Your curls are gorgeous ❤ as a mixed woman (who is pale as heck) with E3 to E4 curls I'm so lazy with them. Until I made a diagnostic error and gave myself a buzz cut, I've had a super easy time with my curls cause they don't require any real maintenance. That doesn't mean they don't need and/or deserve said maintenance. After watching you and a couple other curly haired women really love on your curls, I have vowed to treat mine better when they grow back out ❤
My waves get a little wild (let's just say, volume is never scarce around here) if I don't use a bonnet and since my hair is also short, a small bonnet is even better at containing them. I started using one thanks to you and it has made SUCH a difference, thank you!

So cute! My mom has super thick curly hair. Mine is thin, fine and a little wavy. Not wavy enough to look good when it dries, but not straight enough to not frizz after you blow it out the minute you walk outside and hit the humidity!

Yes! I love Ewing the routine videos, ESPECIALLY ones where you’ve slept on curls and you make them presentable in the morning. I am a night shower person (also not a morning person) so I style a night and right now I’m pretty much fully re-wetting and restyling in curly days… 😩

I share your sentiment. Mine was, somewhat, the opposite. I got pneumonia directly after having covid. More than 3/4 of my hair fell out. It grew back with ringlet curls. I loved it! But, flash forward 2 1/2 years, and my hair has slowly been returning to its previous state of barely a wave. I had it cut into a bob, about the length of Mels. It was still curly, just not so much at the roots, like Mels. Now, it's become very apparent, it's growing back the way it was before. I still have curl left at the ends that I know will be gone forever the next time I cut my hair. 😢
Im worried about a bonnet really messing up my hair! I do sleep on a silk pillowcase. But..i do want to try one as my hair gets in my face at night and really starting to bother me. Suggestions for one? Bonnet?

Your hair keeps a cast nicely when use anything to set my hair since the curl pattern isn’t nice and my hair is so thick I am left with hair that won’t dry for days or set and if I dry the hair I’m left with heavy hair with no shape 😢I love your curls and you are so lucky
Do you have a minimalist curly hair routine? I have have MAYBE 3 products, including shampoo/conditioner.. I need affordable and preferably not a lot of products. (Have looser curls than you I think, but it not taken care of so I can't be sure)
I probably made no sense in my last comment. But what I was trying to say is I am just looking for some products to get my hair curly as can be without it being so stiff. Because at the moment I do cleanse three times and condition twice. After that I will get out of the shower put it in a towel and it's already brushed out in the shower, so when I get out I'll put it in a towel and then when I'm putting my moose in I will lightly brush out the ends first just to make sure it is not tangled. After that I just put my moose in and let it be sometimes I will tip my head upside down and rub the root that way it doesn't stick to my scalp but for some reason, I still get very stiff crunchy hair. What would you recommend? .😮
Ok but I need to know how to do it with longer hair. My hair isn’t super long, just below my collarbone. So would I diffuse, keep the cast, put in a VERY loose pineapple with a silk scrunchie and a bonnet? Would that work? I’m afraid to try it because all I imagine in my head is waking up with bozo the clown hair after washing at night and then going to sleep then having to rewash in the morning just to get it back to normal.
Do you have any tips or advice for finer curly hair. My hair will look absolutely nasty if I put in styling products that are made for any sort of hold. Any leave in conditioner will wheigh my hair down. If I defuse my hair, it literally poofs out to the sides and feels Really weird. HEEELLLLPPP!!!
