    I think this might be my favourite version of Strutter - Paul's voice right here is absolutely phenomenal! Just on another level, and Bruce is ripping it on lead 🤘🏻⚡️🔥

      You all say that this is the best performance, that Paul is at his best here, but it was because Paul was getting the top notes so wrong that he essentially lost his voice by the mid-'00s

    Kiss went on after Helloween and Anthrax. Paul heard Kiske and Belladonna and said: "Hold my beer". That sheer power in the high register... wow!

    Fantastic version of the song. I was there that year...Kiss were indeed awesome. Sadly that show will be remembered for all the wrong reasons. Kiss and GnR definitely put out the most powerful performances on the day - Maiden never really stood a chance following those two.

    Straight insanity with these vocals I always knew he was a good singer, but man he really shows how great of a singer he really was. I wish he always sang this song like this. It makes me really like stutter even more.

    WOW WOW WOW! Paul Stanley was unreal great -this line-up was the best of all of them... PERIOD! I know someone is going to come along and remind me that when they were 12 in 1977 that Ace and Peter were amazing and that this is not KISS because they are not there. I understand the magic of the four make-up characters of KISS - but - DAMN! This is So Good - so - listen again and be honest with yourself - this is the best version of STRUTTER.

      Was at this show. Kiss were, in fact, great. However, it was Maiden’s first headline slot at Donnington and they owned the crowd and were in no danger.

      He sung like this on that whole your, I have this set on tape from the original radio broadcast and I was there that day, this is how it sounded and how the show was in that era. There are a few recordings of Strutter from that tour like this, I guess they just switched it up a bit when they re-added the old songs to the set.

      @@curtissteen2953Yes, it's a really different approach, and I think the songs on this tour were all played at concert pitch as well, so must have been pretty tough on Pauls voice.

    Bruce was the last original lead guitarist for KISS. So talented. I wish he had written more songs and been a more active singer.

    The only problem I see is why people played those awful Steinberger guitars. Even then, they should have looked at them and said that looks like shit, I don't care how it sounds it's not rock and roll.

    This was back in the days when technology couldn't save you. I'd prefer that KISS be remembered that way, but more recent events have probably made that impossible.

      Sounds like him when he says "come on baby" and like him on the lower notes. Sounds a lot like another version just not as high an octive

      This is indeed Paul singing live. The live footage is synched to the radio broadcast. There's a couple of videos elsewhere on RUclips of Donington '88 with the audience source for the audio, and it's the same Strutter version.
