For me the best Kiss song !
This is a great live version.
Ruff, raw, loud, not perfect but i think they all knew thats why we loved them.
That raunchy garage band we knew that made it big.
Ace always said he played sloopy but played it 100%
Paul Stanley had one of the great R&R voices imho.
Dont remember much but did see them live in 1976
Up in the great white north
Bangor Maine! 17 then. Now 64 and every time Strutter comes on at the jobsite I run over and crank the radio up. Truly the the good old days 60s 70s 80s
Best bands. Best songs. Best musicians. We are blessed to have lived thru it. It will never happen again sadly

Great version. Peter's playin' quiet brillant ! I am positively surprised that he's hitting the drum kit during "Alive Symphony" does anyone know the reason why ?

“Strutter” (1974) was the first track on Kiss’ debut album “Kiss” (1974).
This was initially titled “Stanley the Parrot,” but when the band came up with a different groove, they changed their minds.
The tune was inspired by good-looking women in New York City, who wore sexy clothes. In 1974, there were piles of introspective lyrics, but not on Kiss’ LPs‼️ 💙🎶💚

Chicks in platforms and tight waist to knees elephant bell blue jeans, mini-skirts or hot pants during my HS years of the early 70s...absolutely loved this KISS song "Strutter" b/c it was all about them!! Some of the best audience shots that I've seen in this video on YT!!

My kid brother bought Dressed to Kill when it came out in 72?. He joined the kiss army on the back of the album and all the kids at halloween dressed as paul stanly. I say they have made their mark for Longevity. Back then a Full Concert ticket to see Aerosmyth and Jeff Beck, was 8$ in Seattle KingDome. Pat Benatar was 2.30$ at catch a rising star in seattle. Her Guitar husband is one of the best live performers , Ever. Wish I would have seen more bands in their prime , like Van Halen, Journey, Rush, AC/DC, and a few others. That was the time to grow up and be in Music./

      @@joshboevers7982 I now realize you are right....Ace left 1st
The very reason I gave my NJ PNC center kiss ticket to a freind... didn't want to see them without Ace
      I've seen Kiss 76 77 78 96 98 and 2000....always the original 4 in makeup
Wouldn't see them any other way
Although I'm sorry I never saw Paul's Live to win tour....
      From the videos I saw
It seemed like a great show
Having said that...I appreciate Tommy and Eric as amazing musicians...and they have been on board a long time 20 plus yrs
But I cant explain it ....it just sounds to sterile and formulated
The original 4 had a fat raw sound
And I think Tommy and Eric being such seasoned session players kind have taking the edge off their sound
Or maybe I'm too much of a purist

Whoever spliced this video did a great audio job but please don't show ace when he didn't play that solo. Show Tommy Thayer playing it because he was the one in the recording of most of this video.
