I’m surprised they didn’t double box it. My current Lenovo Legion came from Lenovo’s website with an outer box and a fancy looking box that held the system. Hopefully the system is ok. I’ve been very happy with mine, and the service was good years ago when my first laptop from them needed fixing.
Nice video, i'd be shocked if i received a laptop box in that condition, i can't understand why it was not placed in an outer box to protect it from damage. Plus this shows everyone what you've bought, and yesi agree this box had clearly gotton badly wet and the card dried out.
After much thinking and many reviews, I got a copy of this PC. I am quite happy with it. It's just as expected in the reviews. I got the Yoga 2-1 version. The laptop is in general heavy compared to other 2-1 laptops. It's quite inconvenient in tablet mode. Also, a short glitch appears when there is a transition, for instance when a word is autocorrected. Those small things are small minor annoyments. Nevertheless, I got a huge deal when it was on sale where I bought it for half of the price. About 500 bucks, which is half the price. Currently, I recommend it.
Hi: Thanks for the video: relate to shipping/delivery & warranty coverage issues! Just testing mine out and was wondering if you noticed the touchpad makes a slight clicking sound (almost like it's loose) when sliding finger over it, but not actually clicking on it? Also, display is on the darker side and volume is lower than my existing PC, which is a bit surprising since this Lenovo Thinkbook is so much newer! Thanks for sharing your experience & info and looking forward to your feedback on the touchpad.

Nice looking laptop. I am pretty sure the boxing issues are delivery service related. Thanks for the laugh though - "my 14" Lenovo is bigger than my 13" iPad". I use a wireless mouse with my laptop. Never did like the track pad. Enjoy. Looking forward to the other videos you put out for this.

Lenovo really goes out of their way to hide the fact that there's an empty DIMM and SATA bay. If it weren't for your video, I wouldn't have known that so thank you! Just placed an order for the same machine (part# 20VD004UUS) - $1150 CAD including taxes and 3 yr on-site warranty.
Bought Lenovo 13s Thinkbook Gen2 ITL in Russia local market. And its broken next day. Not charging at all. Even the indicator does not light up when I connect the charger. The only thing I managed to do before the breakdown was put the laptop into power saving mode. Has anyone come across a similar one? The laptop has been in the service center for 2 weeks now and I still have no news.
I have got it some days ago, need to send back, wifi adapter is not visible. Sometimes it switches on sometimes off. We tried all, we thought so it’s software problem. But it was hardware(((
nice review. I just bought it last week. and I enjoy it! but I was wondering when I try the office (2019), I can use formula XLOOKUP (excel), Focus mode (word), etc. I just installed "indonesian" additonal keyboard. after few weeks that features has gone. did I do something mistakes??
very different. the whole pad clicks, but it is separated into areas. The bottom right is used for your right click. Takes a bit of time to get used to.
Hi, i am courious to know if there is going to be another review about how working on this thinkbook is. Did u actually noticed a constant fan noise? I just got my G2 thinkbook yesterday and its fan keeps running all the time even by 40°C or when im just surfing the net. After trying a lot of stuff, it did get reduced a little bit, but I still cant manage to keep it completely quiet. It would be cool if u could share any trick. :)
Me: The privacy stuff of Windows 10 is a pain in the aXX. I disable nearly everything and work on Linux whenever possible. Cruisn Canada: You want my data? Cool! ... Ok ... Sure ... There you go ...
of course it's the distributor/courier. But Lenovo is who hired them. Maybe they need to look at working with a company that doesn't destroy their packaging.

really hard to say. i have the new M1 macbook as well. Very different machines. Ill try and do a review of the 2 in a future video. not a bad idea.

I actually like it a lot. But the 13 would be nice as well. I have 13" Macbook Pro and the size isnt much different between the 2.

The reason they start your warranty before you even get the laptop is so you can use the warranty if anything happens to it during shipping I think?
And how would you know if something happens to it? You would only know if there is damage once it arrives.

Was it worth it after a year? I want to use this for music production although I think the one available here in the UK is different. It's i7.
the i7 would definitely be better. My iMac is an i7 and substantial difference over the i5.

well since this machine will have almost nothing on it, not much can be taken. My primary machines are all Macs.
