I can relate 1000% with you on feeling like focusing on my nails helps me feel like I have control over something in life and feel more put together even if inside I don't feel like that. Keep your head up and thank you for being real and doing beautiful nails.
I've been using the concealer pink base to camouflage the natural nail just a bit for enapsulated sets. I also like how there's no obvious clear layer underneath when I'm building a nail with one of the concealer colors. More than once I've accidentally filed through a bit and you can see that clear, I really dislike that. The concealer bases completely fix that

Thank you for your videos. Your explanations are so clear. I suppose I do put too much pressure when applying the tip. Which bit would you advise for " under the nail" ?
If you aren't applying too much pressure then under the nail should be fine. You can always turn the nail over and brush the gel where you want it or use our under the nail bit to clean up after curing it.
Ok, I’ve always been so scared to try this and I know it’s been a while but I finally got the nerve to do this. I absolutely love these. I can’t decide if I like these or the fiber gel with keratin.
Okay now I see what I did wrong. In twitch I said I did a hot mess trying to do this. I just seen how much gel you put on the nail. I was putting way too much so it was all over thnks finally I been waiting for this to upload since the Habib twitch nail
Hard working hands Tracey!! Omg! I need to buy the nails and the gels because I do my own and I get so disgusted with my shaping. This is a fantastic video!! Thank you, Tracey!!
If you are wanting to apply acrylic over a hard gel enhancement, we do not recommend this. Hard gel is non porous and acrylic has a harder time adhering to the non porous surface. If you are applying the acrylic over the plastic tip that was applied to the nail with a soft gel product, the acrylic will adhere best if the shiny surface of the tip is removed and Protein Bond is applied.

One more question...I bought your trial gel kit. I have some full cover tips of yours already. Can I do this process with the clear builder and encapsulate mylar into it while still using the full cover tip to help get the shape like she did in the video?

So I don’t know if this will get answered. But it’s worth a shot. I’m in a bit of a bind so I was only able to afford the acrylic system from YN which I absolutely LOVE! And I plan on getting every one of YN’s products as fast as possible. But that being said I don’t have YN’s builder gel/ hard gel. I’m just starting out so i have a ton to learn. Anyways can you use builder gel for this? I don’t think I have the hard builder gel. I won’t say the brand that I currently have. (I bought it before I found YN’s🤦🏻♀️) it’s also in a bottle, almost like a gel polish bottle but it’s super thick and moves around like builder gel. I think that’s what it says it is. I bought it to encapsulate before I started acrylic. (Before I did heavy research) Anyways my question is, can I use that to do this method? Like I said I do plan on getting the same thing she used but until I’m able to I would definitely like to try it out now so I don’t waste my favorite brand “YN’s” on my first couple test runs. Sorry this is so long! But I also want to say how much I love this brand, and all of you guys for helping us all out and having amazing products! It would be a dream to be at least half as good as any of you one day! Again thank you!!!
Unfortunately, we can't speak on other brands as we don't test them. You could definitely give it a try and see if it works, but we have only tested this with our hard gel products and even then it's our hard gels that have a thicker consistency so they don't run.

You can use the Fiber Gel as a base to attach full coverage tips, just make sure to remove the shine from the well of the tip so it won't pop off. You can also use a small pearl of acrylic to attach the full coverage tips.
We haven't tested this service yet, but we would recommend using the clear tips instead. Since the nude & pink tips are pre-etched, this won't give the perfect smooth finish and the gel may adhere too well and not pop off. Also, if you were to use an opaque gel, it may not fully cure all the way through.
Can I use clear base& clear builder (or flex )? and then add glitter or mylar into the gel in the full coverage tip before placing on the natural nail?
Yes, just make sure you remove the shine from the surface of the tip & any colors you use must have enough transparency for the gel to cure all the way through.
Before you cure the nail, you can use a brush underneath and smooth out the surface, but if you have challenges doing that, you can sculpt out the free edge on a form and then overlay with the pop off technique. Here's a video to show you how. ruclips.net/video/r2NBjm_meB4/видео.html
I love Tracey’s videos. She is unapologetically her true self… It takes me 2 days to form both hands (because I’m so SLOOOOW on my non-dominant hand and get frustrated and bored) it’s been awhile since I’ve tried this technique but I’m going to try it the next time I have to my own nails.
I am wondering, if you wanted to use those nail covers as nail covers, would they just pop off on their own? I ask because the way you popped it off with the clippers was effortless.
If you are using our full cover tips by themselves on the natural nails, you can adhere them with the glue they come with or with our ManiQ in the tub. Both last for weeks.
If you want to keep them on you can etch the inside of the full cover tip with your arbor band first to make the gel adhere. This is a method that is becoming more popular, as you can find full cover tips made of hard gel with a high enough apex to create strength. Lmk if you want more info, I can direct you to some links!
I'm a tad scared that you guys are reading my mind! I was just looking last night on your page to see if you guys had posted a video using this technique.
Love watching all YN videos! You are always so shaking, I would never be able to do anywhere near as good as you if I was that shaky. You still kill it!
You can use our under the nail bit to remove some of the bulk/make more of your c-curve look. www.youngnails.com/products/under-the-nail-cleaner-carbide-3-32
You would have to add all of your “dimension” layers as one before you cure it onto the nail. If you do layers & cure after each layer, & then try to apply the last layer & apply to the nail, the nail can get too thick & not the proper structure.
Yes, they are strong and will last as long as if you built the extension straight onto your nails with normal forms. You can also fill them once you need to.
When I place my gel brush down and do something else (eg use a different brush for white for French etc) and then come back to that brush, the gel that's in it is cured just from the desk light. I noticed that you put your brush down to then use the tube, and have no problems with cured gel in the brush just from the desk light. It's driving me nuts - I have to put the brush away in a cupboard for it not to cure (I wipe most of the gel out of the brush before I place it down on my desk - but still it seems to cure in there). Any tips? PS I absolutely love watching you. x
Unfortunately if your desk lamp is putting out a specific UV/LED spectrum light, it can cure the brush. You may have to get a different light, but also make sure you aren't sitting anywhere that sunlight could be hitting your brush. This can cure the gel as well.
You can or you can also use it for a quick glitter press like this since the hard gel acts as a base. If on the natural nails I would still use the conversion base.
I know you have season new nail files before using then so you don't cut yourself on the edges, but do you have to do the same for the tip of the arbor band?
No, they are not super thick. Once you pop the tip off, you can use your e-file to thin them out more if you would like or you can apply the dip over straight after you take it off. If you go the second route, it's possible that it will bulk it up so just make sure you aren't apply the dip too thick.
Gel doesn't stick to a shiny surface so once it's cured, it pops off. Acrylic is different and will stick to the shiny surface, so the tip will not release if you try building extension this way. You can, however, use acrylic to apply a full coverage tip to the nail rather than using glue.
@@youngnailsinc when doing it this way with acrylic it makes the surface under the full nail tip super smooth and shiny, just like gel making it pop off.
I sometimes find my stilettos turn out different, what l find helps is when using forms always make sure l pinch the nail form at the point l want my tip, even cutting off the extra bit so it doesn't turn into a narrow coffin shape. Using stiletto tips can help but some point upwards when l prefer straight sides.
To leave space for the gel. If you were just gluing the tip on, the glue is very thin and the “correct” size will adhere with no gaps. When using gel to adhere it, you need the larger size so you can use enough gel to build the thickness of the nail. If you use the smaller size, you will end up with a gap on the sides or if you press the nail on, you won't have enough thickness of the product.
“I want to pretend, and how do I do that? Through my nails”….. I felt that!!! Thank you for being so real and taking us along for the ride. ♥️♥️♥️

You can or you can also use it for a quick glitter press like this since the hard gel acts as a base. If on the natural nails I would still use the conversion base.
What do you do if someone touches smtn while the bond is on?
Do you alcohol wipe it and the lint off and reapply? Ty
You would use Swipe to cleanse the nail and re-apply Protein Bond.
How u do gel polish could you show a video on all the steps thank you I have learned a lot from y’all

Very pretty 😍 did you top coat those or leave them raw? If you didn't top coat, do they have a grainy texture or are they smooth? Thanks
Tracey waS using the sugaring technique so there is no top coat or else you lose the effect.
I know you have season new nail files before using then so you don't cut yourself on the edges, but do you have to do the same for the tip of the arbor band?
Yes, I would recommend dulling the edges of the sanding band on a file.
When you apply the slick pour do you go back in with a top coat over that?
Not with this technique. If you top coat you lose the sugaring effect.
What can I use if I don’t have the gel in the pot for the base coat?
Never mind, I have base!!
Are they super thick using this method? I'm looking to do dip powder over them
No, they are not super thick. Once you pop the tip off, you can use your e-file to thin them out more if you would like or you can apply the dip over straight after you take it off.
If you go the second route, it's possible that it will bulk it up so just make sure you aren't apply the dip too thick.
@@youngnailsinc thank you!!
It may be silly question, but the tip that you use is just a regular full tip? Or it is a special one for acrygel?
It's a full cover tip, nothing special about it. Also, we are using our Synergy gel, which is a true hard gel and not acrygel.
Oh awesome! Thank you very much for the response. I will definitely try this
💜💜💜 your hoodie 😍
👌👌👌👍
Can I use the same quick tip you used with gel and pop the tip off but using acrylic?
Yes you can use anything. I have always done it with acrylic.
So... is this the most relatable intro ever?

So pretty!
Can you do a video on how to file nails to stiletto shape? I find this the hardest shape to file and look right.
ruclips.net/video/23mf2egGiz0/видео.html
I sometimes find my stilettos turn out different, what l find helps is when using forms always make sure l pinch the nail form at the point l want my tip, even cutting off the extra bit so it doesn't turn into a narrow coffin shape. Using stiletto tips can help but some point upwards when l prefer straight sides.
😍😍😍😍 love it.
❤️
You are doing the laze girl method
❤️
So why do you use a slightly bigger tip?
To leave space for the gel. If you were just gluing the tip on, the glue is very thin and the “correct” size will adhere with no gaps. When using gel to adhere it, you need the larger size so you can use enough gel to build the thickness of the nail. If you use the smaller size, you will end up with a gap on the sides or if you press the nail on, you won't have enough thickness of the product.

I tried this gel ran everywhere immediately lol I was soooo disappointed. I just run too warm 😢
