@@catcentrum I think the same species (down to traits, name, and portrait) will work for lost colony. Maybe being a megacorp could work for these new origins but I would doubt it due to the fact they have to have contact with quite a few pre-ftl civilizations. The thing I think is funny that used to be possible, and I think it still is, is multiple civilizations as identical but different origins/ethics (so long as they don't add traits and have the same planet class) would let you modify between the different civilizations. Though, knowing how heavy I used to mod, I might have just broke something back then.
Here's the deal with all of those fleets in the same system the unbidden can't choose only your ships to kill. So while they can one shot a ship your allied fleet's give you ironically ablative armor since because of there size they soak up more of the shots sent from the unbidden. And since you hard counter them you take out there ships almost as fast as they kill yours

This is probably my favorite Stellaris playthrough of yours. It was very engaging to see a true unification of the galaxy. Thank you for such enjoyable content!
I saw Montu's "No fleet, station only" run not too long ago. But, I think the nastiest bastion fortresses are the ones belonging to psionic empires with the Zroni chain and archeo-ascension as well. Picture this, a Citadel fortress, 6 Ancient Rampart modules granting a total of +90% station hull, +120% armor and +60% armor hardening; then for the buildings it has a Target Uplink Computer for +50% weapons range, Defense-Grid Supercomputer for platform cap, a Zroni Storm Caster for our pocket neutron star (which is buffed by Archeostudies Ascension Perk to deal 10% hull damage PER DAY a hostile fleet is in system), and a Communications Jammer to further hamper enemy fleets by slowing them down and making it harder for them to escape when they realize they have walked into a death system. Then, for the platforms, with the Unyielding Traditions tree and a Strategic Coordination Center, 78 defense platforms. First is an ion cannon with a whopping 375 range to "caress" the enemy lovingly and let the other platforms know to wake up. The remaining 70 platforms are all hanger platforms acting as home base to endless squadrons of Ancient Driller Drones. Their homes are all armored with level 5 armor, nanite repair system (I had scrapbot in my game), and a reactive armor module for armor hardening. Each of these Ancient Driller Drones do -25% damage to shield, but +100% armor penetration and have +25% hull damage. Thanks to the Zroni Storm Caster nullifying shields and doing hull damage, the ion cannon sounding the alarm all the way to the system edge, the first thing an enemy fleet will encounter, long before they get in range to fire back, will be swarms of drone fighters bypassing their armor and doing bonus damage to their hull for a cumulative damage greater than tier 3 fighters.
This will most likely be good against AI as long as they don’t use jump drives. But against players it won’t be that good unless you had a big fleet to reinforce/support the bastion and surrounding systems.
Man that start IS perfect for a fallen empire rp. I truly wish stellaris had "seeds" to have the same start but with different civics and stuff. I know you can share saves but it ain't the same lol
I'm pretty sure there are "system" mods that add new custom starting systems and locations around them so theyd maybe sorta work? But yeah seeds would be cooler and probably easier lol
It'd also be great for world building if you can change the specific spawn circumstances of AI(fallen empire, advanced start, etc.). I think in generalz Stellaris needs a change to World Generation and how we affect it
While the climax with AI fleets arriving and for once being useful(apparently if you control the whole galaxy, have maxed out federation, are a custodian and evey member of community is your scholarium, whom pays you nothing back, AI can finally keep up😂. I wonder what would have been achieved if it was a different federation type then?) was cool and all, it's early game that looked awesome. For once the tiny sci-fi blocks of Stellaris fully assembled into a space opera about slaves crash landing on a planet, by chance finding a trail of a precursor civilization that gave them a chance to establish themselves, making a few friends along the way and then finally leading a rebellion against their former masters and finally finding their home planet. Yep, we've basically just watched Homeworld. No idea if these origins would become stale to me after a while, but I like them from RP PoV.
at 1:30:00 when you were looking at the ship design of the federation, there's what I think is a bug that everyone in the federation can make their own ship designs and build that ship, instead of only the president, which I find it really weird, when I was playing I eventually chose to only make the president (me) be able to build ships because it was getting ridiculous the fleet with so many garbage ships

I haven't finished the video yet, but I got to the part where you chose politics and I have to say a discovery I made while playing, politics is utterly broken, for example if you're in the council and you get the veto power, well, did you know that every police you veto counts towards the +25% weight you gain for your resolutions not going to a vote? yeah... and they also stack! Also with the new laws you get you can basically make laws as punitive as possible for everyone else while giving yourself a free pass at everything! man I really love it

I recommend you try a megacorp with private prospectors and broken shackles if you want to revisit this origin. I have had upwards of 10 planets in the first ~30 years, due to having the numerous species. Trade is also one of the few things that isn't hurt by the starting debuffs. It plays more towards the strengths of the origin. You can also start pacifist then easily transition into xenophile if you want to switch off liberation wars. Always Amazing Stellaris Content, thank you so much for these Full Playthroughs!
This is somehow the least evil stellaris playthrough I've seen yet.
Always a lovely experience to watch lath while sleeping just makes sense you know.
I see lathland uploads, I click! Love these full playthrough videos!
I do really enjoy your playthroughs and if nothing else, you deserve like for your "Minamar" voice :D
Nice. Actually, I really enjoy the long-format videos even the 5h one for working and sleeping. Hey youtube, stop being so annoying .
