Buyer beware. This is an Alfa Romeo with a Dodge badge on it. The Italians love the Atlantis High Communication bus architecture, which is very glitchy and unstable. Multiple software updates to address various recurrent issues and more software being developed. One should also be aware of the fact that the powertrain management is such that if the ICE misfires, the system will disable the injector on the offending cylinder for the duration of the ignition cycle, so if the system switches from electric to gas, and the gas engine has a misfire from a fouled plug (which on a cold start could be nothing more ominous than a bit of oil or condensed gasoline on the electrode which would clear pretty quickly on it's own) the engine will misfire and flash the MIL at the driver until the vehicle is stopped and the ignition is cycled.
It's strange that I had experienced issues with this car but never with the 3 Alfa Romeo cars (Stelvio, Giulia, Giulia Quadrifoglio) that I previously reviewed.
I was just in Italy a few weeks ago and saw a lot of Giuliettas around the streets. That's one car I'd would have loved to see for sale here in North America.
Personally, I see them as having the best of both worlds. Yes, it makes the cars more complicated but for city driving, it's great to not use gas. However, when you need to take a road trip, you're not going to have range anxiety or needing to plan your stops ahead for charging. Gas stations are readily available.
good review and quality video

a little bit controversial car...
I Agree, I want one but too much mix reviews.
It does seem that way.
We got this and the Alfa version....but we never got the Brera or its 4 doornor convertible version...life is cruel.

Don't buy this POS. Just ask Indiana's State police. They are already selling their Hornets. 45% engine failure first year
I think you mean Durango
@@chimrichalds1422 no those shitboxes are hornets. IN couldn't get Durangos so Stellantis offered these with a police package
@@billdavenport8228that’s not true…..and Indianan got plenty of Durangos they never got hornets.
this whole plug in hybrid mixing with ICE engines is so stupid to me just more things to fix when it goes bad becuz it will go bad .
