@@BlondeJesus420 okay, education time. I'm a college student learning about animation, and this course tends to have a lot of focus on video editing. While none of my classes focus directly on this style of video I'm going to by applying what I've learned from those courses and apply them to here to show why I do believe this guy has great editing. First off, one thing you're taught is to only show what is important to the audience. Now this doesn't mean not to decorate your scenes and environments, but it does mean you want your primary focus to be on the main cast or to relate to what you're watching. In a video format like this (which is more videogame/documentary style) this basically translates to only showing the game when people could use a visual example. And there's a ton of visual examples that pugger ends up showing off over the course of this video. In fact, anything that is shown on screen here always relates to what's being shown, which among RUclips is rather rare unsurprisingly. Which leads me to my next point, the sheer amount of clips captured for this video was no joke. I may not know how he managed to gather these clips but it always felt intentional. Too many RUclipsrs will keep an image up for as long as possible to avoid using another slide or clip to make the workload lighter. If you ever notice how many cuts are in a film there's two signs. Either "please stop you are shaking me around harder than Tony Hawk's signiture Indy 900" or that every scene is there for a deliberate reason which as I described above, Pugger 100% accomplished the later. And I do want to point out one thing because this kinda plagues rookie writers, just because there aren't any fancy editing tricks, you honestly don't need those tools to be a fantastic editor. You don't need high end graphics or lens flares or super fancy slide transitions like on PowerPoint (which you *REALLY* don't need and if you're going to use transition slides, please stick to one and not go all fancy with every single transition. Especially with video, it'll only impress little Timmy and make everyone else just think "oh okay this guy doesn't know how to edit"). A good editor is one that ends up hiding within the background instead of being front and center. A good audience will enjoy their attention being drawn to your topic. Fellow editors will point out the hidden tricks you use. TL;DR, good use of visuals leads to happy audience.

Great video! The reason AutoRune community went underground was for mostly technical/copyright reasons: Andrew changed the protocol in a way that made it impossible to inject commands without having a copyrighted text in the memory, on purpose. That was a very entertaining vid, cheers
Mod Mark's account being hijacked lol!
And thaaat's why the runescape client constantly moves ever so slightly...
Great video
Makes you wonder how many party hats made it through from classic, and how many are actually still around on RS3.
I’m definitely interested in seeing more videos like this one.
Forgot to give credit to Xx Jut Xx for info you took from his website.
Elaborate
nice video definitely looking forward to more like this
10:00 yes! please make more bot clients to continue the history :)
I remember this client! A ton of people used it to level magic because it sucked so hard to level back then, plus being dark and light spell books. I'm getting old.
For some reason I read the title as “chat client” and I was really excited to see what the heck that meant. Eh, still a great video 👍🏻
why cut off yellow partyhat from the screenshot on 5:39... oh wait, because its actually the cheapest partyhat right now...
Epicbot was very popular in 2010 era. They actually would log into your account and steal your stuff but you got the xp. So they were also gold farmers as well.
This was a great video. More please
im surprised you got your info as accurate as you did, good job. i remember all this shit happening i started playing in 2001 this kind of shit was what made the game so much more interesting back then than it is now a days lol
p.s. fun fact: for a few years when you said Evilcowgod in game it came out as **********
Just saw like 10 bots in world 470 in draynor wheat field, all level 5
delete pls, I'm making bank
@@SeaGrea lmao
You hit me with the nostalgia :'( lol I was 6 years old when my sister of 9 years of age made our first RS account. She sat in class thinking of a good password that would represent the sibling bond and love for games that we have. Legit still use it for some things. RIP RS Classic. I even have the same username back when Jagex told us RS classic would live and members would stay 5$ if you stayed a member.
Keep up the history my guy. I'm lovin' it.
Good vid man
Wow I so forgot the term "Autoer".
RSC bringing back so much nostalgia.
A game without a soundtrack isn't complete game, IMO. RS2 IS the first, COMPLETE RS experience. That's y I don't mind them ending Classic. It had no charm.
More of this. Love it!
Those party hats have changed a lot since this video
What happened to your discord server @SirPugger?
Just an FYI, you could make a bearded woman in RSC using the makeover mage and a bearded male character without AutoRune.
Awesome content Puggers :)
Ahhh the nostalgia top video dude and very accurate
Really dope to hear!
I don´t even play runescape but i watch more or less every video sir pugger releases lol.
Your video is amazing good job 👍
I was there when thia happened. I still have accounts left with partyhats. Some were left to classic servers, some are forgotten, some are in rs3. Rs2 early years were also epic. I havent played a long time and even not thinking of wanting starting in osrs.
Pls spare me some 1
Keep making vids and I see a golden gnome in your future
Dang, feels like watching a July the RS History Guy video!
