You know what you should do? Practice failing at it. Intentionally. Go play with the rigging software and make some things that are crazy. Even if you do it once a week, you might check your 2 month project vs your day 1 project and see improvement. And if you were to practice rigging every day, who knows what the progress might be like in 2 months? Or even 1 month. Or 2 weeks. I forget who said this, but there's a saying that goes "Ask yourself where your biggest fear is in your work or goals. You have found your task."
