This was prime Top Gear. Not forced humour (like the ones after 2010). Brilliant reviews and humour that naturally comes along with it. Cheap car challenges were so entertaining as well, or testing cars in off road terrain like in this and with the roadsters and muscle cars.
Agree, if I was ever going to watch an episode of top gear I would just pick one from seasons 2-7 as those were the best seasons blending actual car reviews, challenges and natural humour

"the xk8 is very very cramped" I am honestly SHOCKED that Clarkson can even drive it, I'm 6'3 and am not at all comfortable in one. The seats are stupidly high in the car, they don't go back anywhere near far enough, and the only way to fit is to recline the seat to an uncomfortable level and then reach as far forward as possible. In 2019 of course the controls to move the steering wheel don't work properly so this is a hassle every time you get in and out. The seats don't hold you at all, so you just slide about, the steering is completely lifeless, the brakes aren't particularly good, it doesn't make a great noise. The foot box is tiny, my size 12 feet don't fit properly. Great headlights though. Really spot on, they did a good job with those.

Engine size means nothing if the power is dreadful, as is the case with a lot of American cars over the years. The original Viper had 400hp from 8 litres, the 2005 Mustang has about 280hp from 5.7L.

I'm looking at a 650i one. there's actually no M's here for sale. I anyway prefer the v8 over the v10 because it sounds richer and deeper and doesn't have leaking problems as much as as the v10. But are there more issues with the M version? Thanks for looking out btw.

As much as I usually agree with Slow, this BMW is seriously ugly. I know looks are supposed to be a personal issue... But I've never met a person who would like this or the similarly styled Z4, and to me personally it looks as if the main theme here was inbreeding.
Nazimelonhamster does make me laugh how they make the bmw out to be a gentleman's car, my 645i is a beast and once the power button is pressed makes me smile every time.
Its a damn shame that nothing prior to season 10 is on DVD, or blue Ray, and all the digital versions of series 1-9 have all been heavily edited and cut out all the good parts, like the news, and certain car reviews.
Honestly, out of all of these, I'd take the Jag. I LOVE the old XK. Of course, it's helped by the fact that the 996 911 is the most hideous Porsche ever built, and if you wanted what was basically a sporty 5-series from BMW back then, you'd have just bought an M5.

For me, the BMW is too ordinary for my taste. If I was choosing, it would either be the Porsche or the Jaguar. Maybe the Jag because of that V8.

Pendine Sands is where I drove a car for the first time. A 1985 2.0 Mercedes Benz 190E, my dad's car. One of my best memories as a kid.

I'd say it is second only to the second generation of the Jaguar XK but then again that car was released more towards the late 2000's.

I like the XK a lot too, however, they DO rust and the wheel arches are too big for the wheels. It was a design cock-up.
