Honestly, all these portraits look so wonderfully "off". I know most people dislike really "alien" aliens, but the weird portraits make so much sense in terms of a mysterious universe which really doesn't conform to your expectations. This is highly subjective, but whichever portrait you pick is the right choice and off-putting can sometimes be a welcome surprise.
I prefer portrait 2 ( the hunchback one), portrait 4 (The, "I'm totally not part of Yoda's species!" one) and portrait 8 (because it looks like Cthulhu mixed with a peacock and somehow it works!).
When the Shroud presents you with the list of candidates for the Chosen One blessing, you can still check the name of your empire leader before choosing, thus avoiding giving the Chosen One trait to a bad candidate.
You were the Chosen One! You were supposed to research technologies, not spend the rest of your natural life on a science ship! (for real tho, if you ever feel usess remember that their only real purpose late-game is to jump-drive over to a battlefield during wartime and risk their lives reverse-engineering fallen empire tech or fresh unbidden/prethoryn guts)

All aquatic bases, ships, turrets and megastructures look beautiful with those hexagonal glass tanks that make up the crew decks, but this one looks especially beautiful. This is absolutely the only content of your's I watch. Like the long-form is amazing for watching while doing something else and tends to build up a sense of narrative.
I've noticed the AI doing weird things with their fleets. Even when their fleet is superior it doesn't come to the front line, I grab a bunch of systems with numerous smaller fleets defending. Their main fleet just stays back away from the fight. This was a war they started!
Only at the start of the run so i don't know what you go for with the third civic slot, but catalytic processing is insane with anglers because of the uncapped ocean districts. Your mineral needs are reduced to almost nothing

The aquatic ships are definitely the best so far. It's like they actually hired someone with some skills this time to make the ships. Thanks for another upload. I've said it before and I'll say it again if not for your videos giving me ideas I'd of never played this game after the devs removed the different drives, or again when they supposedly fixed the alliances etc (terrrible with names), or any of the other shit they supposedly "fixed" but really just fucked up worse and expected modders to fix.
My favorite character icon is the second to last. Always happy when i see you upload, it instantly makes my day better. I figured commenting so the overlord algorithm would be kinder towards these videos was the least i could do as a thank you. As always, love the videos, happy you've been able to upload these two years in all the chaos and Thank You so much for all the joy your videos have brought me.

You'd have to rush the L-cluster and probably force-spawn the L-Drakes, if not just save, try it and reload if it isn't them. I know this navy would be pitifully weak, but I'd still like to see it.
@@varthalgamekiin4931 I suspect instead of weapons techs I would need to just give early repeatables that unnerf your fleet. Additionally I would probably have some super techs at the top end of a tech tree... And a backpack slot each for our pets so they can get equivalent choices doe armour, shields, and hull upgrades. Otherwise you will outright lose to anti armor weapons like plasma. Theoretically? I can make everything equal. In practice? I haven't a clue how to customize creature weapons to make them viable. As you can't swap out weapon slots. So what sort of anti shield breath attack do the dragons get for instance? Or do we spam Ameoba for their strike craft instead?

Lol, I was already doing the same goal of drowning all xeno empires with the Deluge Collosus Weapon before this video posted! Edit: My empire was more xenophobic so I didn't have to worry much about resettling non-aquatic pops off-world.
Once you have the Deluge Colossus you don't that to terraform your existing non ocean planets anymore. If the planet has aquatic species on it they won't get harmed, so you can deluge your own planets and save yourself the energy credits and time. I haven't tried it myself, but it might be a nice way to turn a Gaia world into an ocean world. Pretty sure you can deluge tomb worlds too.

@@AnthonyR007 There is nothing wrong with any type of galaxies. It's just Lathrix plays only in "ring" galaxies, at least lately. And I think that it is more fun to change things from time to time.
I found the ocean paradise a little underwhelming. It would be nice to be able to expand the home planet even larger to make sure that it retains an important role in the gate game, instead of paling in comparison to ringworlds.

do NOT take god emperor with your Chosen One if you want to keep Anglers. God Emperor will remove anglers and you cannot turn them back on
