    “How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
    Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
    Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
    Welcome to the Young Nails family!

Times are really hard right now and I have found myself wrapped in practicing nail techniques. I almost gave up due to not being able to find a monomer that didn't make me sick to my stomach, but then I thought about using gel! I haven't been able to purchase your product yet, but I figured I'd learn with using the cheap gel first! Thank you so much for your time and talent! GOD BLESS YOU 🙏 ❤

    Probably a stupid question, but what's the difference between hard gel and soft gel?

    • @katrinasheets2997
      @katrinasheets2997 4 года назад +3

      Hard gel is something you can use to create a nail, think of it like acrylic. Soft gel is something like gel polish. While it adds strength to your natural nails, you can't create a nail out of it. Hope this helps!

    • @lilymohsye
      @lilymohsye 4 года назад +5

      Hard gel must be filed off, it cannot be soaked off.
      Soft gel can be soaked off.
      Either type can be used to overlay the nail and/or create extensions.

      What is the difference between polygel and hard gel? Ty

    • @aerongrimm3162
      @aerongrimm3162 3 года назад +1

      @@cmayo5659 (very late reply but I hope this helps!) I'm not SUPER clear on the specifics of the chemical make-up of polygel, but from what I understand from working with hard gel, polygel, and acrylic, polygel is basically just a MUCH, MUCH thicker hard gel. It is still a gel, but because of just how thick it is it can be easier to work with than hard gel for beginners. Personally, I think polygel is awesome for people doing their nails at home; I used Makartt which is excellent in price and quality. But idk why you'd use it as a pro other than pure preference

    Question if you see this! How do you find doing sets both gel & acrylic on the practice hand? Does it react differently to a human nail plate human nails have warmth? I want to practice on my practice hand but worried about when I do real people, is the product going to behave differently? Thanks!

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  2 года назад +1

      Two main differences when using the practice hand will be that acrylic won't set up quite as fast because it won't have the warmth that a real person does. Also we don't recommend applying tips on the practice hand for the same reason. They don't adhere as well without body heat. But the practice hand is still a great tool to help work on repetition & perfecting your sculpting.

    How do u know you have covered the nail with enough consealer pink ? I’m working on my practice hand and it feels like I’m not covering the nail enough but it’s not as noticeable until after it’s been cured so I can’t then add more ….or can I ?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Год назад +1

      You want to make sure you have enough product to build structure throughout the nail, keeping it slightly thicker at the arch/apex and flowing down to the cuticle, sides and free edge. If you've cured the nail and feel like you need to add product, you can always add more if you haven't wiped off the tacky surface. If you have wiped the surface, you would need to file the nail so there's a textured (not smooth/shiny) surface, cleanse the nail, apply Protein Bond and then you can add more product.

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  4 месяца назад +1

      With every chemical reaction, there is a small amount of heat. The more product you apply, the more heat you may feel. You could try applying your product in thinner layers or with our lamp, you can use the "Low Heat Mode" to cure the gel slower to avoid that "heat spike."

    These instructional videos are what sold me on your company. Just purchased the brush and trial gel kit, if I am successful with it I plan on purchasing more for my nails. Thank you for making your products available to the general public. I really appreciate the videos.

    Question: when using a new arbor band do you season it like a new nail file?

    • @katielunn6394
      @katielunn6394 4 года назад +1

      Always! So that it's not sharp, so it doesn't cut your client or yourself. I imagine that he just kinda skipped over that part because a) ya know, he's working on a fake hand, b) he was like kinda in the middle of teaching us [the camera] when he changed out the arbor band, but I thought the same thing too, like 'wait; why aren't you seasoning that?!', but yeah, you're right, you will ALWAYS season a new file, arbor band, certain bits, etc. Greg, Tracey, and Melissa have all made a point to plant it in our head to season and keep our clients and self safe, especially because Tracey said that a lot of people are afraid of electric files because they've been cut

    This product seems to be great I haven't e nails for over 15 yrs but have kept up my license hoping one day to once again be able to something I loved doing for 15 ys before I got injured in a job I took for insurance purposes, I had a child, so I often use to come home at 1:15 PM and start doing nails until 8PM. I have missed out on all the new stuff, gels, acrylic colors but I only live on my disability check of less than $800.00, paying Bill's and insurance plus cell phones. I hope to buy one color at a time in acrylic n then work on your gels. Great work, the comments are pretty great.

    I don't understand the 'pillow ' with the base. Why do you do a pillow of the base rather than make it smooth? I'm learning even fter learning from school so I'm just curious. It doesn't make sense as.i see that as an extra little thickness of gel. Please explain. I love your videos I just don't get an extra cushion there

I wished our young men who are super artistic could feel courage to enter the world of nail technician. You are an inspiring model. If you plan to come to NY and want to do some good face time please be in touch.

    Can you explain how/why California says we can't work out of the pot (of gel) but yet we can use gel polish or lacquer polish in a bottle? Gel polosh doesn't hold or grow bacteria and neither does builder gel in a pot.
