    I just bought my first real camera, and it came with filters.. I had no idea what they were for, now I get it. Thank you, camera guru.

    Thank you Digital Goja Little tip: buy the largest size filter to fit your largest lens and use a stop down ring to fit your other lenses, that way there you only have to buy one set. Thanks again.

    Those are exactly the three filters I use, the ND gets used most often for some reason event organizers like to have their events around noon time.
    worst time to shoot, ND filter it is ,
    One thing I found with some variable ND filters on the Canon 10-18 is take the UV filter off if you use one, otherwise you get a circle from the filter at the 10mm end.

    I have a canon rebel t7i and I ordered the 3 pack that includes the uv filter, the cpl and the ND4. My question is can I use them the uv filter and the cpl filter together? is so which one should I put on first? Thanks in advance.

      Hello, Scott French. While the filters can be stacked, I wouldn't recommend doing so. For best results, I would recommend removing the UV filter before attaching the CPL filter. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for doing this video. This is my first video to know about filters and I mostly don't need to watch other videos. Thanks again.

    Hi there, greetings from the UK. I'll hopefully get a "new old stock" Canon 80D soon, as well as a Tamron 150-600 G2, which I think is a 95mm filter thread. A lot of people say that on a lens 300mm and above, filters do more harm than good quality wise... Any thoughts? Cheers! 👍🏻

    Any modern digital sensor shouldn't be sensitive to UV radiation, so how does an UV filter help to reduce a haze? And if that does not help, why sb needs one? A clear filter or any filter actually is enough as a protection for a lens.

    So my question is I have a purple FILTER marked purple on the ring, and I have an FLD FILTER what are the difference between the two?

    • @DigitalGojaUSA
      @DigitalGojaUSA  4 года назад +1

      Hello, Stancord. That's a great question. The FLD filter has been around since the film days and was used to corrects for the greenish cast that appears when shooting daylight film under general purpose fluorescent lighting. You don't typically use them on a digital camera because you have white balance correction in camera. Standard purple filters would just add a purple cast over your image. Thanks for watching!

      @@DigitalGojaUSA well I use the lens when i shoot sunsets sometimes, the reason for the question is to the naked eye both filters look the same. I guess I'll just try them both out and see what happens.

      That would be the best way to determine which works best for your needs. Take care.

      Hi, we have some kits with the CPL available, what is the diameter size of your lenses so we can look for a kit to suggest to you?

    You forgot to mention the Brita water filter. As well as a air filter for your Prius. Science? I’ll go ask Mr Wizard how it works.

    • @DigitalGojaUSA
      @DigitalGojaUSA  5 лет назад +2

      Hi, if you install our filters in a Prius it might devolve into a DeLorean, and you might travel back in time, we do not recommend that. Adam Sandler did it, and now you can see him in all of our videos using the knowledge he brought from the future :)

    what about square filters and square holder and wide lend like 14 F/2.8 what filters can be used ??

    • @DigitalGojaUSA
      @DigitalGojaUSA  4 года назад +1

      Hello Avner Ben zvi. If you have a lens like Nikon's 14mm f2.8 you would need a specialized lens adapter. Something like LEE Filters SW150 Mark II Lens Adapter. This would allow you to attach their SW150 Mark II filter holder for use with 150mm-wide and 2mm-thick filters.
