    Don't understand why the hate towards Tommy and Eric. These guys are in a Band that needed their services. Look at Styx, Thin Lizzy, Journey, Cheap Trick, Van Halen. They are not all original members, but they have acquired musicians that sound just as good to enable their music going forward. No one has ever slammed them for the new musicians, playing the same guitar licks , or vocal likeness of the originals. Same with KISS they want their songs to sound like they always have.

    • @frankspence8723
      @frankspence8723 10 лет назад +4

      The problem is, the other bands who have replacement members don't have them wear masks pretending to be the members that they are replacing. They try to minimize it by saying Tommy and Eric are just playing the roles "The Spaceman" and "The Catman". That's just B.S.. I grew up in the seventies, we never called them "Spaceman" or Catman"! They were Ace and Peter... period. At least Ace is getting some money out of it but Peter is being screwed. It goes against the spirit of what the band has meant to all us. If Peter was getting paid for using his likeness, I would be ok with it, I think.

    • @BrentonBold
      @BrentonBold 9 лет назад +2

      Did you know that Tommy and Eric have been with longer then Ace and Peter? Why not give Tommy and Eric credit for making, in my opinion, the best Kiss album Monster. Without them, we wouldn't have 20 albums and 40 years of Kiss.

      @Skelly5962 9 лет назад +1

      Brenton Bolderoff The best KISS album is Destroyer.

    • @BrentonBold
      @BrentonBold 9 лет назад

      Boo Ninny not necessarily for me, I don't like "great expectations". but I like many classic albums such as the first album and creatures of the night. I understand that Destroyer is considered that best album but that's the reason why no one is giving Monster album any credit. The Monster album doesn't have to be the best but it is up there. I don't want to go into how Kiss is a "Nostalgic Act" and how the early and recent fanbase is not giving Kiss the musical respect they deserve. Kiss is doomed to forever be in the past, as a fanbase we should be happy but, as a musician myself, I understand their depression... but they make a fuck ton money so it doesn't matter.

    • @mjk-media
      @mjk-media 9 лет назад

      ***** Ahm Tommy co-wrote almost every song on both records he was on... that's the worst arguement you could use, because Ace wasn't exactly writing many songs per album in his time with the band and I wish people could start seeing more than the make up, because Tommy really reuses much of Ace's stuff (but now less then before), and mostly because he wants it to have the classic KISS sound, but Eric sounds NOTHING like Peter, of course he plays the parts, because the songs are the songs, but his style is completely different and (sorry but) he's a technically better drummer than Peter. And whether or not 'Monster' is a great album is based on taste. I love Monster and I've heard *many* people say the same
      PS.: Tommy (co-)wrote 3 songs on Sonic Boom and 10 on Monster.

    Great mini performance by Kiss. Fun Fact: this was not November 2014, it was February 2014. I was there :)

    Why bash KISS... They are pushing 70!!! I love ACE and PETER but there is no way in hell they could keep up... I am very grateful to see this.... It's not bad and its part of history... Were not dead yet and neither are they... I am 42 and they started the year I was born..Thats pretty effin awesome...Rejoice that these type of things still exist.... Pretty amazing!!!

      +Kevin Cannon they didnt drink ungodly amounts of alcohol and do drugs, it has been all about there brand, they are excellent business people as well. Alcohol and drugs shorten lives.....

      Yeah, I used to think alcohol and drugs shorten lives....but this year alone I've seen The Moody Blues, Van Halen, Judas Priest, and Boston. Alcohol and drugs in moderation might be the fountain of youth bro.

      Let's not forget about Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones. No one knows how he still is alive after all the stuff that he did.
      And I personally disagree with the fact that Ace couldn't keep up. Ace is still rocking better than these guys are. Peter is another story. He's the oldest member and can't really play anymore.

    Bruce Kulick the best lead guitarist they ever had. The 84-92 line up was their best . Eric Carr was awesome.

    when people talk about how great Peter was, do they realize that he was with the band for about 6 of their 40 years together...?

    • @mjk-media
      @mjk-media 10 лет назад +2

      Yeah, it's like when people say they are 'KISS fans' only because they like Ace and Peter, meaning they only like 50% of the original line up and only 20% of the whole KISStory . . .

      Brian M Actually Peter was about 15 years on KISS, 7 from the beginning (1972) until first left (1979) and then from 1996 to 2003-2004

      Peter Adolph Michaelsen Zegarra 1973-1979 (first album 1974) reuinion 1996-2000 quit rejoined in late 2002 -2004 So 5 1/2 + 4 + 1 and half = 10 years

    2:40 Gene is bored... there's no way he'd dance like that when Peter was laying down the proper beat at his peak. The fury of KISS is gone. But the glory remains.
