Just seeing dimebag in any context still gives me goosebumps to this day! R.i.p to the abbott brothers, and thank you for checking this one out, sucks they get copyrighted right away. Keep up the discovery of heavy metal 🤘🏼
Yeah, he really is amazing! 🎸 And for sure I will! It's been a fun journey. ☺️
Larger than life figure. Like Lemmy, Trent Reznor, Marilyn Manson, Till Lindemann, Layne Stanley, Kurt Cobain, Ville Valo, and Peter Steele.
@@Høbøbiłłzdon't forget Chris Cornell
he is the master
3theeeeeeee
Pantera- The Sleep
A very underrated song by them. I've never seen others react to it, it's a true masterpiece with an amazing solo
Pantera ~ Slaughtered 🔥🔥🔥
I'll add it to the list, thanks!
Please this one
Yessss. Verry heavy perhaps the heaviest song
@@user-yo8yw7ge9c slaughtered is a very thrash/death metal kinda song. I'm not sure its their heaviest but its one of their only songs in this style. Id venture to say suicide note pt1 and a couple others might actually be heavier though
"We'll figure out the lyrics later" is one of the best things you can hear on a reaction channel.
😂 Gotta figure it out sometime but there's so much to take it when listening to the song lol.
@nikkireviews just came across your channel, you ever hear of Ren, Tom Macdonald, Adam Calhoun, Ryan Upchurch, Madchild?
@@nikkireviewsIDK if you really do any rap type music but this song is awesome!
I've done a few Ren songs (which I really enjoyed!) but I don't think I've heard of any of the others before. 🤔 Do you have any particular songs you'd suggest? :)
I remember listening to pantera cowboys from hell on cassette as a kid..changed my life
I saw Pantera's performance in 1990... it changed my life.
I went back 32 years when I first heard this masterpiece album.
Check out the unedited version!!
Yeah, this version just pisses me off
this version is an insult to the original
Down is a band worth checking out for sure... Phil Anselmo of Pantera formed it w/ his friends from New Orleans who were in heavy, sludge metal bands... Pepper Keenan (guitar) made his mark as the vocalist(and guitarist) w/ the Nort Carolina band Corrosion of Conformity... Kirk Winstein (guitar) is also the vocalist of his band Crowbar, who have had a long career... Crowbar's original bassist Todd Strange did the first Down album 'NOLA' (New Orleans, Louisiana) in 1995, but he left the band (and left Crowbar as well)... Jimmy Bower (drums) played guitar in the band Eyehategod... Pantera bassist Rex Brown joined Down later and recorded 2 albums w/ them.
Down songs - 'Stone the crow'... 'Temptation's wings' ... 'Ghosts along the Mississippi' ... 'Bury me in smoke'.
Suicide note part 2 from the most underrated metal album in history 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
"Suicide Note 1 & 2" actually. Those two songs cannot be played separately, doing that would be a crime!
Probably their best 2 songs together with "This Love", "Walk" and "Cemetery Gates" and a bunch of others.
Sometimes I wish Phil went into making and recording Spoken Worlds shows like the legendary Henry Rollins...
This song is also incredible. It's progressive.
Hell yeah! I love Pantera, fan from Texas 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Oh cool, Texas! And yeah, I've really been enjoying what I've listened to so far!
They have a cover of a BLACK SABBATH song 🎵 "PLANET CARAVAN" it's really good too
Hm I'll have to check that out. 🤔 Thanks!
they also did Electric Funeral for NIB II
@@corrob I didn't know that, never heard it, thanks
Roller-coaster ride through the video for sure with the change in heavier and lighter vibes. Also loved the Guitar solos ,need more of those in the newer music IMO.Yes this is one of those songs left up to our interpretation.
I agree! Newer music needs more guitar solos for sure. 🎸
This is love ! this is looooooovvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeee!
A salute to Dimebag(R.I.P.) for rockin' the Dead Horse shirt.
The whole vulgar display of power album is awesome. You should do f*ckin hostile next
Pantera - Drag the Waters and
Lamb of God - Laid to Rest are bangers too!
Thumb up as always :) PANTERA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MOre please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yeah!
🥳
The best part of the song was edited out. It sounds like you would have agreed. Always go with original audio. 90's MTV was garage.
Oh no. 🙈 That's the problem with reactions lol.. I'll definitely check out the original - thank you!
This. I waited for the drop……and it never came.
My favorite part is the riff after the second chorus but it's been cut short in the video version too.
It's funny watching someone who isn't a metalhead try to analyze a group like Pantera. Metal heads have their own meaning of the song based upon their life. That is why we are metal heads. We don't analyze, we take our and make it or own.
I love that. I think that goes for any kinda sound though. Which is why I love music so much. Anyone can make of it what they want. But I do like to analyze what the artist was feeling when they wrote it 🧐 haha
You need to check out down!!!!
There's a longer version of this song, fyi.
Loved the " we'll figure out the lyrics later" 😅
absolute FAVORITE Pantera track...new to your channel...sub'd! FUN!
yeah...phil said the video doesn't really reflect the meaning of the song...you got it right
Awesome! Thank you! I've been enjoying going down the Pantera rabbit hole. ☺️
Many years later this song still brings a smile to my face when I remember breaking up with my crazy ex blasting it outside her bedroom window 🤘😂🤘
😂😂
The word truly lost an icon - a legend - a visionary - when Dime was taken from us. RIP to BOTH Abbott brothers. 🙏
Phil Anselmo is pretty awesome at writing lyrics that can be interpreted in a lot of ways. Watch your step, you're about to fall down the Phil Anselmo rabbit hole. It starts with, "oh, he has another band called Down, I'll have to check that out," and then, "oh, he has another band and another band and another band and another band and another band" forever..... because they're ALL awesome and different.
Haha well I'm looking forward to checking them all out over time. 😁
@@nikkireviews absolutely check out Down, amazing band, my fave song is Stone the Crow ruclips.net/video/Kdnki7XBzPE/видео.htmlsi=cFVG35nDV_7ocwJM
Yeah check out DOWN 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@MULEHEAD73 Absolutely 💯
~Bury Me in Smoke
~ Stone the Crow
~ Temptations Wings
~ Eyes of the South
Yes!!! Down is great and often overlooked bc they didn't do a whole lot.
What a wild ride. I agree that the video seems kinda like “whaaaaat?” Vs the lyrics
😂 Right?? 😜
Domination ( live in Moscow )
valentines song
It’s the musical translation of its “Complicated”
For sure 😂
Good pick

Pantera forever. Also, Chris Cornell forever.
I hate that they edited parts of the song out... gotta love good ol MTV not wanting to play a 6 minute long song. RIP St. Dime & St. Vin. I fucking miss you brothers!!!!
Yeah I had no idea when I reacted to it that it was the wrong version. 🫣
@@nikkireviews it wasn't technically the wrong version, it was edited when they made the music video is all.
Lyrics are totally different, more like Romeo & Juliette 😈🤘 love the breakdown at the end...
The song was actually written about the singers relationship with his father... witch was volatile... it had nothing to do with prostitutes or whores.
Mtv put there spin on that for the video.
Ohh. Very interesting. 🤔🤔
Please check out the video VH1 Behind The Music Pantera. You will laugh, you will cry, you will wear a Pantera shirt with pride!
5 minutes alone!!!!
The Great Southern Trendkill. 1st half makes some question their life decisions, 2nd half has some of the best guitar recorded by man.
Ummm, the album version is different, I suggest listening to that one, it’s better. Glad I was able to see them in Houston back in ‘96 while White Zombie opened up for them. Hands down THE best concert I’ve seen to date.
I loved this reaction. Definitely a departure from Beavis and Butthead’s reaction to “This Love”.
Check out Eriatarka by The Mars Volta
You should react to the polyhedric legend Henry Rollins... from his Hardcore American Punk of his early group BLACK FLAG up to the homonymous HENRY ROLLINS BAND latest masterpieces. A true "must react to" artist for sure!
Please check out DOWN, what a great band.
I FORGOT HOW BAD THE MUSIC VIDEO VERSION IS :( it cuts out the best heavy parts of the song.
I had no idea when I was reacting. 😪
This wasn't the entire version of the song. Missed a bit after he says "no more head trip".
I had no idea this was the wrong version until after uploading. 🙈 Thanks for letting me know though. 👌🏻
Go with the studio version of I Am The Highway by Audioslave... Then try Getaway Car, Out Of Exile, and The Curse..❤❤❤
Awesome, thanks! ❤
Should've done the studio version.
Ok I’ll add it to the list. But I’d like you to get into the Seattle stuff.
What Seattle stuff, specifically? 🤔
@@nikkireviews Alice n chains, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden. Also foo fighters
Domination/hollow next
I did a video for Domination and loved it but then it got blocked - permanently. 😪 I will have to give Hollow a try though, thank you!
You gotta listen to the album version. They cut out a decent chunk of the song for the video
This is one of the best things Phil ever wrote. It may not be what he “intended” it to mean, but I took it kinda like you. “Love” isn’t for weaklings. The shit hurts. Like everything, it has a dark side. It can hurt so bad that you become enraged beyond the rage you could muster if it was just about you and not the other person. Love is pain, and it is ferocious. Thank you, Phil…as if you’re reading some jackass’s RUclips comment on this reaction video. Thanks for doing this one!
🤘🏴☠️
That's very true. I like how you look at it. 💛 And thanks for being here and watching! I appreciate it!
Shedding skin is one of his best as well
radio edit? missing the middle part...
Its not a love song per se, but a song about love gone very, very sour.
I will have to give that a listen. 🤨Thank you :)
That's the short version
Yeah 😕 I had no idea upon first listen.
Why did you eliminate the breakdown at "no more head trips"?
Its the music vid. Its different from studio version
I just picked the wrong version to react to. 🫣 I had no idea at the time lol.
Cannibal Corpse - Necropedophile
I've never heard Cannibal Corpse before. 👀 They sound intense haha.
@@nikkireviews There's always a first time 😅
Can you make more pantera songs please
Sure! Do you have any in particular you'd like? :)
@@nikkireviews domination or revolution is my name
Megadeth - Holy wars... the punishment is due is a must hear song
You should really check out the album versions as opposed to the videos. That song was literally cut in half.
NOOOO THEY CUT THE BREAKDOWN OUT
Pantera is crucial and monumental in music history, they destroyed Grunge music and opened the door for the Nu - Metal movement.....unlike the band on your t-shirt
Are you a Vampire?
Nope
Crappy version boo
Hey, you should get more views. Try not putting the word "reaction" in quotes or in parenthesis. Put it twice in the description (at least) as well.
I say this only because I've searched the phrase "Pantera Reaction" yesterday and your video did Not show up. I think the way you're labeling your videos is messing with the search function.
✌️ Check out a little Tool if you wanna build your audience.
I hate this fvcking video because for whatever reason it removes a heavy ass chugging bridge section from the actual song. I beleive its the same riff that is being played during the outro of the video... I suggest staying away from "Official Music Videos" because they can be distracting and do sometimes alter the original version for whatever reason. Just my humble opinion.
...and GOATWHORE is such a killer band!
I can tell you're not a metal head. Keep on trying.
Lol she's working on it. At least she isn't disgusted by the best genre out there 😂
For sure. I'm new to the genre. For a while all I listened to was Metallica before I branched out to other bands. So like someone else said, I'm working on it. 😜
