For me the best Kiss song ! This is a great live version. Ruff, raw, loud, not perfect but i think they all knew thats why we loved them. That raunchy garage band we knew that made it big. Ace always said he played sloopy but played it 100% Paul Stanley had one of the great R&R voices imho. Dont remember much but did see them live in 1976 Up in the great white north Bangor Maine! 17 then. Now 64 and every time Strutter comes on at the jobsite I run over and crank the radio up. Truly the the good old days 60s 70s 80s Best bands. Best songs. Best musicians. We are blessed to have lived thru it. It will never happen again sadly
The way he's able to yell those words and still sound good is so impressive. It's one of my favorite abilities of singers, and Paul nails it so good during this performance.
This is one of the last original great hard rock bands and they are still touring! I love that they are still rocking hard, the world wouldn't be the same without KISS!!
I don't care too much for Tommy but that was a really good solo just as good as Ace and it's really not easy for me to say that. Tommy must have been a real fan of kiss cuz he nailed that.

My first KISS concert was at Cobo Hall in Detroit. I was 6 years old in 1975. My last concert with the original band was at Tiger Stadium in Detroit in 1996 I was 27 at the time. I've only seen the original band, I've never seen KISS with the two wannabes Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer and wouldn't want see the wannabes.
So glad and thankfull I had my teenage years in the late 70's , early 80's. I feel truly sad for my kids who have to grow up in these current f*ked up 'woke' times...
Seeing the fans dressed up like the band reminds me of the first time that I saw Kiss. About three-quarters of the way through the show a girl came up to the section we were in and sat down next to us. She was dressed perfectly as Gene. It looks like she spent so much time getting ready for the gig that she ended up missing most of it. 🥵
This is right at the level of KISS in 1976, when I first saw them. Paul is tearing up the vocals, Strutter is a hell of an opener, right up there with Detroit Rock City.
The last time I saw KISS was in 2010. I went with my best friend (we saw them 10 times) and we had an absolute blast and was outside. Even then Paul had lost a chunk of range. When their next tour was announced, we decided to never see them again. Why ruin a great memory?
Paul is singing his Muthafuckin’ ass off here! I saw them live in 1975, and Kiss was a spectacle. I saw Led Zeppelin two years later, same effect, completely different stages, the music was the star. Not the stage production.
Well it's not the best live version- But It may be Paul's last hurrah on Strutter, before his voice became weak. It's a stellar job here for this performance though!

My kid brother bought Dressed to Kill when it came out in 72?. He joined the kiss army on the back of the album and all the kids at halloween dressed as paul stanly. I say they have made their mark for Longevity. Back then a Full Concert ticket to see Aerosmyth and Jeff Beck, was 8$ in Seattle KingDome. Pat Benatar was 2.30$ at catch a rising star in seattle. Her Guitar husband is one of the best live performers , Ever. Wish I would have seen more bands in their prime , like Van Halen, Journey, Rush, AC/DC, and a few others. That was the time to grow up and be in Music./

From the videos I saw It seemed like a great show Having said that...I appreciate Tommy and Eric as amazing musicians...and they have been on board a long time 20 plus yrs But I cant explain it ....it just sounds to sterile and formulated The original 4 had a fat raw sound And I think Tommy and Eric being such seasoned session players kind have taking the edge off their sound Or maybe I'm too much of a purist
