☆ ABOUT ME ☆
I am a former tech worker who lived in NYC for 30 years. When I reached 50, I set out my own and created a business selling on Amazon using their FBA program. Great fun, but neither career left much time for healthy living.
I turned 60 last year (2023). I found myself 110 pounds overweight and seriously out-of-shape, pre-diabetic, with sky-high cholesterol, and unable to walk for more than 20 minutes without resting.
I decided to make some major changes. I shut down my Amazon business and started living frugally. Health is more important than money, especially as we grow older. In August 2023 I started the carnivore diet and lost 65 pounds in 3 months.
Now I’m hooked! I can walk for miles without a rest now. My cholesterol is within normal levels as is my blood pressure. I am no longer pre-diabetic, and I feel 30 years younger!
After experiencing the benefits, I’ve become passionate about sharing my story to help others.

welcome back, I'm in my 10th month now, I'm never tired and no pains! never go back :)
Good work, keep going!
Fascinating how fast our body reacts to the crap. 😬
It really is though . My body says ohhh we’re storing fat now ? Ok game on .
Next time Florida with tons of fresh fish and seafood!! 😍🐟
Caved in and had half a cake this past weekend and I felt like crap. Stomach bloated and glucose stayed high for most of the day.
Good that you’re paying attention to your body. Once you feel that carbohydrate fog, it’ll be easier to stay away. I’m on Day 3 and I have no desire to cheat!
A small piece of cake when I was on keto gave me actual stomach pain so I totally believe that.
I had two slices of pizza last night 😢 I feel terrible today
You can see that contrast !! That’s great 🙌🏻 means your body loves healthy food .
As tough as it can be to get off carnivore it is wonderful that we can hear our body and its ability to give us signals. I had a massive gout flare up when I got off carnivore during january. I like the idea of three month commitment blocks I am going to copy that concept!
Yes, it was really good to see what happened with my body. Now I’m certain that carnivore is the right way for me to eat. Glad you’re listening too.
Welcome back! Carnivore is life.
Welcome back Jay- time for a meat run to Costco!
Gonna head there tomorrow and will make a video!
If there’s room in the freezer buy loads of beef! Fire in TX panhandle will raise prices.
Well, I'm glad to hear it was just temporary. Welcome back. 😀👌
Totally agree about renting your own apartement, 🥩 lots of great lesson’s learnt.
Absolutely!!
Interesting. Thanks for sharing your experience and tips. 😊
My pleasure!
My daughter adores India and was there mid January til mid February. ( third trip) She’s vegetarian and tiny. She cooks the most amazing food but eating it for a week staying with her I put on lots of weight. Just 7lbs for your month surprised me. Well done. Your body will love you soon after what you bought in your shop recently.
Welcome back 👍
I am about to go to Amsterdam, Germany and Italy in April. Germany should be a breeze but yikes! I have been to Europe and lost weight off a diet due to walking and not "loosing my mind" but I think like you, I will have to give myself some grace for the three weeks. Additionally, Europe doesn't process food like Americans so the "heavy" carbs don't effect me as much as at home in Texas. Great channel and welcome home!
Thanks! For me, Europe is dangerous - all those baked goods. But if you can avoid the baked goods you should be ok.
Easy to do Carnivore in Europe, All of these countries love to eat meat, seafood, lots of great cheese and eggs, enjoy your trip. 🥩 plan ahead.
honestly, I do not think it is just the carbs. Our food comes with so much chemical coverage on it that it is probably having a very large detrimental effect as well. I think it's just more noticeable on the highly processed stuff, which plants are absolutely coated with the stuff and giving it a rinse in the sink will not get it all off or out of it, especially since quite a bit of it is absorbed during the growing process. I notice that apples from my backyard orchard don't have nearly the detrimental effect while on carnivore that store bought apples do. It's a whole different league.
They love their sausage in both countries. Good luck
As soon as I stray off the track my Sciatic nerve pain, general joint pain, and muscle aches come back within a few days and usually lasts for up to a week.
It’s not so fast for me, but I definitely do get the joint pains. Hopefully they’ll all clear up in a few days. I’m on day 3 and feel better already!
Yes indeed me too . Idk why I bother cheating . Addiction is still strong . Supermarket is a trigger
Ah Jay... my life-long dream has been to go to India. I love the people, the culture, the fashion and more... I don't think I am going to get there now, at my age, but so glad to hear you enjoyed your time there. I have been able to keep strict to Carnivore lately, but I did buy some bacon and over a week I had three strips of bacon each day with two eggs... unfortunately, I got pretty sick as my body just does not seem to be able to handle eggs or bacon, but I can't afford just steak, so I was trying to eat cheaper. I do eat a bit of chicken or pork, and some lamb, but prefer beef when I can afford it. I got ribeyes on sale last week for $21.88 per pound... yes that was the sale price and the butcher got upset with me again because I wanted a few and he doesn't like to have to cut any for me.... At first, he actually refused to sell to me and said I had to come back another day... I do not understand why people have to be so unkind. I had arranged for a friend to drive me to do my shopping that day as my car is at the mechanic right now, so it would have been very problematic for me to come back...
Yes, India is a special place. Glad to hear that carnivore is going well for you.
Ground beef and chuck steak are my go-tos when I can’t afford ribeyes.
That butcher sounds mean . 😢 I’m sorry you were treated poorly
@@Christinesobsevations Thank you for your kind comment... I found a new Butcher and he is very kind. Today I went to buy Rib steaks that were a very good sale price. I asked for 30 steaks so I could put them in my freezer... He then told me that next week there is a HUGE increase in the cost of beef, so I asked if I could buy more. He gave me 44 steaks to buy and I was so grateful that I found a great new Butcher who cares about me. Yes, I had to use my credit card, but Pension check comes next week so I can pay for it.
Cool! Nice footage of India too. Some people in India are on a carnivore diet but, it's probably easier for them because they know where to find meat and cook it at home.
Yes, and they know how to cook it the Indian way. Also, the food varies a lot from region to region; some parts eat more meat than others.
Hello Jay...the next time you travel to India or anywhere else you find it challenging to keep up with your Carnivore diet...if you decide to buy lamb, etc...soak it in salt or vinegar 8-12 hours and it will remove the gaminess from the meat...the vinegar will help tenderize the meat also.
Thanks for sharing your experiences and encouraging content.
Peace be with you.
That’s a great suggestion. I really don’t like that gamey taste, and did not realize that there was a way to get rid of it.
Thanks Jay,
Thanks for the info!
JW....three months makes sense!!
Incredible your cholesterol actually came down btw I had stuffy nose issues with more carbs
Yes, I did not expect that. And it’s stayed down too.
Me too !!
You should go to Kerala and the northeastern states like Mizoram if you want to eat carnivore in India. You can easily get beef in these places.
I’ll check them out next time I go
Those shots from India remind me of that movie eat pray love w/ Julia Roberts - if you haven’t seen it you should it’s Spiritual Have a great day
hail to carnivore diet ❤..
Incredible your cholesterol actually came down
Yes, I did not expect that. And it’s stayed down too!
From what I heard, India is exploding in type 2 Diabetes like other places & the USA.
I’ve heard the same.
