Nobody could touch Bash's pipes in the late 80s early 90s! Dude took care of himself and his voice if you can believe that going back to the dangerous style he was known for, he really belted it out! He sounds amazing still to this day. Obviously doesn't have the same range he used to have but still has a great singing voice.
@@jacobmarriott7971 I never listened to it but you're probably right 😊 I wanted to recommend a popular one because i think it's better to begin with the "easy listening" songs when someone is not familiar with a certain type of music
I don’t think Sebastian was in theater before Skid Row but he was after. I saw him on Broadway in 2000. He had the lead role in the musical Jekyll and Hyde.
You mention theater with the Skid Row Singer - his name is Sebastian Bach and after the band broke up he actually did Broadway for a number of years too. Was in the Jekyl and Hyde broadway show as the lead roles.
I was 16 when their debut album came out and I bought it right away. I was learning how to play guitar and just had to learn all the songs on the album. Scotti's solo was amazing and no one knew what to make of the off-note squeal at the end of the solo but we absolutely loved it! This song was most people's introduction to Sebastian Bach and he had the best pipes in Hard Rock imo. My absolute favorites of theirs are Wasted Time, 18 and Life, I Remember You, Youth Gone Wild, and Sweet Little Sister.
I am so happy for all of your success on this platform, Nick. I could listen to you sing all day. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Love you!!! 💕 P.S. He does have a theater background. Nice catch. 🤗
You should check out the band Steelheart. Anything from their first two albums. Their singer has some PIPES. 🔥 I loved the 80s look and sound. Great reaction!
Seen an interview with Sebastian where he said that he was heavily influenced by Steve Perry from Journey and tried to sing the song in his range. I seen him in concert and he was just as awesome live. Also, if I remember right he starred as Jesus in in the Broadway show Jesus Christ Super Star. Great reaction!! 🙂
@@procrasin1 I've seen them in concert a couple times and he always sounds great. I think they still tour so at least you still have a chance to see them. Hope you get the opportunity. You will have a great time. 🙂
Sebastian was the prettiest HUMAN on the planet then, male or female, with the voice of an absolute angel. That’s why God also made his personality the equivalent of a 2 year old with ADHD hopped up on caffeine and sugar. He was…a LOT personality wise. But he was a perfect frontman in a time period that had a ton of good frontmen. Do Wasted Time. You won’t regret it. By the way, he ended up doing a run on Broadway in the Jekyll & Hyde musical.
There's a hidden gem of a vocalist named warrel dane. I recommend listening to the song die for my sins or seasons of destruction live in 1990. Both are audio only but it's high quality audio (it's the one with an album cover as the thumbnail and low views for both)
Great reaction, can tell you dug the hell out of his vocals and they surprised you. I never saw Skid Row with Sebastian back in the day, but saw them with their second singer after they had kicked him out. That singer was okay, he also didn't try to be Sebastian, which was good. I've seen Sebastian on solo tour twice now, and including last year, and he still has that range and is awesome. Fun side note, in late 90s, he needed a guitarist for a tour, and he called up Paul Cook, who had been Anthrax's touring guitarist. He did the tour with Sebastian Bach. Anthrax ended up needing a touring guitarist for a tour, and they called up the lead guitarist from Skid Row, Dave Sabo.
Please consider placing the transparent video image over your other shoulder, so that we can see it better without the mini blinds. Thanks, love you channel.
Man, I normally check to see if things have been done. Oh well. Bas gets up to about an E5 fairly comfortably in this I think. Love this tune. 80s era rock ballads were a mandatory track on pretty much any album. Fun song to play as well.
Skid Row "Monkey Business" and "18 and Life". Both are GREAT. Bas is one of the best vocal masters from that "Hair" era! Also I would love for you to checkout Unleash The Archers "Awakening" and/or "Tonight We Ride", IMO the BEST Female Power Metal Singer EVER! Brittney Slayes!
@@choppingpenguin It's crazy how good the music, lyrics, and singing is. No wonder they are becoming so decorated in their genre! "Abyss" has also hit that level for me.
Great reaction, Dom. Sebastian certainly has some pipes, a very unique singer, unfortunately his on and off-stage antics were costly to the group's ongoing success. Skid Row were hugely popular at the end of the 80's, up there with the greats like Bon Jovi, Cinderella, Poison, Ratt, Winger, Dokken, Steelheart etc.... If you want to hear pipes, listen to Steelheart - Sheila (Acoustic) ruclips.net/video/CDUdiXXM0LU/видео.html, singer Mili will blow your face off 💀💀
Steelhearts singer can hit some of the highest notes…if Whitney and Mariah had a baby it would sound just like the lead singer and he also did the Vocals for Rock Star with Mark Walhburg…❤❤❤
Hey man, I requested a song thru cashapp like a month or two ago that you still haven’t done. Not sure how backed up you are in requests, so I totally get it if you just haven’t gotten to it yet. Just reminding you incase you skipped over it on accident. Love the content as always!
That confused the hell out of me for a while, thought you had messed the title up putting skid row reaction but then 3 minutes of mike and the mechanics..... 🤣
I love Skid Row!! Sebastion Bach is the best of the best. Off subject,,,,, Tim Foust has a new tune out" If I Can't Have You " ! It's incredible!! Thanks buddy!
Nice review Nick. Watched this yesterday, then found this in my feed. Worthwhile checking out how good his voice still is after so many years from when the original was produced. ruclips.net/video/f4EuteJINWY/видео.html

One of my all time favourite songs. I wish music today was still this good. Also I agree, he had the best hair
Skid Row - "Wasted time" is certainly the most vocally impressive in my opinion!
I think livin on a chain gang is.
@@jacobmarriott7971 I never listened to it but you're probably right 😊 I wanted to recommend a popular one because i think it's better to begin with the "easy listening" songs when someone is not familiar with a certain type of music
@@b.b6372 you have to listen to it. He easily hits his most powerful note in that song!
I will accept “Wasted Time”, and raise you “Quicksand Jesus”!! Easily his best TWO vocal performances in my superior opinion. 🤘🏻
"I Remember You" is my all-time favorite Skid Row song.
And Sebastian Bach can SAAAANNNNNGGGG!
Sebastian was created in a lab to be the perfect hard rock band vocalist.
I don’t think Sebastian was in theater before Skid Row but he was after. I saw him on Broadway in 2000. He had the lead role in the musical Jekyll and Hyde.
One of my fave rock songs ever , he kills this snd vocals are insane
This song is so f****** melodic he was the goat in the '80s that's for sure and you are right A+ for the hair lol
You mention theater with the Skid Row Singer - his name is Sebastian Bach and after the band broke up he actually did Broadway for a number of years too. Was in the Jekyl and Hyde broadway show as the lead roles.
Bro in first chorus: “his voice is so high!”
All of us who know the song by heart: wait for it
Sebastian Bach the lead singer is a classically trained singer. You're spot on with that observation.
Ok now you need to listen to Steelheart - "I'll never let you go".
Another 80s rock band with the craziest vocals I've ever heard!
Loved watching your reaction to this. Yes, this is an insane vocal performance.

And now we’re lucky enough to live in a time where Scotti breaks down the solo in a RUclips vid
@@kane29842 I know! Talk about giving back to the fans!!
Quicksand Jesus too
He auditioned for a Broadway show. He told the other people auditioning, “this is a singing part, you’re gonna lose”
18 and life!!!! Is a must.
My sisters and I used to rush home after school every day to watch this video on the MTV countdown. We were in love with Sebastian! 🥰
one of those songs i wished i could have done in my cover band, but i just couldn't do it hahaha he's a special voice
One of my favourite late ‘80’s/early90’s rock bands ❤️
This my class song in 1990 and to add what you said he has done some Oprah songs, He has one of the best voices I've heard

Brings me back to my early childhood since I was born in 85 and this came out in 89
Beautiful hair, beautiful vocals, most of all BEAUTIFUL MAN 😍
Mate your still dropping banger reactions after I first saw you here on yt 💯
Youth Gone Wild and 18 n Life were 2 other really popular ones. Video for 18 n Life is really good.

Paul Carrack was the lead singer of Mike and the Mechanics. He also sang for a group called Squeeze. Damn good voice!

I don’t know if he had a theater background then but he did eventually end up in a few shows.
Man I’m such a huge Sebastian fan - I gotta toss you some live stuff cause dude was nuts when he had his stamina
Saw him open for GNR about 10 years ago and it was absolutely fantastic. Completely nuts.
Sebastian Bach and Skid Row opened for GNR at Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland, NZ. It was amazing.
There's a hidden gem of a vocalist named warrel dane. I recommend listening to the song die for my sins or seasons of destruction live in 1990. Both are audio only but it's high quality audio (it's the one with an album cover as the thumbnail and low views for both)

Quicksand jesus is a must for one of the best songs from skidrow!
Yes I consider it a classic
Try youth gone wild. Sebastian's is a phenomenon
Seb was an absolute beast back then with an ego to match it

I had hair Like Sebastian’s when i was in 7th grade through my senior year of College

Such a great song
My 2 worlds colliding. My favourite singers are Sebastian Bach and Morissette. Love all your reactions and authenticity.
Still pushing for Skid Row: Wasted Time. Vocal LEGEND.

Sebastian was a very underrated singer... But he always nailed it
That's an understatement~
The singer Sebastian Bach has actually been in Broadway plays
I believe Sebastian does have a bel canto background and after he left the band he was the lead in the musical of Jekyll and Hyde :)
Steelhearts singer can hit some of the highest notes…if Whitney and Mariah had a baby it would sound just like the lead singer and he also did the Vocals for Rock Star with Mark Walhburg…❤❤❤
Please do In a Darkened Room and Wasted Time by them you will not be disappointed!
This video said Skid Row but comes up as Mike & The Mechanics
Sebastian Bach and Rob Halford, 2 best singers of all time imo, the guy from Steel Heart not too far behind though.
