I'm happy that my friend Mark no longer has to refrain from playing this song American Band as it belongs to the GFR.. ..However Mel & Don screwed Mark out of being a member of Grand Funk ...thus allowing Mark to now play this song at concerts....Just shows Don and Mel ARE NOT NEEDED.....However Mark Can Not Call Himself GRAND FUNK RAILROAD so he lost many concert dates cause the promoters cant promote the name Grand Funk Railroad... MARK FARNER IS GRAND FUNK RAILROAD... PERIOD!
Mark Farner is GFR and is the consummate American Rocker! Shame on Don Brewer and Mel Schachter for their actions and use of the GFR moniker at concerts. All the fans paying to see the current incarnation of GFR without the sound of Mark's voice on his songs are being ripped off!!!
This sounds really good, but what makes it any better than the current GFR line-up? Don & Mel did not screw Mark in any way at all despite what you may read here. Mark Farner left the band in 1998 and he did so entirely of his own free will. If the current GFR is now a covers band then so is this. The drummer copies Don Brewer almost beat for beat. I'd agree with one thing...Mark still sounds great.

The only thing lacking here to make it sound great is Don Brewers voice.
