- This is a video tutorial on how to use quick transfer with the DJI Mini 3 Pro. QuickTransfer is a new feature on the Mini 3 Pro and it allows you to connect your drone directly to your mobile device without the need to power on your controller. This will allow for high-speed transfer of your content up to 25 MBPS directly to your smartphone or tablet including iPhones and iPads and most Android devices. Even if you are flying with the new DJI RC with a built-in screen, you can still download the DJI Fly App to your mobile device to use the Quick-Transfer feature.

Shaun...I've been following you for 2 weeks in preparation for the arrival of the m3p...It arrived yesterday...I tried this method today and had some issues...something about 10bit...and the format the drone was in..would not allow over to my iPhone....BUT...what I am most interested in as how do you transfer/upload your screen recordings? Thanks for all your videos..they are great!!!

Great straight forward video, I just picked up this drone and I'm trying to do this very thing, I have an android/Samsung phone, but i continue to get "connection failed". My phone reads the drone but can't connect, I'm told the drone is "already connected to another mobile device". Confusing, wondering if you had any ideas. Thanks.

any news about the RC+ Mini3 TX with display and if it will work with Air2 and Air2s, as it will be a con if I need to bring numerous transmitters if I don't have to..
The N1 with Mini3 will obviously work with these drones, so I would reckon the other option , also would somewhere down the line, unless DJI is afraid it will cannibalize on their TXpro series but I really doubt it will be totally locked to one quad only like Mini3.

Great video, thank you! But I'm kind of disappointed coming from the Air 1 to the Mini 3! In the Air 1 the videos went directly to my cell phone in Full HD. Now, I either have to use the low res HD files from the RC (with screen) or download the HEAVY 4K files to my cell phone. Isn't there a way of downloading Full HD copies to your cell phone? Wow. Big improvement on transfer speeds from my Mavic Air 2. I always felt that transfer speed was lacking.
what if the drone is on a mountain somewhere - info on how to retrieve the cache files please.
If you transfer this way, are you downloading the hi res files or are they low res?

Not sure about when this video was made, but quick transfer does work with the remote now.
I bought the Mini SE a couple months ago and now I’m thinking the only thing missing is a zoom. I’m really torn between this one and the 2.
My mini 3 Pro was lost over water and sank. It was recording at the time. I can see the video on the RC controller under ALBUM, AIRCRAFT ALBUM.
I can't figure out how to get the video off the RC controller. I've tried removing the mini SD, but the file is not there. Is there some kind of memory on board the controller? If yes, how do you access it?

Hey we found an update for people having issues with quick transferring from the drone to your phone. You need to turn off cellular service and it worked like a charm and very quickly
Indeed yes it does work. Also it works if you’re having trouble with the action 2 It has the same issues when connected to cellular. I thought DJI would’ve had that fixed by now
Still not working for me , keep getting message that drone is connected to another device
but when I turn on the drone just to do the quicktransfer and start to download a bunch of thigs I see that the drone gets overheated and sometimes ever turns off, has a way to do it without the overheat?

I unfortunately I don’t think that is possible it’s easiest just to take the memory card right out and plug it in with an adapter. That would be a great idea though

You could install the android emulator to run it on pc and see if you can connect and transfer. Pc has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi .. it might work

Hey Shaun, I have watched a few of your video's, great and really useful content! I have recently brought the DJI mini 3 and am struggling to get the content onto my phone/tablet. But I can't seem to ge the option to come up on my smart device 'Switch to transfer mode'. Can someone help please?! Thanks a lot.
I don't know if at the time of the video it worked differently but for me, you gotta press the power button on the drone 3 times. It will make a different sound and enter "quick transfer mode". Make sure your device (phone or tablet) is with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on and you are at the DJI Fly app. Only this way the message "switch to quick transfer mode" will appear.
Done does not pop up when opening the DGI fly app. How can I get it to recognize the phone?
Hey mate for some reason my phone will not transfer from my drone, any tips?
I put an SD card into the controller. Is there no way to transfer/send them directly from the controller to my iPhone or my laptop? I tried the Bluetooth transfer but it keeps failing. Also, when I used the USB-C cable to connect the controller directly to my laptop I am getting a notification that says "REMOTE CONTROLLER ALREADY CONNECTED TO COMPUTER VIA USB CABLE" but nothing is coming up at all on my computer. I am not sure why we would us the SD slot on the controller if there is no way to easily transfer the files from the controller to my phone or laptop. I might as well just put the SD card in the Drone and take it out like I normally do then. Let me know if I am missing something. Thanks!

Hey, thanks for the tutorial. In my case when I open the app it doesn't detect the drone automatically like yours. Did you do something the first time you linked the tablet with the drone? It seems like I need the other remote to connect my phone with the mini 3, and I only have the new RC.

@@sralmas I just found out that I need to have the Bluetooth and GPS active on the mobile device for this function to work. And wifi of course.
@@TheFuckingFreire I discovered the root of my issue must be related to the fact that my version of DJI Fly was updated from a prior version. I already had Fly installed for use with my Air 2. When I removed Fly and reinstalled it to use with the Mini 3 Pro, the QuickTransfer feature began working. Very happy camper.

Hi, on my mini 3 to transfer from the drone it doesn't automatically pop up with the switch symbol. I have to push the power button on the drone 3 times every time and then the switch symbol pops up. Is this normal?

Hi Shawn: Enjoy your videos a lot so thank you! I’ve had about 12 DJI drones Thru the years and among them the Mini, Mini 2 & now the Mini 3 Pro. I can’t get the photos/videos to download. When I turn on the Mini 3 & then my iPhone 13 Pro with the DJI Fly app on I won’t see the same opportunity in the lower left of the screen to download the photos. My new Mini 3 is bound to my account and to the RC. Should I have somehow bound the iPhone also? I’ve tried so many different things with no luck. The photos won’t even download to the RC. Thanks again!
No you should not have to bind it to the phone should just automatically recognize it. I think the very first time you do it you have to give it permission. You can try putting your phone into airplane mode just make sure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are still enabled and see if that helps

Maribel: it turned out I had to delete the app and reinstall it and it worked as described
Turn off cellular data on your phone. Then restart the app. It’s a minor issue currently that DJI hasn’t assessed yet.

Any reason why this would work for picture only? I am doing the exact steps that you have shown here but when I select videos to download it doesn’t ask me where it should download. The download bar does appear and then says it has downloaded to mobile device but it then the files are nowhere to be found in my camera roll. Help please 😮

I just got DJI Fly and created an account, however when I try to pair it with my drone, it tells me to press and hold the power button for 2 seconds, which just turns the drone off, and it tells me to restart my drone again. I can't seem to pair the drone.
My android device is asking me to short press the power button on the drone in order to connect......but sometimes I must do this multiple times befor the actual connection is successful.....Any idea of what I'm doing wromg?

Nice! I tried to download the DJI App about a month ago and I found out Google Play removed it. I searched about it and it seems there are security concerns with DJI 🤷🏻. No clue what is going on.

If you’re flying with the android tablet as long as he has the fly app installed then yes you can create a master shot

I don’t have a computer/laptop. If I can’t download videos from this drone directly to my phone, then this drone just lost a lot of its usefulness.
I tried the tricks in your video but I am still hitting the same snag.
Do you have to unfold the drone to do quick transfer? What about removing the gimbal cover? I’m asking because sometime it would be convenient to do it while I put the drone in my bag and have hands free
You don’t have to unfold it but it is a good idea to remove the Gimbal guard
@@AirPhotography thanks I noticed the gimbal does power on and moves, so maybe if it was kept into the guard it would be obstructed and harm the motor. I removed the gimbal guard just in case and kept the arms folded and was able to do the quick transfer without problems.
On the mini 3, do you simply power it on ?
Doesn’t the mini 2 require a long press of the power button to make the WiFi connection ?
That is correct all you have to do is power it on you don’t have to press any other buttons to make the connection

If this isn’t working and driving you NUTS this was my solution: I was not getting the pop up in the bottom left of the Fly App. I tried everything but finally went into my iPhone settings, scrolled down to the DJI fly app and in there enabled Bluetooth. (Pretty sure way back when i installed the app it initially asked me and I said NO to allowing it to find and connect to Bluetooth devices). This immediately fixed it for me.
Since I was a bit hesitant allowing a Chinese company permission to find a connect to devices on my network I guess they found a way to sort of force users to do so if they want to transfers pics to their phones.
I’m trying to get the photos and videos from the Rc to my phone and it won’t work
Ok I’m having issues here. My M3P won’t transfer any video or pictures. I have uninstalled the fly app and reinstalled as before when I tried to download it wouldn’t give me the option on where to download the content. So after reinstalling the app I got the request on where I’d like the content to go and now I no longer get the option. I have not clicked the option to not see the message again. I do get the response of downloading 1 of 1 but no download speeds or % of picture or video complete. My drone is powered on and had 50% battery and I even tried while plugged in for power. Any advice here?

The easiest way honestly, is just to pull the memory card out and put it into a card reader. Or you can plug the drone in empowered on, and it becomes like a drive.

When the drone is powered on, press power button three times. The drone will switch to transfer mode.

Wish it ever worked for me. I switch to QT mode. Join the drone. Preview / view just fine. But download always fails.
