Traded my performance edition fiesta st in for this.. it’s so much fun. Bigger and more practical than the fiesta. And due to pandemic had approx 5k equity in my fiesta . So got great deal. I love it. And the colour is great. Just for the new mountune m365 map and extras to go on it to get. Nice video

I got a valuation on my 2019 fiesta st and I’ve got 8k equity after 2 and half years ownership , they are selling for what I paid new now! That being said if I trade it in I have to buy a car that’s also inflated in price so I’m no better off :-(

Really good video Jonny. I was really impressed with the launch control on this thing, they launch looked really quick off the line for a FWD compared to the fiesta, but then again the wheel hop in the fiesta doesn’t do it any favours 😂
Thanks mate! For a FWD car, it does launch pretty well. There is no competing against the AWD competitors though!

Great overview! Maybe a normal MK4 Focus and a Fiesta ST on the side is the best combo. I've driven the MK4 Focus ST on track, standard car, and it did not feel as fun as I thought. I'm not sure the KW suspension gets you more fun here judging by your thoughts it just makes the car more serious and capable 👍
Yup, I’d agree with that. The KW suspension would (weirdly) make it a more comfortable daily. They’re genuinely brilliant at making the car float over bumps. They still get upset at times, but not as much as the standard set up.
As expected this video was well worth waiting for. And a great build up. The azura blue on this ST is so good. Thanks Jonny and now look forward to the mustang mack1 video.

Awesome car but really really wish they did an AWD version, it's the main thing pushing me away from getting one when a lot of cars in the same price range offer it
I honestly don’t think AWD would make this car better. The ‘fun’ factor is already quite hard to access within our speed restrictions. Adding AWD would mean the car would be able to go even faster before it becomes playful. That isn’t what this car needs.

@@JBCTR you're so wrong. Trucks over here are so overpriced and underused it's ridiculous. Status symbols, nothing more. I'm still driving my '13 ST that I bought new, would love to trade it in for one of these...

You can just push the sport button again to return to normal mode👍🏻
I tried that many times over and it kept going from sport to sport 😂
@@JBCTR that is strange. In my Puma ST and also the Fiesta Edition, I am able to switch between Sport and Normal with just pressing the sport button once.
No matter how many times you press sport button, it stays in Sport mode in focus st edition

Sorry, late to the party! Just bought a 4.5 track pack and on this version when you select sport mode with the steering wheel button a second press returns you to normal mode 😁

@@JBCTR that would be fab, given your experience of the e-diff which from what you say is eager and very pre-emptive over a mechanical one.. The Type R uses a more complex front end, I think they call it dual axis with also a mechanical LSD, I'm not technical but it's something to so with changing the geometry of something.. lol.. it basically elements torque steer.. I like the big brother ST.. but STs are suppose to be affordable.. the 3 Ps.. its not..
The same case with my old PE fiesta st much better ride quality with the coilovers 👍
They're cracking!
New Fiesta and focus facelift models are out, with ST versions too. So even though this Edition model is on the market for a few months, its still the outdated model by today. Recaro is also out of the ST brand and now we get Ford Performance seats.
It's just a rather small facelift, only new things are the seats and the new infotainment. Wouldn't call it outdated just because it has a different infotainment system, especially since the old one does everything you need it to do.

Apart from new seats and infotainment, it has a new front and new headlights. Also can you order the vehicle shown in the video? i'm pretty sure you can't, at least not in my country. You can only order the newer one so this one automatically becomes outdated. Obviously its still a great vehicle and i totally agree on the color.
@@stevel3788 can’t factory order it no..was released in September last year. And only 300 for Uk market so not sure any new left. But due to chip shortage if factory order a new facelift there are considerable delays. I was advised 6 months plus by my local ford dealer for a new facelift focus st

I’d still say yes. The KW’s are great for road use. Faster in the corners and more comfortable day to day. What’s not to like 😄
