I know my email and stuff but when I click forgot password it says send to this number and I don't have that anymore then it just sends me to the website for support and they don't help what do I do?

Sucks I created an email years and years ago, now that email is gone. I can't remember my password, and it's driving me crazy. When it comes to passwords and logging in, microsoft sucks. I have had more issues with it then anything else. All the years of work I put into my gamerscore, and the proud achievements I unlocked are basically gone. It's mostly my fault, I use to keep better track.

I know my email and im logged in on my console.
But the reset password code will only send to my old phone number. There is no option to get a email to the account owner (me) instead.
And you cant change the linked number without the password.
Ask the person with the old phone number for the code.

@@Fix.369it does not work. I’m locked out of the account. Microsoft is very bogus with this. Not helpful at all. I called them and spoke to someone. They claim they can’t help in the phone. It’s crazy I’ve been playing on that account for years. I also have free credits to buy premium for some games. I just need someone to let me back in.

I do the same thing you do but they must’ve updated it because texting the number you used to create the account, or even just emailing it just made way too much sense. The only option to recover my password is to fill out a form answering various security questions wich Microsoft will review and I have to wait 24hrs now. I most likely will not be able to sign back in because I didn’t know half the security questions they asked me since I made the account probably 10 years ago. Only reason I want to sign in is cause apparently Xbox network is going to start deleting captures very soon and i wanted to recover mine before it’s too late. If anyone knows a solution please let me know

Thanks, but when I press forgot password I don’t have the same number so I press verify a different way so I type in all this info so that Microsoft can verify that it is me but every time I get an email back and it says that they didn’t find enough information for me to change my password

If you are logged in on your console but can’t remember your password to access your subscriptions or anything. Click the home button go over to your profile go down to add/switch it’ll ask for password then you click forgot password then it’ll send a code to your personal email then it’ll tell you to create new password then it’s done back out of that screen and your golden
