Man I fell out of hardcore 10 years ago, but I come back for the drum cams. It's crazy how much the level of drumming has improved over the years. I wish I had these influences on my drumming when I was coming up.

The amount of cymbals for variation and just enough drums to nail the essentials. This is definitely one of the best setups I’ve seen for hardcore
Year of the Knife used the same kit in their set that day. Maybe just one set up for the whole day? (saves time between bands) But I agree it's a nice concise kit and this dude is maxing it out.

I used to play a huge kit but I've found after years of drumming live shows I don't want to lug all those drums, a 4 piece set is all I play now and I love it, plus you can position the ride cymbal really close

Yeah I used to have the stick holders that clip onto a cymbal/hihat stand...but never really loved it. Sure seems like an effective little hack, but like I said it had me distracted

Sal, you are killing it. Such speed and precision. Love the breathing you are doing to maintain this vicious pace. And you are certainly getting a workout/ burning a ton of calories. Look at that glasses adjustment in that tiny window of time to do so. I'll just say you are pretty f'ing amazing on the skins and cymbals.
