Followed exactly, but after I clicked the com.amazon.tahoe & then play button.. It says "shell is busy another device is accessing shell" Disconnect the device and try again. Then it says Toggle debugging off and I open ADB settings and the debugging is Already on. So what does that mean please? Or am I just running a different OS like you mentioned in the middle? Thank you

Unfortunately Amazon have blocked ADB Commands from being run locally on the device at the moment, so this is not working at present, I am hoping they will remove the block soon.

I downloaded your debloater and it did not work! It keeps saying the shell is busy on another device is accessing I have no other device to make access so what the hell?

Your welcome, some sticks don’t seem to have silk installed by default so it shouldn’t cause any problems not having it.
Hey Chris, very good video mate. I have first gen firecube so I can't remove Amazon Music as it doesn't offer the remove option; do you have any suggestions?
Perhaps try and find Amazon music in the list as per removing Amazon Kids!

Tried to remove Amazon Kids app following steps you laid out and it didnt work. Keep getting error message. Says Shell is Busy Another Device is accessing Shell. I dont have any other device accessing Shell.

Another question for you. Is it possible to remove the fire OS from a fire tv turning it to a smart tv? Mine is OS 6 series and it is so slow and crashes sometimes. I've tried everything I can think of, even factory reset.

What else did you get rid of on your fire stick? I only have 1.69GB of 5.35 available and I only have 3 apps installed that aren’t from the fire stick itself. I want my fire stick to run smoother
At the moment just these two apps, it’s pretty much the norm now to only have this much free. if your firestick isn’t running smooth then a factory reset would be your next option.

Best bet is to get an Android box. I got the X88 pro 13 much more storage and is all Android google based easy to remove any apps you don’t want. Same price as a firestick too. No buffering with my IPTV service like the firestick. Runs great man I promise I have the 4kmax firestick they run fast at first but over time they bog down with updates
@@grantzelenick8200 Wasn’t these X88 pro boxes one of the ones that came out of the factory with sleeper malware preloaded.
@@cwtek1 I haven’t had any issues with mine. This is the newest version I had the previous version as well. The MECOOL is another good option. I had too much buffering with my Firestick and I’m on gig internet hardwired. If you know of any others I would be happy to hear more. I know there are some expensive options but I was trying to keep it in the Firestick price range
I have the New Firestick 4K Max and following your instructions, the Amazon Kids is not listed and I went through the entire list in the Debloat Toolbox. Any suggestions?
This tool pre dates the new 2nd gen 4k sticks I am hoping the developers will update the tool at some point.

It will install on FS 4K Max, but you app comes up blank of Fire OS 8.1.0.6 I see a note that you stated Amazon has blocked ADB Commands which I guess your app uses to get into the root of the Fire OS. Do you have any timeline on getting a workaround? I tried to look stuff up on your website, but it is so cluttered with ads and popups and such that nobody can read it. Hence leaving a comment here.
Failed at the first hurdle that there’s no uninstall option for the music app & I can’t get developer options to come up despite holding the middle button down for an eternity either.
Any ideas as to how to stop it auto playing music when I use the microphone to find a film or series & then getting stuck in that annoying cycle of every time I pause, the music app kicks in & starts playing the music I didn’t want to hear in the first place as it’s found a track with the same name as the show I tried to find 🤦🏼♀️
To get Developer Options you need to push the middle button 7 times, holding the middle button down will not give you developer options.
I am sorry I am not sure about the music app, but if anyone reading this knows the answer please feel free to post the answer.
Removing the Amazon Kids app from the older Firesticks works great, but not at all on the new Firestick 4K Max. OS8 issue? Can this be worked out?🤔

@@cwtek1 ok Thank you , I have installed a flash drive with an OTG cable as well and don’t have any extra apps on the stick. ( been clearing cache too) Still have only 450 mb of space left. Just my VPN and IPTV app. All others that I can offload are offloaded. Anything else I can do to get over a Gig of space? Since I’ve added the flash drive it does seems to be running better though.
@@CowboysstarI had this problem the other day. I had recorded something on my iptv by mistake and it took up 2.5gb of data. I deleted the recording and it was fine after that

Works to where you don't see them but, the storage space is still the same.
See if the storage improves after restarting the firestick!

@@rickk.4277I am looking into a way of removing it, all I am saying is that it was never installed on my 4k max, I need to dig out some of my other sticks and see if Live Shopping is on them and work out a way to remove it.

On which firestick. I have all firesticks from 2 gen to 4k. when you press the home, 3 lines it shows: Move, Move to front and Hide from your Apps. Any other suggestions. Amazon doesn't have uninstall on there unless its hidden like develop options. Amazon loads up and fill firestick even if you are using another app. oops spoke too soon. was able to delete them all thanks a milion

If you don't have an uninstall for Amazon Music then try looking for Amazon music the same as you do Amazon Kids in the video.

Does it actually delete from the system or it just hides??
Bcoz the internal storage still remains same
Try restarting your stick after removing but holding the play/pause button and middle button and see if it now frees up the storage.

Try restarting your fire stick by holding down the middle button on the remote, whilst also holding down a play/pause button until it says your device is restarting let the device restart and then try again.

There is no app icon for Amazon music on my fire stick 4k.
Some sticks just don’t have them for some reason.

Regularly have 10 MB of cache on Amazon kids, don't even use it.
A lot of apps do this.
Don’t have option to uninstall

Try uninstalling it the same way as Amazon kids.

If you go down the list and look at the icons on the left Amazon Video and and amazon Shopping will appear when you get to it.

You might be able to look through the list in the 2nd method (i.e to remove Amazon Kids) and see if you can find Amazon Music!

This is not removing or uninstalling this only hide the app
Which app are you talking about, the Amazon Music app is uninstalled by an Amazon approved method. With the Kids app Try restarting your device after removing the app you should then see the space recovered.

@@grahamlindley6851 That’s strange, check you have the latest updates and if it’s still not there then you might be able to follow the instructions for Amazon kids but try to find Amazon Music in the list instead.

Can you uninstall Amazon Bloatware & Downloader after deleting Amazon kids.
Downloader you can just remove like a normal app, not sure about all the other Amazon bloat!

You could try using the second method shown in the video and see if you can find anything that relates to Apple Music and tick the boxes to remove it.
Did you find out how to get rid of other apps like Freezee and Amazon Photos, etc?

Photos can be removed from the manage apps list built into the firestick on some sticks.
Just hides them from the menu 🙄
Amazon music uninstalls using a standard method of uninstalling apps.
You do know the difference between hiding and removing don't you!?

I think you need to reset your stick back to factory settings!
@@cwtek1 actually I ended up unplugging it for a night and somehow everything came back.
It only worked to uninstall Amazon Music, not for uninstalling Amazon Kids.
don't have anything in the deep bloat list with the word Tahoe in it.
This might be if you have a newer stick running os 8, this doesn’t work with these sticks.
This just hides the application, it's still taking up space in memory.😒
