This scene was so heartbreaking. Juliet was my favourite character from Lost and watch her in this scene all sad, made me sad too. It didn't help that eventually Juliet sacrificed herself for her love and friends. And then her death, just torn me apart. She was a true heroine! I love her.
This scene is so stupid, so bizzare that im shocked anyone liked it. She changed her mind from "we cant let all those people die" to lets commit mass murder and mass suicide just because she felt insecure about sawyer looking at Kate for a second. If she doesnt want to lose Sawyer why does she goes along with killing him with a bomb, that doesnt make sens on any level😂. And The bomb not killing them but transporting back to the future, good lord what a nonsense this show was 😂

I didn't notice it the first time I watched LOST, but a few years ago I told someone that meant everything to me: "if we were never together, then we could never be apart". It was my explanation for everything. Since that day, I've had that phrase pinned to my wall just to remind me. I can't believe that my favorite character in my favorite tv show said virtually the same thing I did so long ago..
But to love, to grow within that experience of love, to form a bond with another even if that bond yields to the march of time and like all things inevitably falls, is that NOT better than to have never felt that bond that sense of union so powerful that you feel as if you become something more through and with that other person than just the two of you as individuals.
I feel so stupid, but I still remember tearing up when Juliet fell. My heart was in my fuckin throat! It's a TV show, but I was moved so much during her scenes leading up to her death. This isn't my favorite series (top 5, for sure) but I cried more for Lost than anything else. The scene when Jack tells Kate not to come back for him, Charlie dying, on and freakin on!!
Juliet was trying to sabotage her relationship with Sawyer because she couldn't bear the pain of losing him. She was afraid to believe that he loves her just as much as she loves him. When the Oceanic Six returned to the island, Juliet's behaviour is totally understandable because she has been betrayed, used and abused in the past that it emotionally scarred her deeply. It crippled her ability to trust anyone anymore. She trusted Jack but he abandoned her by leaving her behind. I can image that she was extremely wary about getting into relationship with Sawyer, considering that he's conned women before and what he did with Kate. Not making him very reliable. He had to earn her trust and loyalty hard way.
And it ties all the way back to her flashback - watching her two parents divorce. Juliet’s life is all about division and always having to stand on her own two feet, never truly have someone have her back.

Agree with you. He was the one who made her think she was number two for him. He had to say "I love you" at least. But he didn't. Juliet was thinking she always was the second in his heart...
Why does this scene and the scene where she lets go of Sawyer's hand and falls into the pit make me want to cry more than the scene where Charlie dies? Those three scenes and others from past seasons were all heartbreaking 😢💔
Imy Bird omg I feel you on this!! I was so shocked when I saw they got together in this season and it just feels so right! I cried like a baby when she died!! Ugh lol
Sawyer loved both of them, but in the end he ended up with Juliet. The only reason he still loved Kate was partially because of their history together and also because they never truly solved their feelings towards another when since he decided to ditch the helicopter. They were unresolved feelings but in the end he loved Juliet. He will always have something for Kate but Juliet was his true love.
Not sure Kate did ANY thing to Jack or Sawyer or Juliet directly or intentionally. Yeah she saved kid Ben shot by Sayid. She recruited Sawyer to stop Jack from doing the bomb thing. But really...it's ALL part of the what happened, happened arc. Meaning our Oceanic buddies did set off the device and out of that came the Swan hatch and the button.
Jack's motive for setting off the hydrogen bomb to counter act the release of energy caused by the Incident (initially as stated, and I'll take him at his word): All those people that died (Boone, Shannon, Charlie, et al), all the misery can be avoided. Kate's rebuttal: What about us...we will have never met.
Tragic and misguided. Life is about expanding, forming attachments and as with all things...all forms...they must collapse. All things come to an end. By determining NEVER to have met, only to never feel heartbreak...that's not living! We love our parents so much, and parents love their children knowing one day they will grow up and leave. We don't NOT have children because one day, inevitably...they will leave us! Both Jack & Juliet here are looking at things entirely wrong. No embrace, no grasp however earnest can claim forever!
