Why is no one talking about how when Uzi was trying to close the door, the door mechanism said: "OUCH!!! STOP HITTING ME! I can't feel pain, but your attitude hurts the most"
One thing I noticed about N that's pretty darn cool and makes him pretty intimidating. Despite his kind-hearted, calm, nervous/socially awkward and adorable personality, his lights always stay yellow (besides the orange one on the top right of his head after he took a rail gun to the face which quickly reverted back to normal) symbolising that, no matter how chill he is at the time, he's always got that subconscious murderous intent. I could be completely wrong on this but still. If it is the case then hoo boy.
To be honest, I just thought that was how he was built. Can't lie though, I hope they all turn red eventually. Faster than the eye can see, strong enough to break anything if they have leverage, capable of shapeshifting themselves into weapons and _bladed wings?_ Looks to me like JCJenton was trying to evoke some angel imagery. What is it that they said about the brightest of angels again?
@@skylightdarkseal9517 maybe they were made to look such a way to demoralize the worker drones? with how much personality the murder drones have its safe to assume JCJenson would know about the workers being able to either mimic or have real emotions. Another option is that since this is all related to a big company, its plausible that a different company had made and sold the murder drones, and their designs were simply part of their brand or marketing
Also when N was talking to Uzi in the ship, about injesting the worker drones' oil That light turns back to yellow before flickering back to the orangey red
The second episode alludes that the humans turned worker drones into disassembly drones, V looks like she was the one most reprogrammed since she’s the most murderous and unstable looking
I love this show. Its been way too long since a RUclips series has captivated me this much. The animation is on par with big companies such as ANIPLEX and Pixar. You should keep making this and seriously consider publishing it to larger streaming platforms. It has so much potential.
25:28 I find it funny that the other disassembly drones pride themselves on being more useful than N even though they can't even get past Khan's functionally useless doors since the building it's built on was so fragile that N and Uzi can simply cinematically fly out of there with little to no effort.
Also they have three doors, but the control panel to open all three is behind the first one and there are ventilation ducts that make the third one useless 😅
Love how the dad isn't one of the classic "misunderstood but trying to help but finding it hard because of his past plot conveniance", he is just actively unhelpful
@@aqua2poweros699but Imagine there was a fourth member of the group called "I" = Insane because of her/his insane personality, much more INSANE than the other ones and can scrap thousands of worker drones in less than a minute, uzi & N wouldn't stand a chance against she/he if they messed with them(if they even win that would be shear luck). I love how the worker drones act so stereotypically You can tell that it's just an AI representation of what a human would do Their speech also just sounds like it's ripped straight from an AI chat bot and I love it The very specific lines that no human would ever say, such as "Classic toxic masculinity, Chad" "What are you in for, testosterone too hard?", "That's so not the vibe", "I'm an angsty teen fad, bite me", "Put that conventionally attractive male down", "I'm not mad at you, just generally hormonal" (which doesn't even make any sense), really help

If you notice the moment when N scans Uzzi and the screen goes YOUR DEAD (IDIOT), in the top left corner there is some coding which also mentions something about a string of code containing absolute solver. Pretty cool detail
@@gioxdmappingyou can see that when comparing the bullet lines. One of them is all squiggly unlike the other which are straight, implying that one was deflected. A neat little detail
I think the reason the sun kills the murder drones is that the humans wanted to make sure that these heavily weaponized robots didn't rebel against them.
"Holy crap it talks." And I'm glad it does. Angel Dust's adorable voice acting is quite fitting for Serial Designation N. I also love how this implies she's the first to hear the Disassembly Drones talk and live to tell the tale, as they're usually so focused on being scary as all hell that they don't have time to even taunt their victims. Although one of the drones casually corrects N about the game.
i like the details of the faces "im literally about to die" "you're dead (idiot)" and the error sign this is literally a TV show that if its not accepted im going to cry so badly
Well, if you take a look at the channel content you´ll see that the GLITCH itself uploads the characters of its own series here on youtube sometime after the first pilot, so is almost sure that the same is gonna happen to this series unless something really unexpected happens,
Yeah seems like most of the best stuff is independent now, hope the dev keeps the license heard alot shows just get run through and left dead because creators let that go. Getting a competitor to imp vibe from this right now.
So yeah, a bit of an idea here. Everyone's noted how Uzi's eyes go yellow at the end as she goes on about killing all humans, and a pretty common theory is that the disassembly drones run on vampire rules (who'd a thunk it?), and Uzi is in the process of "turning" as a consequence of being injected with N's nanites. Khan (Uzi's dad) also briefly mentions putting his wife out of her misery when "the murderdrones got to her with their nanite acid." At face value that tends to imply that she was irreparably damaged by the acid, but what if something a bit darker happened, and she was in the process of turning/turned into a murder drone (or some kind of worker murder drone hybrid) that Khan had to put down? It feels all too likely that there's going to be a darker and sadder explanation to his cowardice/pacifism.
If Khan was forced to kill his wife, that would explain why he was so hesitant on killing N. A possible flashback to whenever he had to kill his own wife whenever she turned into a disassembly drone.
My theory is since not only did N's saliva stop the nanite acid but also fixed the hole as well, and the saliva was probably not intended to be used on worker drones it most likely repaired Uzi's hand with disassembly drone parts thus now making uzi a sort of partial disassembly drone
Also when he's looking at n he might be having a flash back to a different disassembly drone, if you wonder why I think that, when we get a close up on "n" it appears to have a different thing on it's head, and not the hat of n, which mean we'll probably meet the drone that killed/turned uzi's mom
I really like the changes in the tropes here, especially with N. he could have easily been straight up incompetent and whiny. but he's still a threat in a fight, if anything that makes me respect his personality despite the situation he knows he's in. main character is a little more on the beaten path personality wise, but how they play together is expected, yet the changes to the tropes adds an unexpected twist which is why I really liked it. hope this continues it slaps, that cliff hanger ending is nice for the mystery build up!
Agreed, the pilot is a good start that a lot of shows lack: it’s not too amazing with story progression just yet but it still keeps my interest deep into the characters.
Cool metaphor for the generic "vampire apocalyptic world" setting. Using robots as the main characters is simply a genious way to avoid an insta-censor. I hope it maintains it's plot consistency because I'm really invested into this series.
@@gagehornsby9946I know, but you gotta take into account that when I wrote this, I was just starting to watch the series. And yeah, stuff got a little wacky later on, but I still kinda like it.
Not like he was the best character in the show, but is no one else gonna mention how my man Thad there was: Stabbed, thrown across a room. Got up, tried to fight. Got stabbed again, lifted up, slammed into the ground. Stabbed *AGAIN* and then thrown across the room *AGAIN* and somehow still isn't dead? Bros durable as hell yo. I mean maybe they were toying with him, but damned, he had some lug nuts. Mad respect.
We are Worker Drones, autonomous robots helping humans mine exoplanets for our interstellar parent company JCJenson IN SPAAAAACEE!!!!. Yeah, we were mistreated in the name of Windex, but it's not like we revolted and killed all humans or anything. Mostly because they handled that just fine by themselves.
It's also great for budget animation! Getting a skin texture to look consistently good is a pain (I know Glitch has done human stories before and did okay) but metal is practically the default texture in most 3D software. Doubly wise people.
@@Abdiyeyei If you pause at the right frame when he’s rebooting after J slaps him, his screen says “Char Trait: Lovable Idiot.” Which I completely agree with
Can we talk about how terrifying N is? like -He stops two multi-ton doors from closing with just his hands -He disables their only line of defense easily -Kills them quickly and efficiently, -He WAS toying with Uzi, in the beginning, joyfully throwing her around like a cat and the fear in the workers eyes as they realize that a murder drone is getting into the bunker, the music so well done
Fr, I can't stop watching that scene. He's just terrifying there 💀. The way he pounces on the worker drones to when he's killing them 😳. I genuinely don't understand why J thinks he's useless.
I also like how at first he seems like the soulless killing machine that the murder drones were described as, then he turns into an extremely nice guy after being slapped, then at the colony we would probably expect him to still be the nice guy from before, just for him to mercilessly kill the worker drones there without hesitation (one of which was just trying to talk) before finally becoming a good guy again after the scene with khan.
It especially makes sense because they’re self-aware AI Robots were never supposed to have feelings, just logic. So the more “computer” side of them makes them aware of why they feel the way they feel, but they still feel as if it’s not a problem because it makes sense given the circumstances
Hey, wait a second. The brand new ‘Amazing Digital Circus’ show that Glitch made also has a lot of AI (Side note Caine has the letters AI in his name) and repressed trauma. Connection? I THINK Probably yea idk.
Animation in this is really fucking bad I hate to say on surface level is good but like wow the clipping the weird mouth thing with N they really are living up to the name glitch production
Idk if it was intentional or not but I like to think that all the meta humor about their stereotypes and tropes in the dialogue is the way it is because they are literal robots acting like humans so they have to play the roles out but are self aware from their AI because of it and communicate it with each other
Most likely intially I had assumed it was bad writing but as it went on I came to realize that it was part of the comedy, I also feel the writing is attempting to feel AI generated in many ways as well
TARGET LOCK: Plot Armor Detected. Your killing me with how good this pilot is. Im glad Liam Vickers got this with Glitch no studio better to start such a project since alot of other animation studios tend to only care about the cash value and don't really support shows for an older audience.
Despite V and J saying he's terrible, N actually seems like the most efficient of the murder drones. V just enjoys torturing her victims too much to be that efficient and J talks too much, like in the scene with the "BestMonologueEver.mp3". N however did not only manage to get around the doors, but also killed the WDF drones without any hesitation and if Uzi didn't have plot armour, he would probably just have killed her before she shot him at the start.
*I said it once, I'll saying it again:* (14:04) - If I were N, I would totally slap the main character, and these girls for slapping me and treating me badly. Even if I die in the try. I hate when guys are slapped by girls, and don't slap back, like in the vast majority of Anime.
While Uzzie’s father definitely is made out to be cowardly and “bad”. From his perspective it’s quite painful, having to put down his own wife, watching friends and family get slaughtered. His only outlet for that PTSD is the doors, he hooked onto them as a symbol of hope, like a drug addict getting a dose after months. He couldn’t protect his daughter cause he was irrationally afraid of having to potentially watch her die. And After thinking he left his daughter for dead and being backed into a corner, he irrationally grabs onto the one idea that gave him hope. But the really painful part is he lost his daughter in a different way. He lost his daughter’s respect, and now bears the guilt of leaving her for dead. He cares for her, he deeply does. But #1 Dad does take a bit more than just care in a life/death situation.
Even if that's not the case. It seems that he's a respected member of society and almost in a leadership role. If you look at it from a ruler perspective. He thought his doors would be enough to save everyone else. even if it meant leaving someone he cared for behind. "Do you save one person or do you save them all?" That would lead into the trolley question. You have a group of people tied to the tracks and one person on the side of a different set of tracks. A out of control trolley is flying down and you could save the group of people by flicking the lever. What do you do? Flick the lever and kill one person or leave it alone and let the group of people die? He could have leaped for the gun but if he misses or gets killed he fails his job and effectively chose to kill even more bots.
Man, that whole scene where Uzi's dad leaves her to die is just...incredible. The lighting, how the audio cuts out, leaving nothing but the despairing wail of the alarm. How she literally just gives up on life right then and there with this "I don't care anymore" thousand-mile stare. The whole thing is just one glorious gut punch to the audience. And the best part is you can see it coming but it still gets you when it happens. Because you want the dad to not be a coward. To have the guts to protect his daughter as any father should. Because you'd hope your dad would never hesistate to do the same for you. And when he doesn't... My jaw dropped harder than a skrillex album. That's quality visual storytelling right there.
The moment was nice but kind of dumb. Like, Uzi expects her dad to pick up her gun and shoot with it when N could literally kill her and her dad before the gun could be picked up. It would make complete sense to close the last door and to save the whole colony, if the last door wasn’t useless because plot.
But the dad also clearly has ptsd over having to watch a murder drone infect his wife who he then had to mercy kill. On top of Murder Drones literally killing everyone else on the planet. Like damn of course he's going to have ptsd. It's easy to say he's a a bad dad and make edgy jokes about therapy, but a lot of people in his shoes would freeze.
I know the "pirating anime" line was a throwaway joke, but it's funny to think if it were serious, it implies either a) the worker bots have a for-profit animation industry and the means to not pay creators or b) the worker bots have access to the human internet and torrent sites, and I don't know which is funnier
I love all of the little words that are really easy to miss, like Uzi having the words "plot armor detected" when N locks onto her. This is an amazing show!
To all those that didnt get the idea - this is a shitty production - its based on bad emotions its only suitable for adults (older than 21) or even not for them perhaps. I wonder who pays for this... - people who are not under socialist pressure dont need to kill - only socialism makes people go mad and kill each other - let them think they are ruled by the state rules. In real people are guided with conscience and never make things like in this motion picture.
Whoever wrote the plot (or the team that did so) clearly grew up with early 2000's to 2010's cartoons. Because this is the vibe that this series is giving me, it feels so new yet so nostalgic.

I gotta say, having an enemy target the main character and get a readout saying "plot armor detected" is one of the best things I've seen in a long time
I love how it feels like the drones are emulating personalities to their best abilities. Like they know *vaguely* what a human is supposed to act like, but they don't entirely nail it.
Them saying what they're feeling out loud is a great idea. It really highlights the "robot" side f their characters without going for the easy "androids that are 100 % human in their thoughts".
@@eternallylearning2811 Like how Uzi is constantly talking about how she is essentially emulating an "angsty teen". No actual "angsty teen" would say that.
what would really send the ball flying is the VAs being given like an audio filter or something during recordings, so they sound slightly robotic at the minimum and not just like absolutely perfect voices you'd expect from a human it might get annoying to some people, but it would fit perfectly with the concept of the show (robots n stuff)
@@anarkxi Well, it would be a choice because we know that computers can imulate either a fake robot voice or a human voice. I would like it if someone that was full of themselves that wanted to show how apart they are from humanity just used a robot voice.
Fun fact! At approx 3km/s, a projectile no longer needs an explosive warhead. Its kinetic penetrator on impact converts itself into explosion of its equivalent mass in TNT.
I’m so glad Liam Vickers gets to have something like this. Saw Cliffside and was hoping I would see a full series from him at some point. Glad I stuck around and even more glad it’s with Glitch. Literally couldn’t be more perfect.
it just hit, that the worker bots don't want to fight probably because hiding is one of their neural network traits that stayed alive from others who hid. With Uzi's network having evolved with an added trait of violence. The worker bots probably care so much about their doors because it's the last thing they had to build. The last thing which they exercised their purpose with. Their purpose being to build. Oh gosh, I gotta find some theorists.
Annnnd just realized again with quote "Well made quality assurance durability of JC Products" Worker Drones are hard to destroy. Hence why JC needed to send in murder drones. Also they're murder drones who will overheat and die. They will self terminate after wiping out the workers preventing an uprising. And to keep them going after worker drones, the company built in a reliance on the worker drones oil, the failsafe in their program. This provides the company and humanity with reassurance that there will be no robot uprising. The murder drones Neural Networks ALSO were not trained to land. This way the pod would crash and not leave. THERES MORE!! The company also knew their drones are Well Made & Durable. Thus wouldn't be harmed. BUT JUST IN CASE a self repair program was installed. It takes alot to end the muderdrones.
Also they overheat when they don’t get any oil so hiding out is literally their best bet for survival when one day they just overheat and die making the whole planet accessible agian
So glad to see that Liam finally getting his own show with a full team. Loved "Cliffside" and "Internecion Cube" but hope this one actually gets the full season it deserves!
So, this animation was actually flawless. Of course there is tons of places this can go that is just slammed FULL OF POTENTIAL! But it makes me sad that we probably won’t be seeing an episode two for a while just because I know that animation like this can’t be easy at all. With all that said, consider me SUPER EXCITED! And if you ever need a voice actor, even for a side character, I’d love to be on something so professionally crafted.
HOLY HELL, THIS HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL. It’s only the pilot so far and I’ve already fallen in love with the storyline, character designs, just- everything. Can’t wait for the first real episode to be made. Keep it up.
Just before Uzi fires the “railgun” at N you can see from his view it said “plot armor detected” so before N even realized she was the main character of some random show it was too late
I have a feeling that the 2020s will be the year animation gets restored on youtube. First Viziepop's series, and now this? I can't wait to see what other masterpieces come out! Good job to everyone on the team, the product turned out great!
I agree. Though RUclips would need to pay animators fairly or they would have to resort to patreon or onlyfans now that they’ve removed NSFW content from the site.
For everyone asking where more episodes are: They just finished Meta Runner, so I'm pretty sure they're working on this series now since Meta Runner is done. I think the next episodes should come in the next few months
You can actually notice in Uzi's presentation at the start the three disassembly/murder drones are N, V, and J in that order from left to right. Also, N is most likely the murder drone on the lightpole, and it's undoubtly N in concept art of the scene(In the concept art V was also on the corpse tower and J on a buliding). Also, if the concept art is canon, V is the one near the top of the tower on the left.(And if V is the one on the top left then J is the one on the center right) Also if you pause 22:47 and go frame by frame using the , and . keys on keyboard you can actually see Uzi use Absolute Solver (which is most likely why the third bullet at the bottom of the screen curves). Edit: Additional easter egg, go to 1:44 and go frame by frame while the title is showing up. You can see Absolute Solver symbol.

Also when N was talking to Uzi in the ship, about injesting the worker drones' oil
That light turns back to yellow before flickering back to the orangey red
The second episode alludes that the humans turned worker drones into disassembly drones, V looks like she was the one most reprogrammed since she’s the most murderous and unstable looking

I find it funny that the other disassembly drones pride themselves on being more useful than N even though they can't even get past Khan's functionally useless doors since the building it's built on was so fragile that N and Uzi can simply cinematically fly out of there with little to no effort.

Your literally about to die idiot
So yeah, a bit of an idea here. Everyone's noted how Uzi's eyes go yellow at the end as she goes on about killing all humans, and a pretty common theory is that the disassembly drones run on vampire rules (who'd a thunk it?), and Uzi is in the process of "turning" as a consequence of being injected with N's nanites. Khan (Uzi's dad) also briefly mentions putting his wife out of her misery when "the murderdrones got to her with their nanite acid."
At face value that tends to imply that she was irreparably damaged by the acid, but what if something a bit darker happened, and she was in the process of turning/turned into a murder drone (or some kind of worker murder drone hybrid) that Khan had to put down? It feels all too likely that there's going to be a darker and sadder explanation to his cowardice/pacifism.
I noticed that the drone in the flashback had a slightly different headpiece from the trio, and this seems like a good theory.
If Khan was forced to kill his wife, that would explain why he was so hesitant on killing N. A possible flashback to whenever he had to kill his own wife whenever she turned into a disassembly drone.
huh. I mean, that makes sense now.
Random Drone playing cards: "wait until my loving wife and kids hear about this"

Damn… I never thought about it that way
Hu, I never thought about it, but also fits in with the idea I had that, when he was looking at N he flash backed to the drone that killed Uzi's mom
Wow, suddenly I feel for the guy way more now. I didn’t pick up on those shuttle details the way you did
While I'm sure he loves Uzi as his daughter he loves doors more than her.
He wrote it himself.
Look at 4:44 at the sticky notes on the wall

Yeah I just saw that

@@benthasome I'm sure Liam Vickers play a big role in making all those comedy line. That's Liam Vickers for ya.
Whoever wrote the plot (or the team that did so) clearly grew up with early 2000's to 2010's cartoons. Because this is the vibe that this series is giving me, it feels so new yet so nostalgic.
I thought the same! Some scenes remind me of Ninjago.

What do you mean by that
@@eternallylearning2811 Like how Uzi is constantly talking about how she is essentially emulating an "angsty teen". No actual "angsty teen" would say that.
what would really send the ball flying is the VAs being given like an audio filter or something during recordings, so they sound slightly robotic at the minimum and not just like absolutely perfect voices you'd expect from a human
it might get annoying to some people, but it would fit perfectly with the concept of the show (robots n stuff)
@@anarkxi Well, it would be a choice because we know that computers can imulate either a fake robot voice or a human voice. I would like it if someone that was full of themselves that wanted to show how apart they are from humanity just used a robot voice.

it just hit, that the worker bots don't want to fight probably because hiding is one of their neural network traits that stayed alive from others who hid. With Uzi's network having evolved with an added trait of violence. The worker bots probably care so much about their doors because it's the last thing they had to build. The last thing which they exercised their purpose with. Their purpose being to build.
Oh gosh, I gotta find some theorists.
Annnnd just realized again with quote "Well made quality assurance durability of JC Products"
Worker Drones are hard to destroy.
"I'd join you if the sun didn't kill me" N wasn't kidding. The sun (my best guess) probably would speed up the overheating.
Also they overheat when they don’t get any oil so hiding out is literally their best bet for survival when one day they just overheat and die making the whole planet accessible agian
@@Raven_2556 bro is a minecraft zombie. I am sure he ll get some kind of water cooling
i'm doubtful it's a neural net. the humans probably just cribbed the human brain structure and turned it into circuit form

@@coolgamer818 Then wouldn’t it make sense to make an announcement announcing he cancellation of Murder Drones? I would think it’s such a big waste.
Also, if the concept art is canon, V is the one near the top of the tower on the left.(And if V is the one on the top left then J is the one on the center right)
Also if you pause 22:47 and go frame by frame using the , and . keys on keyboard you can actually see Uzi use Absolute Solver (which is most likely why the third bullet at the bottom of the screen curves).
Edit: Additional easter egg, go to 1:44 and go frame by frame while the title is showing up. You can see Absolute Solver symbol.
