    I do love the fiber gel and I use 101 white and sheer pink 102 for a French. Looks amazing! Clients are coming back with no issues. I would love to see the fiber gel in a pot because I hate the bottle. I use a gel brush and a detailer works great.

    I have watched this video at least 2 or 3 times. I purchased the necessary products online. when they arrived, I immediately got to work with removing the top layers of my hard gel manicure; it was time to go in for a fill, and I thought I would try it out at home, on my own. I love how the hard gel manicure can last for so long, but I don't like the thickness of the nails. It always feels bulky, even though, my nails look incredible. Anyways, It did take me a little bit of time, about an hour after my prep work, but for the first time doing this myself, I have to say, that I am beyond impressed with how easy this is to do, the instructions are beyond clear and the tutorial videos posted are amazing! I will definitely be doing my own nails moving forward and look forward to more great content from Young Nails! Not only will this save me money, but I actually enjoy doing my own fingernails; now the salon will be for pedicures only. :-) I love the energy you all bring to the videos, too. I feel like I am hanging out with my friends when I'm watching them & I learn a lot, so THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO! And keep it up!

    I recently removed a set of long acrylic nails because I wanted to give my natural nails a break but I still wanted them to have strength because because I knew they would be a little weak. I work with my hands, so I need to have that added protection.. I am by no means a professional nail Tech kit's a professional nail Tech, however my mother is a retired nail Tech of almost 30 years , So I do have a bit of knowledge.. I decided to try gel on my natural nails and I absolutely love it. It's quick and easy to work with and I especially like using a colored gel . Something natural looking such as a nude or nude or a light nude is a light nude pink . I like that you don't have to do too much filing and and they look natural and fantastic.

    I have a quick question? how often should I change out my 150 grit hand files if I'm just using them on myself? or even on clients? I'm new to this. thank you. Also like you say in the video, if you're doing these on your natural nail would it still have the same benefits if you apply some color to them? like apply some maniQ color polish over a base coat of this keratin fiber gel?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  2 месяца назад +1

      If you are working on clients, most state boards require you to dispose of your files after each client as they are not sanitize-able or disinfect-able. If you are working on yourself, you may get 1-2 uses out of it, but they do wear out and you should replace as needed when it doesn't feel like it's filing efficiently.
      Using the Fiber Gel as a base coat under gel polish is a great option to give the nail more durability than just a standard gel manicure.

  • @tuhanaeshelman61
    @tuhanaeshelman61 Год назад

    The sanding band that you are using is a 150 grit zebra band correct??? Do you find you use that grit for almost everything or is there another grit you like? With ManiQ would you use a full cover tip for soft gel or just a full cover tip that can be used with all products?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Год назад

      The sanding band is a 150 grit which is a good medium that can be used for most techniques. It's the right grit for prepping as well as smoothing the surface of an enhancement. We do not recommend using the sanding bands (of any grit) to remove bulk with acrylic or hard gel. For this, we would recommend using the Safety Bit Coarse or the X-cut. The sanding band would have more tendency to build up heat and will take more work to remove the product.
      ManiQ should adhere to any tip as long as you properly remove the shine with a 150 file or medium arbor band.

    I remember when I would watch videos and I would see a lot of woman would be quite nasty with her and it’s wrong as them people were probably only that way with her because she’s really good at doing nails. She’s also straight to the point and I think habib (I hope I’ve spelt his name right) has a soft spot for her and maybe at the start relied on her expertise n experience in the nail world. He now has a bigger business so has more workers, but he’s kept her by his side in the work place and made sure he shows he hasn’t forgot her hard work and on going hard work.

    When you are right handed and working with your left hand (on yourself) do you put it in reverse even if you own right handed drill bits? Sorry, I’m new lol

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  2 года назад +2

      if you are right handed and you are e-filing your right hand using your left, you switch to reverse depending on which way your right hand is facing. If that makes sense. If you have your fingers bent downward into your palm like almost making a fist, you use reverse. If you work on your right hand while it is flat facing away from you keep it in forward.
      Bits that specify right or left handed will only work in one direction because of the way the grooves are made on the bit. If it doesn't specify, like out coarse safety bit, you can use it in forward or reverse.

      @youngnailsinc  2 года назад +1

      It is a soft gel, so it is designed to be more flexible than a hard gel or acrylic. However, if it is feeling "rubbery," it could be that it is not being cured fully. If your lamp is old or you are curing less than 60 seconds, it may not be getting fully cured. Also, make sure you are prepping properly (push back cuticles, remove shine with 150 grit file/arbor band, cleanse with Swipe and apply Protein Bond).

    Is fiber gel stronger then gel? And does it last longer ?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Год назад

      Fiber Gel is a soft gel so it is designed to be used more on natural nails rather than an enhancement. It has more flexibility than a hard gel, so it will bend and move more with a natural nail. It also has synthetic micro fibers within the gel to give it that durability and flexibility on the natural nail. We do not recommend using it to sculpt long extensions as you would with a hard gel. Hard gels have more strength and durability for length. Either Fiber Gel or Synergy hard gel should be filled/rebalanced every 2-3 weeks for the best wear.

    Would this product be helpful for nails damaged by an over zealous nail tech and her efile? My nails are literally paper thin and painful from the damage but finally starting to grow out slowly (usually they grow like crazy). I'm keeping them as short as possible, trimming the free edge regularly. I've been using Gelish Vitagel Recovery to try to give them some protection but it doesn't stay on unless I use a base coat which defeats the purpose of the Vitagel Recovery (if you believe what the bottle says 🙄) - - it will literally pop off the nail like a cheap press on nail despite proper prep including using your protein bond (essentially the Vitagel is useless, IMHO). I want to protect my nails from tearing as the damaged portion grows out.

      Fiber Gel is a great product to use on damaged/over filed nails. It doesn't need a separate base coat or top coat (but if you prefer a high shine top, ManiQ Top Coat works great). The fibers in the gel give added durability and flexibility to support a thin/damaged nail. As the nail grows out, you can lightly prep/remove shine from the surface and fill/apply another layer without having to completely remove all of the product. When you do decide to remove the product, it can be filed off or soaked off.

    So if you use a thin coat of fiber gel over a natural nail what top coat can you use that won’t crack?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Год назад

      You would need to use on of the soft gel top coats, ManiQ or conversion.

      @@Dama8D Yes you can, it should work but maybe make the fibr gel a bit thicker.

    So, I've been using base before fiber gel. Is it not necessary to base before fiber?

    Is protein bond the same as using primer and dehydrator???

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  2 года назад

      No. Protein bond is a non acid primer.. it doesn’t chemically etch the nail like a traditional primer does. Protein stays sticky.. sticks to the natural nail and then sticks the product.
      Swipe is our dehydrator/cleanser.

    Can you use hard gel on top?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Год назад

      The fiber gel is an added protective layer, it doesn’t physically strengthen nails. Acrylic and hard gel do the same thing, so there is no need to do both.
