Again, a very nice video. There is little doubt that the 12r is an absolutely wonderful device. Especially, for the price tag. I would also like to point out that you are quite correct about the Snapdragon 8 generation 2 chipset. Simply because it's 1 year old doesn't make it worse. In fact, I have that same chipset and my OnePlus 11 which I'm now using as my backup phone. Regardless, I did choose the 12 and I'll tell you why. I am a legally blind low vision user and I felt the 12 better suited my needs. First off, quad HD offers much more detail. For most people the difference between quad HD and standard HD may not be that big of a deal. However, with only 15% vision I'll take every advantage I can get. Secondly, the 12 offers much better vibration motor. Anyone that has navigated their device with talkback via the Android accessibility suite will know what I'm talking about. Finally, updates are very important to me. The 12 offers one more year of support. Obviously, my needs are unique compared to the regular user but, those are things to consider when spending your hard-earned money. I've been using the 12 for several days now and I have absolutely no regrets.
As someone who does photography as a hobby I would probably pay extra for the 12. I really want to get one. I bought a Google pixel 7 pro recently since T-Mobile doesn't sell OnePlus phones anymore and I've already put my sim card back into my old OnePlus 8. The battery has definitely degraded since when I first bought it but I like the performance of the OnePlus 8 more than the Google pixel 7 pro. The pixel has a better camera for sure. But it just has too many quirks and bugs and glitches that ruin the user experience for me and make it a frustrating device to own.
@@Tax_Mny camera is not my priority And wireless charging too as well as telephoto lens too.. Just need performance with perfectly balanced...with everything... Then what do u suggest 12r!!! Pocket is not a factor to buy this... What do u suggest then.. should I go for 12 or 12r
@@LostInTheMiddleOfNowhere If the things you mentioned are not priority then I'd go with 12r. The gen 1 processor is great from what I hear. It's just not the latest processor but that doesn't mean it's bad. My OnePlus 8t was 4 years old (I just traded it for the 12) and it worked great!!! The only issue was the camera
@@Tax_Mny thanks...and one thing 12r comes with sd gen 2... And I think 50 mp and 16 mp Rear and front camera would be ok...what do u think... 12r will be a good balanced one...!!!!
Just got the 12r, actually went to Best buy and used both and really didn't see a big difference other than the 12 feels a tad heavier, don't regret getting the 12r.. It hasn't heated up while charging and watching videos like on my pixel..I didn't really care about the AI stuff, just give me a dependable phone.. Got tired of getting on the bus to swipe my card on my phone only for it to decline twice before it goes thru while people are behind me getting on...
💥💥I hate cured display and the ugly circular camera on the new oneplus phones. Before I got my Samsung S23 ultra last summer had I known Samsung was going to have the flat display on the SS4 ultra. I would've waited and got the S24 ultra So I use my OnePlus 9 5G and i got the regular Samsung S23 also I use these two phones a little bit more than my ultra.
you find the haptics important but not the quality of the back panel ? on the more expensive one the back feels like paper. very sad that no one mentions that.

++ I also noticed a lot of bugs on pixel 7a. And I don't understand why everyone says that pixels work perfectly
It's great to see this kind of performance for "as little" as the 12R costs in 2024😁
Flagship killer back in the house! Especially since you can get it for $399 with trading in any phone.
@Oldasianguy My daughter was born in 1999
@Oldasianguy Yes, I think it's cheap but other people might think otherwise and I respect that
I hope Next version can get wireless charging and better camera and ip68 in the oneplus13r
Which one you would prefer oneplus12R or Asus Rog 6 or nubia z60 ultra?
The Nubia is the best out of those 3. But if you can afford the Nubia z60 ultra you should really consider the OnePlus 12
@@davidbezzant9820 thanks for answer 💁🇩🇪
can you please tell me if the microphone is good on the less expensive one ?
One plus 12 having Dolby Atmos
So does the 12r. @@Gmr239
Looking at my wifes S24 Ultra vs the 12r, you're right. The 12r's screen is more yellow. Weird.
If it's like my current OnePlus it may be in warm comfort display mode. You can adjust that.
Which one should i consider one plus 12 or 12r
Think about your needs and your bank account and then make the decision.
For me I purchased the 12 because it fits my needs and pocket.
