This song really grew on me, I swear it’s alway the marches that capture your heart
This really features the low brass and i love it. Me being a euphonium makes it hard trying to find music that has us as a melody. I enjoy this march and it has actually encouraged me to look into more Spanish marches hoping they also feature the euphoniums as much as this one.

Played this last year, beautiful piece for low brass. Trombone player here, this piece makes me feel appreciated as the part wasn’t “easy” not overwhelmingly difficult
At last!!!! One "foreing" version not played as if the band were in a hurry to go home. IMO this is one of the best versions. You can dance it (it's a pasodoble-doublestep) and a march you don't want to trip with it. Thanx Mr Fagan from Barcelona.

Omg, it was so hard to be honest. As a 3rd clarinet, I absolutely hated playing this song. The notes weren't hard at all, just the timing and playing the same notes over and over again was just monotonous but I have to admit that it sounds nice
Feel bad for the firsts too, they just have downbeats for most of it haha. Solo clarinet is the actually good part

I remember freshman year in high school my band director proposed raising the tempo to 148. One of the tubas literally yelled out "Nooooo!"

I played this for wind ensemble in hs and got damn that shit was fun. There was one day we had an after school practice but our director let us know he couldnt be there so instead of just going home we ran through this song as fast as we could. Can confirm it sounded like this but at like a quarter faster it was doable and actually sounded better in our opinion.
I'm playing this in a community band, and the director likes to take this piece way too fast (somewhere around 160 bpm). We're all skilled musicians and can handle it, but yikes! It's supposed to be a march, not a circus screamer.

i believe this was the absolute perfect speed. First half could have been sped up just a tad, but the second part was perfect. I cant stand when bands play the second half the same speed as the first. it should be slower and more legato. I loved this recording.

Euphonium part sounds an octave too low.

this is the easy version. the original is "too difficult (?)". I noticed because the bass clarinet part is different and a lot of missing 16th and 32nd notes.
