great for people that stay in a lot of hotels

True
Whole room glows up like a planetarium.

UV lamps are very useful when camping in the desert to search for Scorpions in your campsite or tent, shoes, ect.
I've got one of these, for aircraft mechanics they are invaluable for checking several areas for leaks and on occasion fluid levels
Thank you
i am looking for the light for the liquimoly molygen oil for cars it came with a small uv 1 led to find leaks but you really need a larger unit.
If you're camping in the desert these come in handy for checking tents, sleeping bags, etc.
Thank you for the information
I live in Arizona and my brother-in-law uses black lights to find scorpions in their back yard and kill them. They have had them in their home a few times so he started hunting them for a while. I got the Harbor Freight black light and I have only used it once to look for scorpions in the house. I have been stung one time in the past and I saw one in the house one time without using the black light. I did not see it until I stepped on it with my steel toe boots by accident and I thought I killed it, but after a few minutes it started moving and then walked away. That is when I bought the light, but I have not seen any again since. I don't really want to find scorpions, because they freak me out, so I stopped using the black light to find them haha. Great review. I did not know about some of the information you gave and I found it very interesting.
Thank you and I didn't realize these were so common for finding scorpions although I suppose if the scorpions glow then it makes it a lot easier
Don't really care nun I could do anyway lol but u do know thats illegal right? I've seen a guy hunt iguanas where they are not native and still got in some crap by wildlife
The backlight only helps you to find them when it comes to the Scorpions not to identify it's pretty nuts when you turn on the backlight outside and you find scorpions in the dark
Whats the most powerful UV Blacklight flashlight that you would recommend on Amazon?
I don't recommend any on Amazon this was a Harbor Freight unit that seemed pretty decent for the price
Just bought 2 of these from Harbor freight they are a damn nice value and bright for the price.
also works great for curing uv activated glues
Good point
It also works on uv 3d Printing curing
I appreciate the time you put into your videos, You have the most informative reviews out there just about! But I was thinking a live scorpion would have made this the best one yet hahaha
That sounds dangerous
good job
1:29 in and already can tell wonderful review. Thank you
I didn't think it was gonna fit but I use an 18650 in this light. Honestly tho it's not much brighter than the 3 aaa just last longer and rechargeable. I think the fact that it's uv is why it don't get much brighter because the standard lights like these get much brighter
This is actually a pretty bright UV flashlight but your eyes cannot see UV very well
What is the nm ? 385 ?
Thanks great video and I like black lights
Thanks for the comment and black lights actually don't shine Blackness on to things I don't know why they're called Black
Antique detection is for uranium glass and depression glass, and for pet stains, they say that cat piss is glowing in UV light
I own one of these and it works great.
Yes
how is it holding up?
Does it work for shoes?
Can you make rocks glow with these?
I just bought one for finding corundum, my raw rubies do light up quite well with it!
I intend to use this to cure UV activated adhesive for attaching a bubble magnifier on a day window on a watch. So there!!
Did it work?
@@heidiharder6944 Yup.
What happens if you point this light on your skin?
How can i get it my baby vine are very hard to get we are at the hospital now
Do you know if the UV light output of the HF light will cure the resin in windshield chip repair kits?
And very well could it's a pretty bright UV light and the lights they use to cure UV resin are not very powerful but you would want to test first
Is this good for uranium glass
Yes. I found a piece of uranium glass the beach of Lake Michigan. Shines really good.
I used to collect uranium glass, such beautiful glass.
Amazing Review straight to the grain .....
Goin tomorrow to get one
I have same thing for over two years and it still works well!
Purpose of the light with scorpions is not it identify if something IS a scorpion...but rather to help spot/find the buggers. I can find my damn shoes no problem.
Some wavelengths light up scorpions...others...not so much
*TO* not *it*
What happens if you point this light on your skin?
WHAT THE NM rating?
I use a 18650 battery in that light ✔️💪🤟
See how it works on fresh engine oil. I have a blue UV flashlight I bought specifically for chasing down oil leaks. It makes the oil fluoresce green.
Thanks for the information
Does it make fingernails look ugly?
Saxon what do you mean?
@@UVBlackLights I see it went over your head. It was a joke. The fingernails in the video looked pretty grungy so I wondered if the light would make them look better. I shouldn't have had to explain that.
@@saxon1177 hard to sense sarcasm via text lol.
no, the black lights make the scorpions stick out like a sore thumb, they glow a real bright green and it stands out
people be careful i have had uvc burns to the eyes and not even morphine in the hospital could stop the pain, you want to rip your eyes from your head.
Where is it made? I have one but i wanna know where its made
Christian Cooper probably China.

Chhhyyynah ☝🙌
can it be used to look for piss , blood and jit stains????
Hahaha I think so they said pet surprises. I'll ask em up at the HF😂
Yes, don't use it in the bathroom unless you are prepared to spend the next several hours cleaning, or possibly burn the place down...
You have fungus under your nails 💅
