Hogue is doing some very cool stuff. Love the action on their button-lock flippers like the Microflip. Just wish they'd ditch their "no dissasembly" warranty.
They need a “working class” one for forklift operators or specifically cold storage. And it would be especially cool if it would be better designed to be used with gloves and to withstand the cold (i.e. moisture and other issues that come from cold environments) no one is really doing anything for the cold. Just a thought.
I like the Ritter knife. That's about it. Every other Hogue just reminds me of a fancy, aggressively styled gas station knife. Very Tactibro with a shit ton of handle screws.
The shame about this is that it is obvious they could be making really awesome stuff. With legitimate knife designers they could be killing it with their awesome U.S. based factory. This "working class" line of knives are an insult. Like anyone else a working class guy would want a classy and fancy, well designed tool to use everyday and Hogue is 100% capable of producing any number of these.
You guys really need to promote Doug Ritter’s RSK MK1 - G2 (Knifeworks) or have him design a dedicated “Hogue” version with similarly sculpted titanium scales... Quality not quantity is key to survival in mid-tech production knife world!
@@BladeHQ I love how they have worked with the RUclips community sending out blanks for those guys to test and just being a reachable down to earth company.
They must have been watching Nick Shabazz's terrible knives videos for inspiration. Seriously, what is their market for some of these things? They have a great shop, and excellent capabilities. The need to bring some class to the designs.
Zac: "So let us know, what colors would you like to-" Me: "BEN GODDAMN BLUE! WHAT KIND OF QUESTION IS THIS EVEN?" I live alone, in a one bedroom apartment and work VERY part time. So now my neighbors have even more reason to doubt my sanity. However, my statement stands. If that question ever comes up again, go with "Ben Blue", as it pops against black better than anything and stands out well against any other colors as well, so that we can see what you're referencing should you decide to point it out. And if you don't, it's a cool little easter egg for those of us "in the know".
@@mortuus4601 I can cook, clean, mend my clothes, and hold a conversation with myself better than anyone I've ever met. Why would I want to risk giving up half my knives to someone who can't pull their weight? Next question.
My hogue knife is the only high end knife the I risk abusing. I beat the crap out of it and it takes everything. While I do carry most of my knives at some point, my hogue is my edc for work because it's a do everything knife!!!!
my Dudes! Stop putting gd forward finger choils on fixed blades! it puts the cutting edge like an whole inch above where your grip is. Test- close your fist and push on it. hard to move fist. now, grab a spatula and push the end of the spatula. very easy to move, and requires way more grip strength to keep steady. This is leverage physics! Every knife I see that has all the real estate above your hand BEFORE the cutting edge actually starts are defense-only knifes. These knives are weapons only, not multipurpose tools. If you wanna make a knife a tool, bring the cutting edge right to ur hand like a Pukka or an old anglo saxon seax blade. Great knives have "low cutting edge bore axis" so to speak. Shitty knives where the designers just masturbate and dont actually think have very high cutting edge bore axis. The only exception is combat knives like a bowie which was intended for combat as a sidearm.
The hogue compound g mascus otf is a giant piece of garbage ! For the $300 price point I bought one it rattles like a rattlesnake open and closed lots of blade wobble. I sent it back to Hogue they said that's how they are don't buy the compound it's junk. Should have bought a microtech troodon for a couple more.
Those boardwalk shop t-shirt design knives look awful... if you want engraving and a pop of color, by all means, make it look good. But who over the age of 13 would buy those for work???
Hogue is doing some very cool stuff. Love the action on their button-lock flippers like the Microflip. Just wish they'd ditch their "no dissasembly" warranty.
E G same here bud
For the price yeah.
Hogue does the Able Lock better than any Axis Lock I've owned. No blade play. No centering issues. Better spring quality. Tuned perfectly.
Love the blue screws but a dark gold or copper would be sick too.
*New Hogue knives*
Whispering: no no it’s just new COLORS
Zach: Oh
Definitely need to make a knife called the Rogue.
Dante Martin kizer already does, i dont think they can use already used names
Don't care. The "Hogue Rogue" sounds too good! LoL!
Or the, uh, Crogue.
cuz im a modern rogue
@@judaychop Nah it should be fine. Heaps of brands use the same knife name.
More fixed blade videos please!!!! Would love to see up to date fixed blade videos.

A good lock back design will handle any kind of cold no problem.
For the OTF knives a nice blazing red color for the screws I mean any color is appreciated, earth green
Yes! The black and blue OTF
Oh no...needs glasses breaker
I like the blue hardware on the OTF’s. I would like to see the trigger in blue as well.

What about the dekka and the ballista
You did a great job in conducting the interviews and putting out the videos in a very fast manner.
Some awesome knives there. Love the new blade shape on the Deka, and that Sig with the flipper & button lock 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
When is mora ????

That deka might finally get me to buy a Hogue.
It is very smooth and light. We've been digging it.
Hogue is doing some awesome work ! I hope they keep it up I can see them being a top brand in a few years if they do 👍
They have it all, quality, heritage, and incredible design/warranty.

When is zt?
Looks like the entire industry had a design waiting for the axis lock to be available.
Which is perfectly fine with me, I love the axis lock
Love the tritium vile in the switch, #Hogue should do the same with the #SigSauer line. @BladeHQ
I love Hogue knives, but they're really using gas station T-shirt designs on their knives now?
Check out my new Hogue Affliction knife Bruh!!

Hogue makes great knives. Period.
I'm partial to the EX-F01 myself
tritium vial...more interested in what type steel the blade is made of, just saying.
We want a mini ritter rsk
Well said.
No more mini anything!
When is leatherman and zt booths
spencer zent coming up am sure bud
ZT is junk 👎
zt is in the kershaw video, don't know if they have more knives to show
@@OsamaBinDarrel Elitest spotted!
Leatherman isn't at the show this year, and ZT only had one new knife - check it our on our instagram: instagram.com/p/B7l_FrMnjt7/
The new Deka models need fewer screws on the handle, slightly larger blade, no logo on the pocket clip and a deep carry pocket clip.
I was hoping to see a mini RSK. Oh well, maybe next year.
Anyone ever think of doing. Railroad style work knife... for skinning electrical cables. Trimming ties for clearances. And just a durable beater......
HOGUE. Great people. Fantastic products (grips & knives)! Terrific interview, with good product presentation!!!

I’ll be watching for that man spot knife😉👍🏼
Hogue rep isn’t carrying a knife? WTF??!!
Is that required?

What? No Hogue/Ritter mini RSK? DAMMIT 😠

I need that blue anodized screw OTF for #AxialSpondyloarthritis awareness!
Them axis locks tho haha
That’s what I’m talking about a knife for the concrete guys💪🏼
Yeah buddy!👊 -Zac
Red screws
I’m surprised more people aren’t impressed with the engravings. They do look really high quality even if they might not be my cup of tea
I honestly don't mind heavy knifes.
Wanted the one with the LORD'S PRAYER on it...till I searched it out almost $300 !!!! Can we get a tiwan copy please ? Lol
I agree but I think I’m gonna splurge for Christmas it’s a really nice knife and it’s like 220 right now
Uncle shaky is that you?!
Very cool 👍 But! There is NO EXCUSE FOR NOT HAVING YOUR OWN KNIFE IN POCKET SIR!
This is really disappointing to say the least. I was really hoping to hear the x5 would be in titanium...
Really excited about anodised screws? Wtf you "Really" need to get out more!
