this is the sheep equivalent of me cutting off 16 inches of thick, dense hair, that actually gave me neck pain, and being super happy with my new pixie cut
Thanks a Million for taking off that 30 Pounds off her body! It melt my heart just to see her jump out of sheer joy!!! It’s joy…joy…joy…to see her feel being loved and cared for after a long long time!! 😍😍😘😘
I wish I could lose 30 lbs in a few hours. I'd be jumping for joy and doing cartwheels. Ellie May's instant relief from all that weight was clear to see. Thanks for taking care of her.
You couldn't be more right To live your life dedicated to animals, Even small things you do for them makes a difference. And it also makes you feel good. Seeing a difference you can make in a animal's life is priceless.
You absolutely should do this. It’s actually the cheapest lifestyle to live in the most fulfilling. You should look at land prices in your area and do something like this instead of paying for for a 30 year mortgage like every other robot.
I love how sweet you guys were with her “hello beautiful” etc…I think the love you were showing her had equal impact as actually getting all those pounds of wool off. Also, she really is a beautiful girl…I love her face! Thanks so much for giving it back to her!!! You guys are awesome!
When I was 18, I was living next to my uncle's farm. He had primarily milk cows but also several horses and 2 sheep. I called them Netty and Betty. And both of them lived in the orchard between our house and the farm. I was pretty often there, lying in the grass with those two, relaxing, eating some apples in the autumm, sometimes running around. I just realized how fairytale like that was.
What great memories you must have. Don't you wish we could go back in time, just for a bit, once in a while. This was such a happy ending story. I'm so glad that sheep is free of all that heavy wool and living such a good life.
Yes I agree. I grew up on farms and always in the country. I have many memories like that too. But it was lots of work too of course. Apples off the ground are generally the best. And the VERY best will, unfortunately, usually have worms in them. That's what a pocket knife is for, lol. Or careful biting off the chunks of apple that the worms were in. Those worms have the best judgment about good farm apples, either on the ground or still on the tree. Always trust the worms! And then cut them out, lol. That's what I learned about apples on the farm. Also as Frank Zappa said in one of his songs, "Always watch where the huskies go, and don't you eat that yellow snow." Well, as I learned early on as a kid, picking up apples. Always watch where the horses go, and don't you eat those chocolate apples. 😂
You sound like my dad before he got sick--thought he couldn't live without meat. Thankfully he's healthy now and he hasn't had meat in 8 months! Anyway have a good one

I appreciate you and them as well as all of the rest of the human helpers.❤️ This helped me get out of a dark place I’m in for a bit. Thank you for sharing this. This and other true stories like it help human and non-human beings in countless way. ❤️ Everyone, please give non-human (and human) loved ones extra love, even the humans you don’t have a close relationship with them. I imagine that it doesn't hurt that you trimmed the fleece down but not all off so she had a chance to just be normal sheep for a bit enjoy the life of having fleas without being cold and still being light also cutting off the area around the ice first and just letting her have a chance to look around I bet you that was great for her mentally
I honestly believe that animals know when you compliment them. It does the same for them as it does for us. Of course Love can cure ANYTHING! Thank you for the rescue! 🤍
I've been watching a lot of sovereign citizen videos lately and this is just what I needed to restore some faith in humanity. Thank you for making me smile this morning.
I used to work on farms as a kid during the summer, "gathering" fleeces after the professional "clippers" from New Zealand sheared the flocks over several days. Used to get covered in all kinds of nasties that were stuck to the fleeces (you can imagine) and then flick the fleece on to a table for rolling up, before being compacted into massive sacks. It was one of few opportunities to earn money as a kid during holidays in the Scottish Highlands. I can't stand the smell of lanolin to this day. Gives me the shivers.
I can't even begin to understand how heavy that wool was, what a poor girl ☹️ so glad there is people like these who actually give a toss about these intelligent animals.
Made me think of the weight/ baggage we all walk around with and we go through life not knowing any better until we get help in removing that weight-- perhaps a heavy analogy for such a fun video but it’s REAL❤
Please forgive an ignorant question... I was wondering if sheep have always been domesticated creatures? Were/are they ever wild, like goats, and therefore never sheared? And is that, like poor Ellie May before rescue, a life of misery for them?
