I have this laptop and I have it with its default RAM, GHZ, etc. And it's actually pretty okay for games like Minecraft, Stardew Valley etc. Not sure if it helps but it can be used for lower fps games :)

Can you game on your laptop? Yes you can, but as you mentioned, some settings will have to be sacrificed for any of the more intense games. You could probably play World of Tanks at medium settings but it's unlikely you would have much success with Cyberpunk 2077. It's always been that way for PCs. I think the problem with the jeep game was that you were driving on the wrong side of the road. Overall, for basic game play not at the highest graphic levels, this machine will do the job well enough to allow play you can enjoy.
yeah, the machine wasn't bought as a gaming machine for me. I will though try and put it through some editing tests as well to see how it does. But so far for what I'm using it for, it's doing very well.
yes running off of the battery. but ive tried both and the difference is so minimal if there is any at all. Plus its a laptop. Id want to play games when im away from home.

I have an ancient lenovo ideapad u330t and that worked fine with fl studio producer 20 but i can't stand lenovo's bloatware and my internet kept dropping out so i don't want anything to do with that brand. yes please report back, though as things might have changed. is the display good on it?

Your a pretty good gamer and I must say the 3 big xbox games looked pretty good and still playable even though not as good as xbox one s or x! It's a shame there no longer exclusive to xbox now as PC gamers now have them. Imagine if Sony did that with the likes of their biggest franchises The last of us and uncharted and gran turismo but it would effect sales on ps4 or even on ps5. Sony keeping their PlayStation as gaming console only for now. Just sad Microsoft did this. Forza looked almost like a 360 game and still did well. Halo 4 looked best almost as good as 360 version. Gears looked early 360 game almost at launch. I think only xbox game I'd play on pc would be the orange box as Half life 2 is easily the best first person shooter ever! Cortana should be able to start each game? Surprised Cortana didn't start Halo 4 as she is in the game! I prefer xbox to PC as I just like the consoles. What PC gaming machine would be idea? yeah, I'm a console game player as well. I have an Xbox One S sitting right beside the Lenovo computer and that's what I play with while waiting on my computer to export or render video. But for my needs, the computer is doing great
You had the framerate locked in @ 60 in Fortnite. It literally won't go above 60. Also maybe enable the framerate counter onscreen. Can't really judge it by watching gameplay, can't feel the input lag if you are not the person playing. Adding a framerate counter onscreen it can be enabled in the setting on Forza & Fortnite and most other games. Also @ 19:58 you said you were in full combat with only 2 enemies on screen? I would not call that the most graphic intense part of Gears of War. The Game can get way more graphic intense than that. you were only in minor combat and the framerate tanked. It would be worse if more enemies on the screen. I know where not to watch tech videos @ now. TY for the time waste😂🤣

I find all intel cpus throttle when the get hot. So yes, definitely a bit of throttling.

In regards to gaming i would think that the they should be the same as they use the same graphics card.

I wanted to play way of the hunter on it, it only runs smoothly if i have the graphics to the lowest setting. Minecraft runs pretty good on it

Did the wi-fi remain consistent? Lenovo have notoriously bad wifi cards and my ideapad has really bad dropouts.
Ive had no issues so far with the wifi. And its over a year old now
