@@StergiosSotiriou You need to build explosive strength a well. While not a requirement - I never did and obtained muscle up through simple weighted progressions - if you want to achieve it faster, then focus on high, explosive pull ups, if it's not a big deal and you are patient then I'd recommend just doing weighted pull ups/clean pull ups.
@@StergiosSotiriou tbh you might already be able to do it, try to get a feel for it by doing some negatives as slow as you can starting from the top of the bar
I can only muscle up with the false grip. When I try with a normal grip I can't get over the bar even though I pull high because I can't rotate my wrist to do a .dip.
Depends if it's strict or not. For rings you need to be strict because it's harder to swing around and use momentum, you also need false grip which may take some time to get used to. Overall i'd say rings is harder from my experience
They are both challenging in their own way. With rings you can pull straight up and transition through the rings without being explosive or the hassle of pulling higher to transition over a bar. The bar muscle up requires explosive power and you have to pull high enough to go over the bar for the transition. I personally learned a bar muscle up first, but with a little bit of kipping. For rings, it took me longer to learn a proper false grip than it did the actual muscle up. I also believe the strength requirements aren't as high for ring muscle ups. The rings feel more natural, but the bar feels more satisfying in my opinion.
@@chopwoodcarrywater49531 Thx for the detailed explanation. I don't have a bar to practice on but I have rings so I was curious if I could do a muscle up on a bar since I can do them on rings.
Calisthenics OPPOSITE of the clean and jerk. In muscle up you are pulling the bar down, then pushing the bar down. In the clean and jerk you are pulling the bar up and then pushing the bar up.
The chest to bar pull-up up to 25 times is an impressive number.. from around 10 pull-ups, a muscle up should be possible strength wise.. maybe you need better technique
There is a large technique component to muscle-ups, not just raw strength. And at a certain point with pull-up numbers you're really just getting endurance out of it. I've never reached 25 in my life and yet I can do weighted muscle-ups, strict / slow muscle-ups, front lever, etc. Focus on form rather than numbers.
@@user-hx9bq4kf1q How does it relate to watching him? Or watching anyone else for that matter lol, what a weird question. Maybe I like "test of strength" moves, maybe I disagree in this case, maybe his videos are just entertaining and good regardless, take your pick.

Why so many bots? They tryna do muscle ups too?
These bots have chosen the wrong channel ffs! People here come to train not to become a loser 😭

I've just started learning to muscle up this week, the algorythm gotta be listening at this point
Good luck! The journey is fun :)
I had a shoulder dislocation problem when trying to do the second rep of muscle-up...
And now it;s hurt the rotator muscle
I can only do bar muscle up by using extra light resistance band. I'm almost there that I can do muscle up without resistance band 💪
Very informative
Got to achieve 10 clean pull ups, first. Then, I'll give it a try
i can do 14 clean pulls ups, still cant muscle up, almost there

False grip is known to be best for this exercise
one of the best natural bodybuilder
You write this same comment on every video this guy makes?
@@hamada0174 yes
I’ve noticed that too!
@@user-hx9bq4kf1q it is kind of lame though
the muscle up isn't equivalent to a clean and jerk. it doesn't work the legs
Is a bar muscle up or a muscle up on rings harder??

I know he didn’t just compare between muscle ups and clean & jerks….
SMDH….
Go tilt somewhere else
Whats with all the camera angle cuts?
Thanks for calling me weak. I am 15 and can do up to 25 pull-ups, with perfect form, but still can't muscle up
I bet your pull ups aint that strict
just bcs u can't do it doesn't mean u're weak, just practice and train the movement everyday and someday you'll achieve ur first muscle up.👌🏼💪🏼

Wow
Go back to basics bro 😂😞
Actually not a very useful exercise for anything other than a test of strength
Useful for burglars though
Same can be said for most exercises.
