Just got one from the Army. Glad my supply guys could order them. Seriously a sexy knife and my only issue is the army NSN for it is only for the tanto serrated but it’s still a great knife
I have an X5 and i have to say its nearly perfect. My only gripe is the pocket clip design. Other than that its flawless to me.. If they make a titanium version or sst handle scale version i will my another.
Wow their rolling out some real winners this year, finally growing into their own as a company. Also now we know what happened to that HK contract that Benchmade had
California doesn't have restrictions on blade length. Only certain counties like LA or Oakland. Where I live I carry a 4 in blade without problems. Oakland has a 3in law if I remember correctly. And LA? Fuck that yuppie, liberal county.
Death.Becomes.Her.07 Death.Becomes.Her.07 we do have restrictions when it comes to automatic knife hence the sub 2 inch blade, 2inches being the limit for an automatic folding knife

Like the button lock flipper, I'm a big fan of button lock but not a lot of knives use it. It's mostly seen in autos but it makes for a great manual knife.
im likely getting a hogue at some point, its weird cause i look at them as making the grips to my pistols. i handled one at a lgs, and it was a lil too goofy for me, but the quality was there, the blade steel was good. i was impressed by a brand i wasnt expecting to be impressed by. one is in my future, theyre doing good work
I haven't herd of hogue knives before but with the designs from bench made and Sig I'm really liking what there selling and the price seems to be really on point. I will defiantly be watching them close for upcoming goodies 😊, I sure hope they do a remake of the HK knife I had some years back that had a damaskis tanto style blade and African wood handle. It retailed for around $500 but unfortunately it had been stolen from me and I could never find a replacement for it 😢
Check knifeup.com California doesn't have any such law on blade length. Pocket knives can be any length and can be concealed carry. Fixed blades can be any length as long as they are carried openly. I carried a Cold Steel Spartan for a year before I got in to higher quality knives.
all the HK branded knives look like benchmade knock-offs. i mean, the first one is clearly sporting an "axis" lock, the second one is just a benchmade triage with a flipper actuation and the 3rd one is just a benchmade 4600 rip-off...
Actually, two of the Hogue -made HK knives are more like ripoffs of the old HK knives, which were made by Benchmade as essentially Chinese-made versions of their main line knives. The Exemplar is the old HK Axis and the Hadron is the HK Tumult or Turmoil (depending on exact size). Can't argue on the Triage/Karma comparison, though.
akui88 Hogue got the licensing to make HK products now. Benchmade doesn't do it any more. They're not knockoffs it is just part of the new hk line. The OTF on the table is just basically a copy of their best selling knife while Benchmade owned the rights.
Hogue needs to perfect their knives, OTFs are ungodly, I’d say the ones I’ve handled shouldn’t have made it off the line. I hope these knives are better
Rpnp2 Patents are for 20 years .then its public domain .or buck would be makeing shit tons .the 110 is only like the most copied knife out there besides maybe the bowie .
Most people don't carry coins in it either. It's an anachronism that people now use for whatever. But it's still a watch pocket, not a coin pocket by name.
"Hand sharpened and honed, you won't find any other major manufacturer doing that." Benchmade has been doing that for years. From what I understand there are only two people who sharpen ALL of their knives.
JakeAdventureHunter the patent for Benchmade's Axis Locking mechanism expired in 2017. That's why there are a handful of manufacturers freely copying the design.
Fr33domBeard what if he recently lost 90lbs or his other shirt had a bad stain and he ran to a store and its all he could find? I like to give that kind of stuff a pass because you knever know what could have happened 20 mins before this
And he ran to the store and it's all he can find? It has the HOGUE brand embroidered on it on the left chest panel. And even if he lost 90lbs then before the show a rep should have stopped him and said nah man, you can't wear that thing, that looks like something you'd cover your boat with. This is the biggest trade/expo show in the industry, and his shirt is two sizes too big. Which is typical of Hogue though, still have never used a single Hogue product that was 100% spot on. There's always been something a little off about each one.
Fr33domBeard i didnt see the Hogue branding... So you got me there. And I agree that sit lacks some professionalism, but i guess thats something you care a little more about than i do for a knife company. If i were the boss id be mad at him, but as a consumer i dont care that much
I agree that it's a petty detail, but for me it's a continuation of my customer experience with Hogue. Initially satisfactory, with a sloppy finish...makes for a mediocre experience.
The shirt has the company logo on it. I'm assuming it was provided for him. The company was too cheap to provide a fitted shirt is really what should be said
Never paid Hogue knives any attention but I gotta say, I think they knocked it out of the park on a few things here. I'm gonna go check them out.
This was probably the most interesting video from Shot Show. They are doing big things.
Hogue hit it out of the park this year
Andrew Greiner they should have. They used everyone else’s ideas.
Not my kind of knife but I really appreciate the thought they’ve put into all their models!

@BladeHQ what was the name and price of the ER orange knife? Great job guys, keep it up!
How does Benchmade feel about the Axis lock on the Exemplar?
Bradley Powell their patent on the axis lock ran out so people are starting to utelize it more
Really? I'm surprised they wouldn't renew it. hopefully i can look foreword to a more affordable axis lock. My 940 wasn't cheap.
@@bradleypowell7585 The whole point of a patent is that it only protects an invention for a set period of time. Otherwise it would stifle innovation.
Love how they worked to avoid the words "Benchmade" and "axis lock"

Some seriously good looking and quality blades👍
awesomenest beyond compare !! @ knives good been that way since mid 80's ! 2 hands 2 knives ;)
And hey that's the Colt Defender CQB if I'm not mistaking it's actually sitting on my lap with the Olight Valkyrie right now :-)
Nevermind I'm a jackass, obviously a Hogue knife would be a Sig firearm but it looks extremely similar to the CQB 1911
Love my hogue AR-15 grip and butt stock combo. Some nice looking knives.
The OTF reminds me a lot of the microtech storm trooper in the handle
Looks like some really nice knives... Just wish for those price points they used S30V... or even S35VN...
Man that HK Hogue looks too much like a BM! Can we say axis lock??
The O2 wrench should be on both sides
Awesome knives
Is there any discount codes available ?
Stainless steel glass breaker... glad he comes buy it honestly
Very cool stuff. Not really a fixed blade guy but holy shit impressive
I need that Sig Knife
Benchmade called, they want their lineup back 😂
West Senkovec They sold it to Houge, to make higher end knifes
nice hogue!!!
looks like they shortened the blade on that Cali special but forgot about the handle.
Man that Buck line up sucked, but these Hogue knives have some good shit going on. Never had a Hogue, but I'll chem them out now.

Yeah, automatics are another category. I was specifically talking about folding knives and fixed blades.
Wow! So when they bought right to HK they def got the Benchmade designs with it
Was just about to say something about that wonder how that works out although benchmades axis lock has been out for a long time
Did Benchmade reclaim the rights to the axis lock?
The patent expired in mid-2016.

patents are for 20 years then it public domain . But your right its a bench made copy .

Yeah it used to be on cold steel recon 1 s
That otf is a knockoff HK Turmoil
Fenrir TheDarkWolf how is it a knock off if it too is an HK
Colby Perry I just wanted a different design it looks almost identical to the Turmoil

Just because it is also geared for a rescue tool does not mean it's a triage ripoff
That’s my thought. Won’t be surprised to see a law suit come out of that.

Guys, please don't pay unconstitutional "laws" any attention. The constitution trumps state/local laws whenever there is a direct contradiction.
Yeah, try telling that to the cops
Since when does California care about the constitution
Why bother acting like those HK knives were their design. Real knife people know they didn't design shit.......I'm still getting a X-5 auto
jordan johnson not exactly what he said. He said it was hard to design the texture on the G-10 handle.
