    Welcome to the family! :) I bought an X-t1 a few years back to try out, just like you. A couple of years forward and I´m all Fuji now and I have never regreted the switch from Canon. As time goes on I enjoy using the system more and more. I even no longer miss "the full frame look" because Fuji has lenses more than capable of creating very good separation and I often have to stop them down to get enough depth of field. I now primarily use an X-t3 and an X-pro 2 for pro work but I still like and use the X-t1 and I even have an X-100t as a pocketable solution, which has the same sensor as the X-t1. All very good cameras and the system is just brilliant. Happy shooting!

    I brought an X-T1 about 12 months ago. And immediately sold off all my Olympus mirrorless cameras, all newer than the X--T1. For a camera from 2014, it outstripped those Olympus in advance features and output. I'll keep my X-T1 until it stops working, so about another 20 years.
    Weather-sealed, horizontal adjustment line, two screens in the viewfinder, the smaller second screen zoomed in to check the focus on the subject. With works in the horizontal and the vertical. The best film simulations, why beyond what those much newer Olympus cameras offered. Lens adaptability, to fit any lenses for manual focusing. In sort an amazing camera. I really should buy a second one......maybe two......

    I started off with XE2 (same sensor as XT1), then upgraded to XT20, then to XT3. Eventually I downgraded back to the XT1. Just something about the sensor that's very magical. Hold on to that camera body. The newer sensors don't look as nice when paired with legacy lenses like your pentax lens.

    I've enjoyed photography for many years but my budget has always kept me from being able to actually buy a decent camera. now that I have just a couple hundred dollars to invest into the hobby, I'm thinking making this camera my very first camera purchase when going into the photography space. I'm really excited by your video and all the related videos regarding this camera. it really seems like it will fit my style and what I am aspiring to. thank you for the helpful resource!

    So pleased I came across this video, and a video presenter who doesn't come across as animated as a Childrens Presenter, as is often the case with YT. Just bought this camera, my first fuji too, and awaiting my first fuji lens. Today I went out and shot with it using a cheap adapter and an old Zeiss lens, doing street photography for my instagram, and must say , I loved it. Thinking of selling some of my canon gear now.

    I like the music you have chosen gentleman. I think you're new to RUclips.
    Keep in mind that even RUclips Audio library's no copyright called songs actually have copyrights. Most of the time copyright problems occur after 2 years you shared your video with this kind of music. The artist will not notice your video or the artist is wiser and not gonna make a copyright strike. These are the only chances you have if you are lucky. This is mainly because, RUclips Audio library doesn't sign a lifetime contract with artists. They usually sign 2 year. After 2 year artists are free to strike copyrights and earn money from your videos.
    That happened to me and I had no option other than changing the music / not earning money. I have started using the musics that RUclips Studio offers, which are absolutely 💯 % reliable and 💯% no copyright. There are nice jazz blues in there, which I use for background soft music.
    Other option is to use only small portions of the music. So, it will reduce the chance of the artist to notice it. And also, even if the artist have striked copyright, you can easily replace it without spoiling the whole video. With the other words, consider how easy it is gonna be to change the copyrighted music in case.

    • @don7117
      @don7117 2 года назад +2

      Well, I've had the camera for a couple days now, and while I can appreciate how some people like the mojo of this camera, what I am blown away by is its IQ. My Sony Alpha has better specifications in every category, but I can consistently get better photos with the X-T1. Yes, the images on the Sony can be printed larger - but I am not a commercial photographer and I don't make posters. For everyday photos, the Fuji wins on the end result. I am guessing it is the lack of anti-aliasing on the Fuji that makes the difference, along with their colour science. Damn. I am a big fan of the more advanced system of the Sony over the physical dials of the Fuji, but the quality of the results from the Fuji are better. This is the exact opposite of what I was expecting.

      @@ihavenoideahelp5239 I found it OK, but after getting the X-T1, and then an X-H1, I recently sold it all and went back to Sony. Wanted full frame, and Fuji doesn't have it. If I could afford a Fuji medium format camera, that would be my preference. But for now, Sony FF will have to do. I really love the Fuji colour science, but I find the Sony does a much better job with greens and browns in terms of clarity and dynamic range.

  • @matthieuzglurg6015
    @matthieuzglurg6015 3 года назад +1

    well, I have made the same thing. Bought an X-T1 a few months back because I was not really happy with my Canon M50. I mean that's a good camera and all but it lacks controls, the lens lineup is not really fleshed out on the EF-M mount, that sorta stuff.
    Bought it for about 250€ which is dirt cheap considering the price of other Fujis. Bought a XC 35mm F2 and an XF 18-135 to get all my common focal lengths, as well as adapting my 40 year old Nikon glass.
    In the begenning i thought I would miss things from the canon : Menus, incredible touch screen, fully rotating etc. But no, it was like it was never here, the amzing viewfinder made me forget about all that.
    Also, the X-T1 being an old Pro camera, you still have a lot of accesories to go with it : battery grips, hand grips, thumb grips, rubber replacement, new viewfinder eye piece... thing you wouldn't find forn an Entry level Canon or Sony. Considering buying a used X-T2 and using the X-T1 as a backup, but hey I might even buy another X-T1 considering how good it is (migh be good to have 4K recording with the X-T2 for some video work though)

    Hello, request for a hint. Sometimes I take pictures with a flash indoors and when I used an SLR I didn't have this problem and now when I have a Fuji XT1 mirrorless camera there is a problem with the dark viewfinder. In the SLR, you know what I would not set, you can always see in the viewfinder, in the mirrorless camera, the automatic selects, say, 1/10s and it's ok, but I want to use the flash in the manual, e.g. 1/100, it gets dark, how can it be avoided so that the viewfinder does not react to change the exposure relative to the one suggested by the automation?

    Hey Rowan :) Just watched your video and decided to subscribe actually. What peaked my interest at this particular time was the fact that i decided to get an adapter for my X-T10 i had around and never used. But i have shot with film more than digital the last couple of years and while i also have shot with both leica and nikon on the side, i started to enjoy going back to basics the more i shot it. I used to shoot film up until 2006 or so, then went down the digital rabbit hole, going from nikon, to fuji, to leica and back and forth hehe.
    I guess that journey was worthwhile since it made me realize after a long while using different bodies and lenses what i enjoyed the most and now decided to keep a few cameras and lenses and use them all the time.
    Also with the film cameras i went through these last couple of years i narrowed it down to a few Nikon film bodies and a few yentas bodies as well as some compacts.
    Now...back to the original point lol. So the Takumar lenses as you know are such a joy to shoot with and so small and compact, so i read a while that people used Sony and fuji to adapt those older M42 lenses. I was very intrigued by that and felt it would be very cool buying an adapter for my old X-T10 and try it out. I had a X-T1 and 2 and 3 in the past when i shot Fuji as well, and the X-T1 was actually the favorite out of all those three models for some of the reasons you talk about in your video.
    The sensor was very nice i recall, and i have shot some of my older favorite photos on it. They did something with the later sensors as well as made it bigger and crammed more AF features etc in it, but i liked it less for other reasons.
    So now im maybe looking to add another X-T1 again, think it would balance a little better with the X-T1 than the X-T10, but will see if i can find a good bargain on it.
    Thanks for the vid and hope you start adding some more content, we need more vids about film shooting and that realm! :)
    /regards Martin.
