  • Tamiya brewster buffalo pacific theater 1/48 scale model full build and paint
Using Mig Oilbrushes for the first time and i am impressed with them for their easy out of the bottle use
i completely build the brewster and paint the kit using portable airbrush
the kit comes with masking template for the canopy
i airbrush the camo by free hand this time to create a smooth edge finish

    Just a super build.
I have one myself on the bench and a couple in the stash.
Bought my first one at a show back in the '90s after they had been out of production for years. A measly $10 US and I took off for the car like I'd stolen an old lady's purse.
    They were halcyon days then.

The model looks great. Sad it was such a bad plane in WWII.

A great kit still, despite its' age (came out in 1974).

Then again l love the original pz4 that was early 70s I believe
I think tamiya make some cracking kits but the more recent stuff can be expensive

Mmmmm..pitty the glass bottom isn't correct for the British version...it's only correct for the US Navy... for the rest..nice build ;-)

Didn't know about that's for the glass underside
Built as instructed but i am still happy with it because it was a fun kit to build

From the pictures I find on the web, the glass bottom is present on the commonwealth versions?

    • @cellardwellerproductions5125
      @cellardwellerproductions5125 8 месяцев назад

      This is incorrect.
All Brewster Buffaloes were shipped from the factory with the bottom windows in place.
The dash -3 was not built with the windows in the design and never saw them.
Finland replaced damaged window panels with sheet metal but sources say that at later rebuilds the majority had their windows replaced.
Look to the inter webs and ask the question 'were the windows on the Brewster Buffaloes painted over'.
Any information from Jim Maas should be taken as gospel.

@@cellardwellerproductions5125 I don't agree, there are many sites around showing pictures of Belgian Buffalo's with factory markings leaving for Belgium..but never reaching it and none had a glass bottom.
