Whether its for his talent as a footballer or whats happened since , theres something in George Best that everyone can love and relate to . Miss you George !!! RIP
George Best. The most NATURAL FOOTBALLER of my age, no one near his ability. No daft tricks, he didn't need them.
Rowdy, spot on mate. George just did the businness, and when he was on form there was no one else like him and no player in the world could stop him by fair means or foul. I have always rated george as the greatest ever. George was a supporters joy. I remember watching him against west ham utd in 1972 but it was in 1996 i think on a video tape of footballs great players, and it showed about 12 minutes of that game and i was a bit suprised when the commentator said "and fans have been queing up since 7am this morning to see this match at upton park becouse of george best" and i had never ever heard that before. Becouse in there last game at old trafford sure george tore west ham to bits with that brilliant hatrick he got to win 4-2. But the game ended 2-2 at upton park and george scored a good goal that day. But at the start of the 1972,73 season i couldnt believe how much george had lost his ability and speed in just 5 or 6 month. It was hard to believe with a player with all that skill and how quickly he had lost it. It happend so quick. A mean 6 month isnt a very long time. But i heard he just about didnt train at all in those months and drank more! But he was still only age 26. It was sad as hell to watch.

George had magic in his feet and to the day he died he was loved by people everywhere. His funeral in Belfast was the biggest ever seen there...and besides everything else he was was a true gentleman.
Ppl like him shows Ireland is a homeland for geniuses.
Greetings from Poland
Thank you your an absolute legend i think I have great potential but there's not enough teams in Ireland and thanks for not saying he's from the UK he wouldve hated if u said that
Thanks Poland. Best wishes from Ireland. Your brother country.!☝️👍👍🇮🇪🇮🇩✋✋
when i was about ten years old we were on holidays in marbella stayin in a hotel right across from the beach. george best was running away from the paparazzi . my mum spotted him and told him to lie down on the sun lounger and she threw a towel over him. he was very grateful and stayed for a few photographs etc. i'll never forget that day.
GREATEST "EVER".!
RIP GEORGE BEST
RESPECTS FROM PITTSBURGH USA.
So unbelievably sad. Alcoholism is still so misunderstood.
Genius and Legend
Mr. Best regardless of his "disease" (alcoholism) he will always be a legend along with his friend, Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy) . R.I.P. to both .
What a genuinely decent honest person George was despite being the best footballer of all timeit never went to his head he always had time for everybodythe Mozart of football
He certainly wasn’t the greatest player of all time .....
He was the Best
Hmm. Someone donated a precious liver & he basically pisses it up against the wall. Unforgivable. Great football talent. He should never have had that transplant but it makes for a better story & publicises organ donation. But only George could ruin it.
Terrific gentleman, never hurt a soul. RIP
@Kanoa Koffee And his son.

I’m not making excuses for him but the surgery he got made him violent if he got drunk. Of course it was his choice to drink. But it wasn’t his nature to be violent.
Paul g, i read some where that some one who knew george said "he thought more about other people than he did for himself, i always found that really strange"
Twist of fate, am sure most people if not every one has hurt some one wither its physicaly or mentaly. Becouse mental abuse can be worse. So come on try and keep it real ffs. How many people have you hurted mate?
And the wives that he beat..
The TV is so prim and proper a total joke especially with the BBC having the nerve to put Jimmy Saville on TV.
LEGEND!
best got the right name without a doubt he was the best.. there never be another player like him..genius george best..xx
Messi does everygame what best did twice a year
Edmund power, total crap, and messi has got it so much easier with no tackling hard or from the back. Plus messi plays against wimps. Put messi in a world cup against the best teams in the world and he just hasnt got what it takes. World cups are so much harder. Exept if your maradona who won it almost himself in an average team. Even pele didnt do that. He had a brilliant team. And messi is past it now to win a world cup, so there you have it.
He really was the best footballer no one will come close, such a shame he turned to drink very sad great man 💕
i am a liverpool through and through but this man played for man u and we all knew we hate each other;;;;; but geoge was the best footballer not in the world ///// but forever i was so lucky to see him play #### rip GEORGE
No question the greatest player with the most natural skill flair and personality today he would be making millions he lived his life during a very different time in recent history and was very much by himself and carried a great deal of pressure every single day . Greatly missed 🙏♥️
George was a natural!!!
R.I.P George Best. Your fight is over but your memory lives on, In your Son, In Ireland and In The Sport Of Football. 🙏
Hello there, how are you doing my friend?
Bestie had an illness that was unrecognised but is every bit as bad as anything you can mention...such a decent human being and proud IRISHMAN....ahhh GOD BLESS GEORDIE BEST FROM A GLASGOW/IRISH CELTIC FAN....
if he would had another kind of life, we could´t call George Best. Good Luck George wherever you are!
It was nice to see the genuine affection Bestie and Parkie had for each other
George should have had his own show..
I think he'd have been a great interviewer
Imagine the characters he'd have on
@thetwoboyos george could have had any football show he wanted and other shows as a host. But the bbc thought he was far to reliant on drinck to keep it up every week. They tried him and rodney marsh in early 1988 for the best and marsh show, but george and marsh werent the hosts they were guests, it was to really see how george would do as it was on every monday for 4 or 5 weeks. And was great, and had alot of viewers. And this was like a trial peroid. But after 5 weeks it just dissappeared, or some one disappeared? As george didnt get alot of work at that timeand he didnt turn up for alot he did get, so the bbc know all that stuff and whats going on with who. And george did speeches in old dumps for a few hundred pound. And even worse. But if he didnt have a problem with drink he would be king of any top football show. And the bbc gave george lots of work over the years. Becouse he had a huge pull on tv viewers. And what a player.
A TRUE footballing legend, imagine if alchohol hadn't taken over his life, R.I.P.
One of the Humblest CHAMPIONS ever. PaRKY says, "the best I ever saw"
George called to see me and my band mates with my then manager one Sunday afternoon - and I wasn’t in !!?? Aargh !! Sorry 😐 George !! Lovey fella. Rxx
LITERALLY, HE WAS A GENIOUS IN A BOTTLE. REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND. YOU WERE AND WILL ALWAYS BE GREAT. LOVE YOU ALWAYS.
Wogan can talk, He was always pissed at eurovision.
Such a cool guy! Magical person!
Brilliant footballer. The best I've ever seen. God bless.
What a legend he realy was! YNWA George!
George Best, The Chelsea crowd miss you.
genius.
Look at footage of George in his pomp. 30 years ahead of his time.
Heartbreaking that he suffered from the most horendous killer disease in the word alcoholism
George Best was the best football player in the world, I really wish I could say this to him "Cousin I really wish I was a great football player like you but I couldn't do you want to know why because you are the best football player in the world and the best one that I have talked to, R.I.P George
How come he didn't join any big teams after leaving United? And how come he was way worse?
Moh Murad
He had achieved almost all you could back then in football by the age of 22, not much else to do then......
Jesterd Mcfinniggins But he said United weren't good enough and he wanted a better team...
No footballer will ever come near him
To play like that on those pitches with that heavy leather ball come on he was the real deal.
George was a very special guy, the least of it was his football skills. TW no comment !
GEORGE BEST RIP
Parkinson & his delinquent son - too cute & so much love - RIP GEORGE
Fabulously kind words from recently departed "Parky". Today, every top football game is filmed and recorded. In Best's playing day's, re: Match of the Day or The Big Match, they chose to film just a few top games per week. Alas, think of all the great Best displays of talent that was only watched live and went unrecorded. Great shame. What we do have is marvelous, though.
george irish legend every body oww imagine if he wasn't a alcoholic he lived it his way and a Irish man with out drink life would be pretty dull I bet he had a really good time
I saw a doc-op by his son, Colum. It was about his father’s alcoholism and it was heartbreaking.
Yes, M Leibs, I, too, watched it and indeed it was heartbreaking. God, was it ever.
I've just watched his story and wow, it rings so true for me as the long term partner of an alcoholic who now has cirrhosis and liver failure. The disappearing on benders for days/weeks, the letting people down and then feeling so bad about it they drink more, stages of sobriety where you get a glimpse of the man you love for a short blissful period etc. It was like my own life. And I just hope and I pray that it's not too late for him. He's only 40 and we have children together. If he were to get a liver transplant I've worried about the possibility that he'd see it as a fresh new organ and drink again and end up like George here. It's so sad, horrible disease.
Hello there, how are you doing my friend?
a legend
People tend to forget that an awful lot of what Best did was not seen on tv.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful footballer - possibly the best ever. Messi Ronaldo, Neymar - they all pale next to George Best
You are so right, just imagine what he could do on today's pitches,,he would be unstoppable.
Thats right. And the fouling too. The attacking nature of the game then also, has been forgotten. No passing back ,across and back again then. Tora,Tora,Tora !
Neymar? Why is he in there? He’s not even close to top 100
As iconic and supremely talented as Maradonna , Pele, both Ronaldos and Messi , RIP Bestie . xxxx
so he was beyond;it just was not possible describe his skill
George Best is really small OMG & really cute
Look at the smirk of satisfaction in Wogans face when George says that he's been beaten up. He was clearly utterly jealous of George.
Joel williams, i was thinking wogan was smirking becouse george didnt tell the truth about wogan and his back room team that supplied best with all that drink to GET him drunk, becouse alot of viewers dont know that they have stand in guests incase something happens and it did happen, they knew george was drunk and still allowed him on when they didnt need to. They set george up, every one knows it. But typical george he refused to tell the truth just to keep the peace and you can see here george jokes about it to cover up the true story and wogan knew he would. Thats why wogan had to ask about it strait away, to get it out the way. But george slipped up big time becouse he was making a joke about it. As in wogan said to him you were ok 3 minutes before you came on? Wich was a lie. Ye cant be ok 1 minute then 3 minutes later end up drunk. So he put george on an awkward spot, to wich he said "terry you would be suprised how MUCH an irish man can drink in 3 minutes, it was a long walk" so 3 minutes to go and they still allowed a drunken george to keep drinking as much as he wanted. So it was a set up from the start. I was only age 17 when i remember watching it on tv at the time, i knew strait away he had been drinking when he walked on stage and shook hands. At first my dad said hes drunck. And i said a know and best tried to act sober and was doing ok he wasnt being daft and was so true when talking about how england did in the world cup 2 month before. And i said to my dad i cant believe the bbc have allowed him to go on like that? Then best said he liked screwing then wogan finished it. Then i notice when omar shereif came on best was still sitting next to him for about 3 minutes as you could see him clearly, then they took him off the set altogether. When the camera was on omar you could see best wasnt there. I didnt think the bbc would sink so low, it was sad as hell to imagine that the bbc did set that up weeks in advance becouse george said in his book the viewing had dropped to next to nothing but when he went on drunck about 14 million had tunend in to watch it. As the bbc were going to axe the show but best safed it for about a year.
True Legend of Belfast
the most correct word is "unique" for him, right?
GEORGE WAS DEF THE BEST AND A GENTLEMAN SO PROUD OF HIM BEING IRISH WE WILL NEVER A FOOTBALLER LIKE HIM AGAIN R I P GEORGE
Greatest natural footballer of all time.Sod the rest.Jim.Liverpool.
the problem was people enjoyed his company so much when he was out drinking that he never became a nuisance and that perpetuated his alcoholism
He will always be Famous!!! XXX ❤
Hello there, how are you doing my friend?
Lived life to the full, simple as, played with his heroes and smashed goals in for his favourite time, all while living the life all men would
The Best.
Tavy@ best was the greatest player in the world between 1966 to 1971. Then in 1972-73 he wasnt half the player he was or any where near it. He was the quickest player to go downhill that i know, and at only 25, 26 he was done! It was really sad, a real tragedy!
What a legend RIP
he was conceited, he was egotistical, he was eccentric and flamboyant, but he was a pioneer in football and a role model for hundreds of thousands of men across the world. He was unfortunate to suffer an illness which causes millions of people a great deal of trouble and heartache and I do not believe for one minute that he ENJOYED being an alcoholic. Why cant people remember him for the footballing genius that he was, and remember his positive characteristics instead of his negative ones? RIP.
barryslaven5581 You're a bad judge of character
wogan must of never had a drink . i know which man i would rather see in heaven
IT'S FUNNY HOW WE JOKE ABOUT ALCOHOL ABUSE AND DON,T JOKE ABOUT HEROIN ABUSE!!!??
You can see he's bloated in almost all his interviews. I remember that well, about 1/2 my life was that way. Happy and sad times, throughout.
I don't follow soccer...but he was great.and very much missed...

It's interesting, some people have been touched by Best's compassion and personality as a person. They're really passionate when they talk about how great a person he was. Interesting, wha?
George was brilliant, and it was, unfortunately, Sir Matt who decided to build the team around Bobby Charlton instead of George that began his descent into booze and depression.
@Zed he loved it so much he retired at 26 and drank himself to death! No ONE loves being an alcoholic you clown
they did the same with all drunks
Wogan's got a fucking cheek. They left trays of booze in his dressing room, specifically so George would get drunk and play up. Wogan wasn't worth the steam from George Best's piss.
Well said Micheal XXX 😘
Hello there, how are you doing my friend?
What's yellow and survived on 12 volts? George Best
RIP Georgie Best...
Love yu Georgie yu handsome man ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is the fourth interview I've seen about great George in one evening.
And I am so FUCKED UP - with the others - the interviewers, and the guests - they ar SO on their BIG HORSES - looking down. WHAT THE F*** HAVE THEY DONE?
And the humble George, answers and answers, clothes himself naked - honest - wow - he was a just not one of the greatest on the field, he was also one of the greatest in situations like these......
Tavy@ best wasnt just the greatest player in the world between 1966 to 1971 he was the greatest entertainer too! better than any tv show. George best was a one off. A miracle. After 1972-73 he had lost his great speed, his dribbling, his extremely high jumping ability to head the ball, his speed of thought. He still had his great control, he could still pass long and short with either foot, he was still brave. But he wasnt half the player he was! And at 25 it was sad! If he played on till he was 36 he wouldv proved he WAS the greatest player ever thats another 10 years on top of what he did, becouse we didnt see the best of him! Every time a see that lob against spurs in 1971 the one big pat jennings trys to punsh clear but it falls to best who takes it on hes chest then lobbs it over big pat and the rest of the defence whos on the goal line and george is at least 16 yards from goal and he clears them all and it drops under the bar exhibiting sublime execution gauged to the very inch! It sends a shiver down ma back when a see it. In 1981 a first saw best do that and had never saw it done before. I was only 8 at the time and a said to my dad who was that there dad? He said thats george best son, with a bit of sadness in hes eyes! Now a know why !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i clark, bestie was the best
Where is the full interview on Wogan, where George says "fuck"?
Magician in they boots WAW, what a player

Poor guy. I find watching him sad

Kicking a ball around a field does not make a genius . This man had an organ transplant then pissed it up the wall again !
Not sure he was a great role model, but great player...
Can you imagine being told your the greatest footballer in the world with loads of money in your back pct and a a string of girls in tow.would you want to go out in the cold windy day with it pouring rain training when you could stay in bed with a miss world or other stunning girl and a pct full of money and the chance of champagne and steak when you fancied it .I would have been dead before him he was the first pop star footballer and all the adulation and fame was too much for him
He did stay in bed with miss world he did have steak, and chips, and he was still better than everybody when he played football.
Ask Pele - a football GOD - who is the best of all time...a good human being too...
wat year was this video he looks ill here
What a ledge

it was to sell a book and its amazing how low the consciousness was back then was.

Hello there, how are you doing my friend?
Looks like we are lucky it happened again but this time there are two
"Ich habe viel von meinem Geld für Alkohol, Weiber und schnelle Autos ausgegeben. Den Rest habe ich einfach verprasst."
„I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars - the rest I just squandered.“
