When Luke Jackson announced he would seek a trade from Melbourne back to his home state of WA, it sent shockwaves through the list management departments of Fremantle and West Coast - the once in a generation chance to capture a footballing unicorn was in their grasp. At 199cm, Jackson is just as capable of pulling down pack marks on the wing as he is sidestepping an opponent and snapping at goal.
Ultimately it was the Dockers who prevailed, so what exactly does Luke Jackson bring to Fremantle and will he be able to heave the young dockers into AFL premiership contention?

I wish him all the best and I hope he does well. As an immature player and, tbh, a bit of a space cadet, he might have revealed for half of last year that he struggles to keep his on-field performance seperate from his off-field complexities. His performance was way down in the second half of the year for the Demons. He’ll probably get that sorted in the next few years though with some good sports psychologists.

Id be really interested to see how teams were impacted statistically from the stand rule, 3 years on (end of this season) especially for my team the tiges. It feels like we lost a lot of our perceived pressure game by not being able to move around on the mark and reduce the run on capabilities that the stand rule gives from marks. It also felt like it helped Geelong a lot as it allowed them to use their direct style a bit more than what they originally could pre 2021 (not that they weren't a top team already, just an observation)

Nice one guys, super keen to see how Freo go this year with this addition. Would be keen to see if you guys could go into depth on the last 5 years of WA's teams, especially if Freo make some noise this year. The changes in both sides both from what their teams look like to the hopes of their premiership goals I think would make for a pretty good analysis! Good work again!

I think a holistic view of Geelong's past few decades will come at some stage, but it's a big project and the story may not even be done yet!

man, Freo was the wrong place for Dogga. should have gone to West Coast, would have made so much more sense - finish your apprenticeship under NicNat and then take the No.1 ruck role from him next year.
