    I've been really really wanting a white princess. For some reason I just haven't had the chance. But while I have been waiting I've watched more than a few RUclips videos on the White Princess. Thank you for the suggestion for using moss to root. Hadn't heard that before. That I'm sure would help w my success rate w transition from water to soil. Great results w the water rooting for plants but low success rate on the transitioning to soil. I think it is because of my not being able to figure out what 'moist' 😆😂 either too dry or root issues almost immediately. The suggestion is definitely going to get more attention towards actually getting the White Princess. 🌱♥️🌱♥️🌱♥️🌱

    Howdy! I got a white princess in the mail that came on a really thick stem. Unfortunately, a lot of the leaves are a bit broken. I've also made the mistake of misting it, and now have patches of gross mushy leaves. Any idea on how I can help the plant thrive? (I'm taking your comment to heart about not watering until it's 80% dry!) Thank you!

      Sorry to hear that! i hope your white princess bounces back! i mist my plants and don't get mushy leaves so not sure if your plant came with something already wrong with it :(. it probably needs to be rehabbed as it was shipped. i would quarantine the plant, keep in high humidity with good air circulation and bright indirect light!

    Yours is lovely. I was wondering how much stem and leaf variegation I should look for when buying one? I want to ensure as a decent amount of variegation?

    • @GloriasPlants
      @GloriasPlants  2 года назад +1

      i would look for variegation on the stem and some chunks of variegation on the leaves so that it at least is starting with good plant genetics and you just need to continue placing the plant in ideal conditions which will stimulate more variegation!

    I’ve just bought a cutting online and it has one long root but no secondary roots, I have it in water at the minute but not sure if this is the best method as you mentioned moss? Would you recommend I put it in moss instead?

    • @GloriasPlants
      @GloriasPlants  3 года назад +1

      i generally like to root my cuttings in moss over water which i find faster...but it's probably easier to watch for root growth / potential rotting issues if it's in water as opposed to digging through the moss!

      @@GloriasPlants yeah I didn’t like it in water so I changed it to moss yesterday. Thank you so much

    Is the variegation stable?

    • @GloriasPlants
      @GloriasPlants  3 года назад +1

      i believe so..i haven't seen any that have reverted but if you keep in bright light it should be good. the pink princess reverts much more frequently and needs constant chops / cutbacks to stimulate more variegation
