I have a 2008 Honda Civic and the procedure to change is slightly different, but this video was very helpful in providing confidence that this was an easy task to perform. The wiper blade replacements are 76622-STK-A02 and 76623-SNA-A12.
Thank you so much, every other video had completely different wiper assemblies. Even this one is a little different as far as taking them off of the car goes. I oil is a lifesaver, was getting so pissed off lmao. I used olive oil cooking spray and just wiped them off really good afterwards
Great video ,very clear and understanding instructions on replacing the windshield wiper rubber inserts on 2007 Honda Civic, couldn’t be better explain & shown . Thank Very much.
Thank You!! This was driving me nuts lol .. I am very mechanically inclined and I was having a 8itch of a time trying to find 28" and 24" blades for my nephew's Civic!
Once again ,thank you for your easy instructions on how to replace the rubber inserts on the 2007 Honda Civic windshield wipers. Just replace the wiper inserts on my Civic, piece of cake ,it was so easy ,just have to be patient when doing it.
My 07 Civic Coupe has the OEM original end caps. Plastic. Not rubber. The one on the outboard end does not pop off and is not intended to be taken off. Don't mess with it. The other end has a little tab that you squeeze and it rolls up about 90 degrees pulling the stop up so end cap pulls off. Now blade refill will slide out. Be sure to put a heavy towel under wiper just in case arm was to get away from you. I took a 1" paint brush in a small jar of water and a big squirt of liquid detergent for lubrication. Push the end cap back on and snap down the latch. Make sure it catches. Sun damage may make them brittle. There only a few dollars. I had to get two. Also the cap over the nut that holds arm on. (Someone borrowed it) Still cheaper then aftermarket junk.
It took me a while to find the little tab inside to remove the wiper assembly. The trick with it is to push the tab toward the blade, not toward the wiper arm.
True. If you push the little tab in it makes it very hard to remove the blade. Pull that little tab up and then you can pull the blade out of the J-hook.
This was a great instructional video but I just found out today that you can't buy just the blades at Advanced Auto or Amazon - unless I'm missing something it's a Honda dealer part at this time (2018).
Amazon: THESE ARE JUST THE RUBBER INSERTS.. Same ones used in video.. PeanutButterMan wow, i couldn't find them through Amazon's search but definitely good to know for other viewers, cost me $50 for the full replacement, ugh
Glad I watched this before installing my wiper blades. Made it a whole lot easier. Have you tried using rubbing alcohol as a lube? It should lubricate well without having to worry about getting any canola oil on the blade portion. Thank you very much for sharing this!
Did you use "Honda" blade replacements, or Goodyear (or some other brand).... I don't know what is best to buy. Your video was very helpful (especially the canola oil!)
I used genuine Honda wiper blade refills.. They were a little more expensive than off-brand but this is my daughter's car and I wanted to be sure they would fit and function properly..
I have been doing this for years, and putting the new inserts in without lubricant was always a chore. Using lubricant makes it so easy that it feels like cheating!
Try not to use any lube, makes it too slippery to finagle the new wiper. Lol, I just left Honda and two dudes couldn’t figure out the wipers. Yeah, I have a 8th gen so they probably haven’t seen one. But it does say that the design is “non intuitive”
Only “how-to” that correctly addresses the replacement wiper insert on 2007 Civic.
1 year later and your video is still helpful. Just changed the wiper blades on my Civic without any problem thanks to your vid. Thanks a million! xoxo
Glad to help.. Thanks for reply..
Thank you! This was so hard ... the wiper assembly is nuts
You are welcome.. Thanks for reply..
Thank you for sharing. $12 as opposed to around $50 to get new wipers while the wiper itself works fine? You saved me a lot of money. Thank you.
You are welcome.. Thanks for reply..

Nope, always used a little cooking spray.. But yeah, I could see the alcohol working and then evaporating quickly..
Thank you for this
This doesn't seem to be the same for 2007 civic coupes
video was a great help, thank you!

Kathy Lemmons oem is always better. 8.99

Identical to my 2006 EX sedan with original factory blades.
Thank you 👍🏾
Glad to have helped..
Thanks, useful.
No disrespect to you, I was referring to the man that designed this dumb contraption
21 people couldn't unhook the wipers
Thanks !!!

Can you please provide any link to buy this ??

Just went outside and measured inserts.
Driver's side - 25.5"
Passenger side - 22.5"
You made this look easy!! It isn't
You said you were going to put the sizes in the comments what happened
didn't say i would put sizes.. said i would put part numbers and they are above.. sizes are below in my reply to Jay Mc's question..
Not the same as my Civic
Great video, but these blades suck
Too much complications. Just get the whole thing
