The Only Band I would Pay $$$$ to See - Mark, Don and Mel play on the same stage. Born in 1957 just too young to know about this Fantastic Trio...

Is it just me or does Mark's band sound better than the current Don and Mel version of GFR out there these days?

It must be a die hard fan thing as I came to this video after viewing The Animal’s live version of this song and reading the comments. Being as I am 75 and grew up when all we had was music, I mean like I grew up just outside of DC and only had 3 tv channels in the 60’s . I liked GFR but to say their live performances was better than The Animals is weird.

Love Mark Farner. I was there with the Grand Funk Railroad way back in the 70's. But sorry to say, like all of us, age has finally won the fight, and he doesn't have the same presence. Go with god Mark.

It's a sound proofing so he can play louder than the other's but it won't overcome everything else. Some use them on the guitar amps.

This was originally a "classic rock trio" song. Adding the organ to this makes them sound like a cheesy garage band.
