ol' school Tony Carter its a party be cool
ol' school Tony Carter I burst out laughing in a train.
ol' school Tony C
Wait wait....Hold the FUCKING phone....So in the 90s.......The Xmen was saving Marvels ass? But now Marvel has been fucking with the Xmen and Mutants since then? WHAT!?!! Side note the art from the 90s is freaking amazing
yep that and spider-man were the only things selling at marvel
Most of that art was down to Andy & Adam Kubert and the amazing Joe Madureira.
Tevya Smolka Really? I'm really thought they've been saved thier butts by X-Men the Animated Series, i was born in the late 90s, but i didn't know Marvel went bankrupt
fox has the movie rights on x men ,mutants and all.....soo marvels answer was simple killem off .....make INHUMANS GREAT AGAIN !
c@mbaz for the first time you mean.
Xavier-"Hey XMEN, you want to go KILL some people"
*Turns into Onslaught*
XMEN- "Well, that was weird...."
Rob you're so funny!
"UPON FURTHER CONSIDERATION, I HAVE DECIDED TO BECOME INVOLVED IN THIS CONFLICT"
I swear Rob, you have a lot of informative content, but when you break and get real during your vids, and do rundowns, you're funny as heck.
It was psylocke and bishop, not beast. That makes me question alot that rob says....
Ooh you said heck
The way you explained the story was down right hilarious. Great job Rob!
I still love the onslaught saga till this day
I love you're version, the Apocalypse part made me laugh:
" well upon further consideration..."
I wish he could be like this in the comics, at least partially
FINALLY! Everyone needs to know how epic Onslaught is! Thank you so much for this Rob!
This was the peak of X-Men for me!
Apocalypse "Sir Voice" - Upon further consideration, I have decided....lolololol
Casey Jones That was my favorite part.
Had no idea it was just a storyline meant to reboot all the comics that weren't selling... great job would be awesome if you do cover it in its entirety
Yep. It was pretty cool at the time. I still didn't stray away from X-men for the rebooted titles
The Onslaught story arc is where I expanded my reading of marvel. I had been reading Spiderman a few years before. This was the coolest 😎 story for me back then!!
Thanks for covering it, you explained it awesomely!
Keep up the great work!
The story might not have stood the test of time, but the art is still fantastic!
pious83 nothing compares to that 90's style of art!
S. Dolan Riley Rossmo, Kenneth Rocafort, Alex Ross....they compare. I love their artwork.
What are you talking about people from my gen who loved comics remember onslaught but mainly because of the game
X-men is what got me into comics so I loved this Saga and AoA, hands down some of my fav stories lol pretty much anything to do with my fav villains Apocalypse and Mr Sinister. Like the new Logo Rob
Remy Melanie -- muuuuummm, Sweet sweet Remy!!! lol.... Lookin all delicious and shit!!! lol
11:02 Best ...part...ever...
Yes, yes it was!
'Apocalypse man, you might wanna get involved' one of the funniest things I've ever seen on this channel 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ya know for one of your lower ranked story lines, I have to admit that it was one of your best commentaries. You could have dragged this out to 4 segments, but you did beautifully with 1. Plus you had undertones of comedy that hit with perfect timeing. Thank you for this, I didn't know much about Onslaught, and know I do.
Lol im feelin this rundown style....It's quick and gets to the point!
JUST DO IT!!!! The whole onslaught saga
I am loving the run down. it's the simple and I love how energetic and you cut straight to the point.
XD 5:30 adamantium gets his wolverine ripped out!!!
So how did the adamantium get put back into Wolverine? Or is this Onslaught saga one of those things that never really happened in their reality?
@@mancamiatipoola Apocalypse made him one of his horsemen and gave him back his adamantium.
11:16 I laughed my ass off
i like how you kept referencing it as a "party" lol
Adamantium gets his Wolverine ripped out!
The way you summarized the whole Marvel Onslaught Crossover was entertaining and hilarious. And I may not have all the issues in my collection but you actually did summarize it according to very exact issues and Onslaught graphic novel I do have. Loved it bro
"You wanna go kill people?!" The intense zoom got me man
Scrap that, this is the most entertaining video you have ever put out. The jokes were good
Love the onslaught story!!! Please do it as well as hero’s reborn (even though it was very confusing)
I've met a lot of strong warriors, but fighting Onslaught was an experience I never thought was possible, and have never experienced since. To this day, I'm not sure I would beat him alone.
Ah the original Hulk, how I miss you.
F00KIN N00TIN fuck ur hulk
Tha Spida Man fuck you
F00KIN N00TIN Fuck me
Waddle Doo 2 You ill get to it eventually
That honestly was the best explanation of a comic book that I have ever heard. 🤣😂 Great job Rob.
I like the idea of Xavier and Magneto fusing into this insane threat though. I'd actually want to see Onslaught in another Xmen/Avengers movie if they make one, even if it is changed and contained only within Xmen, I'd still love to see it.
Okay. This has to be one of my favorite quick recap I've ever seen. That was hilarious and informative. BRAVO!!! It felt like the "What the frack is happening on Battle Star Galactica" videos. Loved it.
that Apocalypse part changing his mind to help had me rolling lol. bro I wish I could give your videos two thumbs up
5:31 "adamantiun gets his wolverine ripped out" that would be awesome rob i didn't know adamantiun had wolverine.
By the way 9:12 , 11:29 , 11:15 and 13:54 were the greatest moments ever
Rob the way you did this one was HILARIOUS! Great vid, man
DO YOU WANT TO GO KILL PEOPLE. LOL I died
skankhunt42 hahaha same here
Yo Rob, you are wrong about the Green Goblin at this time. This was actually when Phil Urich was the Green Goblin and trying to be a Super-Hero. His final issue was fighting the sentinels and bits from an exploding one ruins his mask and gear.
BIshop? The mutant _from tha futcha?!_
A great story and a great narration by u, Rob! Thank u! I bought all these comics in the 90's n loved this story! Rob, I love ur videos, keep 'em comin'! 😊😊 Thank u 4 ur channel 💞
Good video and man Onslaught is a beast.
I just reread Onslaught for the first time since it came out and honestly, it's pretty damn good. I was shocked. I really enjoyed it.
I want more on the Onslaught Saga
The Rundown is simply da best. Please keep it up!
I'm glad someone finally covered the onslaught Saga it just felt sloppy though, don't worry you got my like
This is my favorite comics explained video, Robs delivery is just perfect.
The 90's were a strange time.
I think that was the funniest CE so far. Fantastic vid.
I was probably around 15 when I read it too. It's still one of my favorite stories, plus Joe Maduera's art was the best back then.
This video is by far the funniest one you have done that I Have seen Rob!
thanks Rob for the memories that was literally the last comic book I read before I gave them up
I ENJOY THIS MORE THEN ANY VIDEO YOU HAVE EVER DONE. THIS VIDEO WAS AMZING! GJ ROB.
@comicsexplained I enjoyed this video in the way a 15 year old would enjoy hearing about this if it were told to him in person. The editing, the way you spoke, and the slight sarcasm made me feel like you were a kid telling their friend how sweet this comic was. Gave me a good laugh
Your ad-lib version of the onslaught saga absolutely cracked me up.. well done.
I remember really enjoying the series as well when it came out but like you I was quite young.. could say they did know their audience though since enough of us seem to remember it fondly if only at the time heh.
Dude, you had fun recording this, you can really tell a difference in how you told this story.
Man you ARE CRAZY!!! Thanks for the ride. I am really enjoying your breakdown of the comics. and you end with PEACE as I do.
Your sarcastic commentary was great. Thanks Rob
Dude what were you on? Probably one of the best videos I've seen ever.
the hilarity of this comic is only enhanced by your commentary!! Great video!!
i loved how you made this video ;)
... Every time I see Dr. Doom involved in a conflict, I remember that he's been shown to be able to build a time machine out of almost anything (he and Tony Stark were once thrown back in time. Doom solved the problem by building a time machine from parts of Stark's Iron Man armor), which makes me wonder why he didn't just mess with continuity to prevent the conflict from happening.
I loved this story when it first came out :)
Idk y ur old vids r popping up but the delivery u did of this story was hilarious man nice job
Your animated Bishop impression was hilarious! XD
This is 100% the best ComicsExplained video ever
FINALLY another Rundown, been a while since we had one. I love the tone you take when doing The Rundown.
Apocalypse: I might be destroyed, well maybe I do need to get involved after all. LMAO.
This rundown was fucking hilarious. Not for the story, but for the commentary. Especially when you were talking about Apocalypse.
there's one good thing that came out of this. The Thunderbolts.
Heroes Reborn Iron Man and FF were pretty good too, to be fair.
Kurt Busiek's Avengers.
My favorite run from Heroes Return to Dissambled
Yeah man cover the Onslaught saga you've covered a lot less interesting stories than this. Lol Adamantium got his Wolverine ripped out.
Absolutely LOVED the way you commentated this video!! I wish you’d do all you videos like this!!!!
Oh my gosh, new logo? World shattered
your "rundown" videos are fricken hilarious man.
Man, your opening and closing music is ALWAYS so dope.
I love most of your videos, been a fan for over a year now, have gone back and seen many of your videos, but I cant get with your tone during this. Its because the final issue of Onslaught was what really got me into comics. That fight was epic, iconic in many ways, but I felt you just took this and poked fun :/
OOOOOOOO YES YES YES. Did not have the chance to know this story back in the day because I was so young but heard alot about it and saw images and what not. Then there was Marvel vs Capcom but finally!
MISSED the rundown! So glad it's back! Rob Corps!
love the nonchalant way you described this entire video
The Rundown is the perfect way to explain the Onslught Saga.
Yessss I've been waiting forever for you to do Onslaught
the rundown is my favorite thing on this channel
FINALLY ! Wanted this for so long
The narration of this is HILARIOUS!!!😂😂😂
Rob, this one was great. I love the rundown. You had good timing.
Hell yeah, Rundown is back babbeeee!
probably your funniest video yet lmao
Hah! Dude i literally just requested this like a week ago. So cool to know you listen to your audience. Yeah Onslaught saga was major... I never did to read all of the tie ins and stuff, so it was nice to get a recap. Youre right in that ultimately it didnt amount to much, but overall the character was so badass the he always goes down as one of the top badass villians. Def worth the discussion. Thanks Rob!
love the channel bro, I swear you get super hype and start cracking up, I start cracking up lol.Wassup with the X-Cutioner's Song. Always a personal favorite of mine. keep up the good work
Onslaught was from Charles Xavier, but this goes much further back than "Fatal Attractions". Do you remember "Dark Shroud of the Past"? This seldom-reprinted X-Men issue from 1977 (#106) contained the first appearance of "Professor X's Evil Self" which resided within his mind. At the time, it was shrugged off as partly caused by Xavier's rapport with Lilandra, but that explanation made less sense as time passed.
I use to work for and inker who worked gor both Marvel and DC and was part of the original team of guys who started Image Comics. Acording him, Heroes Reborn was a test to see if leasing characters to the guys from Image was profitable. This is also the time Marvel had filed bankruptcy and they were considering saleing off characters to other companies like DC.
Man, when i was a kid, Onslaught was THE SHIT! I only had like a few of these comics, but it was amaaaazing. This is an awesome rundown. I never got the entire story. I still need to find a good compilation of this arc though. Even if just for nostalgia.
Awesome video Rob I always like when you talk thru the video like you did with this one THE RUNDOWN
This was the funniest videos you have done Rob. Thanks man
never stop doing the rundown
its too awesome
As far as you doing more rundowns. Please do more. However I tend to watch anything you do put out with a few exceptions here and there.
The Rundowns are always awesome
Man, Rob... I love the way you paraphrase these quotes hahaha
Love your "rundowns". They are too funny. Lol.
I normally like a video after I have watched all of it but "the few-cha" itself deserves a like.
How about covering the Thunderbolts Rob..the interesting story that comes after Onslaught with Kurt Busiek at the helm ?
I've been waiting my whole life for this! Please cover the entire saga !!
This isn’t far one of your funniest videos 😂
This was my first major crossover event I followed as a kid. Begging my mom to buy me the issues off the rotary comic rack at the grocery store.... I miss when comics existed outside of dedicated stores.
