sucks for vlogging
Exactly the point of my video - there is no way for an external mic other than a hardware hack. Also no flip screen like you mentioned. I don't think the brand itself is being deceptive so much as the misinformation on seller descriptions.
The camera isn’t ment for vlogging 😂
Omg let me put the battery and sd card back in… I can’t even attempt this.. I have no tools😂
Just buy a camera with a mic output. This is too much to deal why risk it.
Man use a obs and a audio interface
Um, 🤔 I think I’ll just buy a camera that has an external mic
😂

Just by a 2.5 to 3.5mm adapter, here is the one I found
www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=7121&gclid=Cj0KCQiAlZH_BRCgARIsAAZHSBkdbhYzJsqT0G6c9GTe8uYE_TJnblSBmt568NCZHhDDudBDWAvEe4oaArHkEALw_wcB
that I hope will work very well if you wanna find one for yourself you'll have to search "2.5 to 3.5 mono male to female adapter".
Can i send my Camera to u ill pay
Before try this on your canon t7 cash app me money for the one I destroyed for listening to this bs...
Pretty sure you're trolling, but this is a straight forward hack on a complex device - at your own risk. At no point do I advocate attempting this unless you're comfortable with electronics and have the correct tools/experience, and note that it voids the warranty, etc.
it would have been easier if you had also used duct tape!
You could have just bought. 2.5 to 3.5mm jack for $6
Nope
This is so extra...
Just use a mic to your phone
