- Testing out which cartridge is better between 10mm Auto and .357 Magnum. To do that, I am using guns that have equal amount of bullet travel in the guns and by using "hot" ammunition. The 10mm is loaded by Underwood and is a 155 gr XTP bullet rated at 1,500 FPS and the .357 Magnum is loaded by Buffalo Bore and is a 125 gr XTP bullet rated at 1,700 FPS. Who will win? VERY IMPORTANT, read this before you watch!
I get the "limp wrist" comment nearly daily in one video or another with this pistol, but from people who haven't a clue what they are talking about, so I urge you not to jump to conclusions. Most of the issue with malfunctions is the feed ramp, the Lone Wolf AlphaWolf CONVERSION barrel I use has a very thin feed ramp, not wide and loose chamber like a stock Glock feed ramp/chamber. Also, in this video I was not using a 10mm extractor in the conversion, so that didn't help. If you still do not believe me, I did a study of all of the hollow point ammo tests I did with this Glock 41 pistol in both the stock and the conversion setup. Why this is important is because I tested SEVERAL .45 ACP+P rounds that were well over the typical energy level of 10mm, as well as at or above typical 10mm bullet weight, and I never once had a jam in those rounds. Here is the study of just the Glock 41 portion:

I’m not aware of any .45 acp +p round that surpasses a real 10mm load in energy. No one makes a .45 acp that comes any where near 700lbs of energy
FWIW, XTPs are designed to expand at both slower and higher speeds. That is kind of their thing.
Agreed with the other comments, there are no 45 acp+p rounds that will compare with a 200 grain 10mm round. Just isn’t happening because physics.
It didn't look at all like you limp wristed the 10mm. I agree with you about the barrel and your comparison of the 45 and 10 mm barrels tells the story very clearly. Your suggestions for use in the woods are appropriate and reasonable. I agree with the game you suggest one could take with these. I would personally opt for heavier for caliber projectiles to have more mass in either one of the two choices you presented.
@@WallSt101 There are 45 Super rounds that do. They require stronger cases and usually a change of springs. (recoil and at times magazine springs as well)
There is also the 460 Rowland which is a 45 used in the same magazine made out of a longer case to prevent chambering in a regular 45. It requires a conversion and achieves 44 magnum energies, far surpassing 10mm and 357 which are already quite potent.

Never get shot by a 10mm or a 357 magnum.
So who would want to get shot by even a 22LR? Not many volunteers.
My cousin and his friend both got shot with a 357 magnum back in 2008 in my home town Chicago. Both of them lived but his friend is paralyzed from neck down.

My little brother once shot me in the ass with a pellet rifle and there have been very few times in my life where I was more pissed off than that moment.
I own a GP 100 and have thought that I need a 10mm too. However, the initial jam with the 10mm you tested instills by thoughts that I prefer a wheel gun when defending against unhappy critters!
I'm not a wheel gun fan so much, but there is little doubt about the reliability of a follow up shot with one as opposed to autos!
There are 10mm revolvers available.
I've never had a jam in 2500 rounds of my Glock 20 or my Springfield xdm elite 10mms but yeah revolvers don't jam but most reliable autos if taken care don't either. It's all personal preference I like and carry both

357 mag is a hard hitting round tried and proven
Just remember that when both 10mm and 357 magnum are loaded to the limit they both have more than enough power to defend yourself against bad guys or bears. Power wise at max loads they are very close in power. Awesome video as always you don’t disappoint.
Goodies vs baddies or us vs them. It is always the same mindset.
I would not use either one against a brown bear.
@@johnharris8191 watch some of Alaskan Ballistics 10mm and 357 mag ballistics tests. He has done some really good testing with both calibers. The people that live up with those bears probably know what they are doing. If you choose not to use those calibers thats fine but they do the job just fine for those people. All you need to do is penetrate the bears skull and brain. If those calibers loaded warm with hard cast do that then they are very good. That being said for bear defense in PA (yes I know black bears are smaller than brown) I use 44 special or 45 colt revolvers with hard cast bullets. My 44 special load is Lyman 429421 250 grain bullet (BHN 16) at 1000 fps from a 3”. For 45 colt its Lee 452-230-TC (BHN 16) at 1075 fps from 6.5” S&W model 25-15. Ive been handloading and bullet casting since the late 1990s when my father started teaching me. If you want to see what the 44 special load does watch my video where I shoot through a bunch of pressure treated lumber with it.

@@johnharris8191 44 special Lyman 429421 250 grain bullet at 1000 fps. My favorite 44 handload by the way. Its had insane penetration in testing ive done on my channel. It would exit a bears head with no issues. Also my 44 special rides beautiful on my hip in its nylon holster. Those ballistics are from a 3” barrel. I like that you said about 1 shot. Thats correct because brown bears move at you so fast sometimes 1 shot is all you get.
Nothing on two legs could stay standing after taking a solid hit from either of these rounds

@chris chris They both can kill any bear. Would they kill the bear before it kills you is a different story? I would take a 357 loaded with heavy solids to back up my 12 gauge with heavier solids.

Having been physically involved in a grizzly charge, to this day Im 100% convinced the .357 is the way to go in very high stress situation. Ya the 10mm gives you a higher mag count but doesn't do you any good if you have a jam or ftf and the amount of energy and muscle memory it takes in slow motion just to function during a bear charge is amazing, EVERYTHING moves in very slowmo and with a revolver you just point and click ... what else I clearly remember, your not gonna get off more than 2 rounds before the grizz is directly eating your ass so maybe it really doesnt matter which side arm you prefer.
Even in grizzly country Statistically your way more likely to be killed by a crazy human which is why I prefer 10mm it seems to be better all around for protection from humans Cougars wolves. For strictly grizzly I would prefer a 44 or 454 revolver but you never know what's gonna try to kill you so I settle for 10mm.
Make my carry a 12ga 3" mag pump shotgun... I ain't "f"ing around with one little bullet.

One of the most complete test videos I’ve seen! I carry the 10mm because I work security and may face multiple people who may be armed with rifles. I am an ex police officer/ firearms instructor. I carry a Glock 29 often for just such reasons. Keep up the great vids, I subscribed!!!!!!

It's a good apple to apple comparison since you did look for similar sectional densities. Usually what most people trying to compare rounds tend to overlook. As a defensive round in the woods if my choice was limited to a 357, I would use heavier rounds, somewhere in the 180 grains by Underwood, and if my choice was limited to a 10mm, I'd use Underwood as well in 220 grains hard cast if that bullet was properly stabilized in my barrel or a 200 grains weight if the heavier one wasn't stabilized. Both, Underwood and Buffalo Bore make excellent products but Underwood is far more reasonably priced, while both tend to be very accurate, Underwood loads usually exceed advertised velocities. You did a great job with the video. Great comparison and your choices based on sectional densities proved how important S.D is.
Thank you for providing a professional target support system. What an improvement over most test videos where everything including the tables many use for supporting targets falls down. Also, comparing the different calibers using their sectional densities is a great idea. I would like to see how using the same type of 150-grain bullet in .357 compares with the other two results. Sectional density! Finally! I always consider sectional density before bullet weight when comparing different calibers.
Different calibers with different bullet weights seem to me to preform pretty much the same on big game if the sectional density & MV are close to the same with sectional density being the more important of the two.
That was probably the best 10 mm vs .357 test I have seen. I just got a Henry .357 rifle. I gotta try that ammo through it. If it can do that much damage from a 4 inch barrel, a 20 inch barrel should do even better.
You've made me curious how is that .357 can be used out of 4" pistol barrel and also a 20" rifle barrel - and not have any performance issues with burn-rate, so that it's either too slow of burn, and not fully burned out of the short, or too fast burn rate and has been spent before reaching the muzzle of the rifle? I'm not very familiar with the caliber, but I'd expect hand-loaders would choose different powders depending on if using rifle or pistol and maximize the burn? Or am I just over thinking it?

@@ShastaBean You are correct, around 4" is when the 357 magnum is just starting. The magnum is just such a long cartridge and slow powder burn, anything below 4" does it injustice. A 16-18 inch barrel the 357 is going to be hitting mediocre rifle levels of power (1000-1300 ft-lbs), but bad rifle ballistics just due to the shape, so 75-125 yards? of effectiveness.
The longer the barrel the better a 357 will compare to a 10mm. Anything 5" or above the 357 has the clear edge, below 4" I give it to the 10mm. Around 4" is a toss up.
@@christianjadot4459 Interesting...same concept has made me wonder why in the world there are not many 10 mm carbines out there to choose from? I would think that could be an ideal home defense option, especially suppressed? - considering how 300 BO might use heavier bullet to stay below sound, should mean we could have a 200-220 gr .40 cal bullet that ought to be better than a .30 cal?

I’ve owned both, and felt safer with the simple reliability of the gp100, having owned the glock in 357 sig and 10mm, I just didn’t feel as safe and at times felt like the frame was always on the brink of failure with these high pressure rounds. Probably silly just felt safer with the stainless gp100
The G20 has never failed me but the first couple rounds I'm always waiting for the frame to blow up. Be well!

Very nice. Definitely 2 good loads to keep in mind. BB has always seemed like a great company. Looks like Underwood is coming along too. I de-intensify a few of the bad things i have said about them. Lol. Don't own a 10mm yet, but it is on the list. Especially if i move to Alaska in the future, which is becoming more likely.

well 10mm was trying to make a round that would shoot in an automatic but have the power of a .357.
noticed the .357 didn't jam.
Glocks are world famous for ""NOT""" Jamming after break in !!!!! Also a lot of people don't know this. After break in you never ever switch ammo , ever. Why because the spring will grow a memory , that's the easiest way to explain it. Same ammo it will not jam ever , but you switch to more powerful it will jam . Same goes for most all semi's ,shotguns and Ar ,Ak etc doesn't fall into the same category ,tolerances are much higher. In English if you decide to carry Remington white box hollow points 180 grain , then stay with it from now on . And your gun will never jam. I'll roll the dice with #30 rounds of 10 mm versus #6 rounds of 357 . Because I'll have my extended clip in there for the chance I could see a Yogi , only an idjut would carry a 16 round mag !!!! @Brian Roome Spring memory is nothing new , as a matter of fact it's old news .But it's a fact . Especially with 22l.r. 17 hmr ,22 mag etc. If you start using cci which is a hot round and then after a year switch to economy 2 for a dollar shells ,it's going to jam ,jam, jam. As far as Glocks go I suggest you talk to any Armory or experienced gunsmith , and you'll see why every police department in America carry's them. Because jams are almost non-existent. A department Armory will decide on a round and then the entire department will carry ,practice , and shoot that round , and just that round. Any ammo substituted is an automictic disciplinary action. A write up. Why because any other round could cause jams and failures. A gun is only as good as it's springs. Believe it or not. Peace.
The Glock in this video is a half ass conversion from a .45 so it’s not factory reliable

Great rounds to test. Super good results on both. I have carried 357 mag in 90s. I liked 140 & 158. But this type of velocity & energy is excellent for personal protection. The 10 is also excellent for PP, HD & maybe edc. I did carry my woods gun a G29 as an edc a bit when I first got it. Carried Double Tap 165gr. Gold Dot. But good folk discouraged it for fear of legal problems if it had to be used in a self defense situation. Thanks Sam.

First, excellent video Sam. I love the testing of hot full house rounds. You did a great job putting this together. You got to love Buffalo Bore and Underwood ammo, great companies were you still can find full house rounds loaded to old school spec. I’m a little more partial to Buffalo Bore of the two, as they list certain firearms that each load was tested with and from my experience it’s always exact or real close, You know what your getting when you purchase Buffalo Bore, there quality control and consistency is also as good as it gets.
You do a great job trying to make ammo test fair. The tip of bullet length to muzzle end may be the same between the two, but the revolver is dealing with cylinder gap, which is a real thing that has been tested to loose some pressure and velocity because of it, so running revolvers with the same length barrel as a auto loader in my opinion is still fair, but I still appreciate your effort.
I have watched Paul Harrel test at least 5 or so different brands of 10mm ammunition and most of them are not much more impressive than .40 S&W. I think only one or so got to around 550lbs of energy and that was the defensive ammo he tested. Now I understand that is watered down factory ammo, and the same could be said for .357 factory offerings, but I feel the .357 and 10mm when both loaded to max potential are very similar in power and energy. You did a great job highlighting that.
I believe Buffalo Bore has one or two other offerings in .357 magnum that is even more powerful than the one you tested (at least energy wise).
Thank you. I have done a lot of research into cylinder gap, and while it's all varying based on gap size and ammo choices, basically 5% is the average potential lost. So instead of 1,000 FPS you get 950 FPS, instead of 1,500 you might get 1,400. But sometimes you get basically none like with low end solid copper rounds as they are longer, burn more of the powder quicker if it's a low end round with a low charge of fast powder etc.
Agreed with your last sentence, well the whole comment really. While learning reloading and working up a 180gr lead 357 load I bought a box of BB 180gr bear crushers. Big mistake! Oh there was nothing wrong with the ammo, but 20 of them finished off my German single action army clone. Good news is a few over sized Colt parts fit to it tightened the old iron right up. I retired it to wimpy loads only from now on. Pops gave me his mod 28 duty gun so I'm golden now.

William Ray - It is amazing the number of people who don’t get your point. If a revolver is loaded, and you can manage to point the revolver and pull the trigger, you will get positive results. Why is that important? Because there are many people who buy and own a defensive firearm and rarely, if ever, practice. But when the”heats on,” like someone attempting a home invasion, you need positive results immediately. A non-shooter will likely not remember all the steps to using at autoloader, but if they can point their loaded revolver and pull the trigger, they will get the expected results. Better yet, immediate action is s pull the trigger again.
Third round 4th. Or the first. Carry what you like.

@robert warner One of the few reasons why a revolver can jam (though not as often as with semi-autos) is because of poor maintenance. As with any firearm, a revolver has to be cleaned and lubed after each use.
Carry a ruger security 6 made 1974 would not bet my life on it jamming i fired enough guns to bet on that!

I have the Rock Island Armory Pro Match Ultra 10mm with a 6-inch barrel and a double stack 16 round magazine....
But my EDC is my FNX 45 Tactical with an RMR and double stack 15 round magazine.
I carry the XDM with the 5.3" barrel and I could not agree with you more!
@@plnbdy 10mm is real power cartridge for a semi auto pistol . You can shoot a bad guy or destroy a Bear using the same gun
@G&G KNLS its a big and heavy animal ,probably up to 9ft tall and 1100 pounds , its not really easy to take down , but a 10mm extreme penetrator in the heart, front of head or maybe multiple in the chest ill do the job really quickly

Great video, both are nice shooters. I would like to have seen normal weights for these calibers though, 180 for 10mm and 158 for the 357. This is were the 10mm has an advantage, IMO, up close, bigger and heavier bullets. I like the 10mm underwood 200 gn XTP @1250 FPS.

Your videos got me to explore some underwood hard cast to carry with me as my kids and I hike and camp out here in the high desert of Arizona. Mountain lions are everywhere out here and with that hot hardcast I feel a bit better prepared.

I'm with you for a kind of admittedly goofy reason.
I like being able to use same ammo in rifle and handgun, and .357 lever action is the most fun you can have with your clothes on. You can conceal carry .357 revolver, add in that you can swap cheaper .38 special in both, and perfect set up for me.
Yes you can hold more rounds in you striker fire .10 mm Glock, and I really love them as well. But being able to grab a lever action with a concealed revolver that you can run two different rounds of same ammo through both is pretty cool.

I can’t sit here and post about having two revolvers with out confession that I bought two.22s a Heritage Rough Rider and a Ruger Wrangler because at one time I was getting down to about 1500 rounds of 22 so I thought having a couple single action pistols would slow my son and I down a bit. What we learned was that they are a hoot to shoot and in the last two months I have purchased over 4500 rounds of.22 . Yesterday when I first got your question about a revolver I was looking at a couple 357s and even if I bought one I cannot find ammunition enough to warrant buying one I’m one of those guys who believes in having a 1000 or more rounds in any calibers I own but one day I will have a 44 or 357 . As for you I’m happy as hell that you got a Taurus I am getting ready to drive to the range to take my 10 year old son I hope that you enjoy your new pistol
@@robertharing7031 yeah, now that you mention it, absolutely, Palmetto State Armory sales a ton of them. 4500 .22, in this climate; well damn!! Your connect must be the "Boss of all Bosses"! I have to wait until the gun show to even dream of seeing .22 ammo and at Bend over and grab your ankles prices. But in my case w/ .357 I reload and have dies for the caliber, and can cast flat nose as well, so any real cost would be new Brass, and a box of unattain-ium/ 1000ct. Magnum Primers. Accuracy is key to well placed shots that must count. You definitely have those groups down to a size that many can’t shoot with a scoped rifle.
Great comparison! Thanks man. I own a few .357 and a Glock 20, and that exact kind of malfunction is why I choose to only carry wheel guns. I carry a small .38 most days, and I'd rather have 5-6 .38 shots than a feed or eject malfunction on my glock 20 that requires you to drop the magazine during a fire fight. After a few malfunctions like that at the range with different autos, I've completely converted to revolvers lol. Otherwise, that 10mm was smoking for the recoil. But, man that .357 was insane.
Thanks. There can be some decent semi autos, but really to be reliable they need to be big and use ammo in the middle for power. Revolvers are nice because I could shoot .38 Short Colt 80 ft lbs then hot .357 Mag 800 ft lbs and it's going to function the same with both.
@@GunSam Looks like the jam happened due to TOO FAST slide speed . The mag spring didn't lift fast enough to keep up with TOO FAST slide speed . Never had a jam in any Glock , I mostly shoot mid range 10mm . I have shot Un Sized Starline brass ( new ) in the G20 that made my Kimber , fail . I now size ALL my new brass for any auto . More is not always better , to shoot indoors with no ear pro , best to shoot 45 acp , mid range 10mm , 38 special . Good test , I would never use any of that ammo . Save 155 gr for 40 S&W , best to use 180 gr +/- ( silver tip 10mm is 175 gr ) & is VERY good stuff , super accurate , perfect results in different media . Many better choices in both rounds . These are seriously the best loads for each caliber in my opinion for raw performance. Sam I truly believe you have a setup of testing that is better than any ballistic gel made to date period. @@GunSam No test is able to approximate what rounds do in the body. That's why lower caliber pistol loads do so much damage to the body. Ask any trauma surgeon and they will tell you horror stories about even the lowly 380.
That jam represents why a 10mm should never be used for beat defense. My Glock 40 has jammed several times. A charging grizzly would tear you apart in less than 2 seconds. If a revolver misfires you just pulled the trigger again, it's your best chance.

I forgot that the first Glock I ever shot was a 10 mm I immediately went out and bought a Glock 21 because back in the early 90s a 45 was a good carry gun for me I used to have a shoulder holster and with 3 -13 round mags I thought I was the shit
Why I Carry An FNX 45 Tactical
I conceal carry an FNX 45 Tactical with Trigicon RMR every day without ANY problems. It's for a variety of reasons.
1) I have arthritis, and a "full size" gun is easy for me to hold and shoot.
2) It's built from the ground up to be fully ambidextrous, and with arthritis you never know when you'll have to use your off hand (and, Yes... I train with my off hand about as much as I do with my dominant hand).
3) It was already milled for an an RMR... Something I had thought was a "nice overpriced gadget" that I'd never buy... Until I learned it solved the problem of aging eyes and bifocals
4) It carries a 15 round magazine! Yep... That's 15+1 of 45 ACP!
5) It comes with a 5.3" threaded barrel, so putting a suppressor on it is easy. I will be getting one for really ONE primary reason. I don't want to damage my hearing, if I have to use the weapon if someone breaks into my apartment.
I searched "forever" for a 9 mm that would provide ALL these features, without ANY success. Changing a gun to add these features after purchase, even IF POSSIBLE, would cost more than I paid for the 45 Tactical to begin with.

I have the G21 and G40, sometimes I put the G40 barrel and mag in the G21 frame and have a G20 with a 6 inch barrel:)
I've done a lot of reloading with hot .357 loads. It's one of my favorite calibers for whitetail deer hunting. I use an old Contender with a compensated ten inch barrel. You can achieve really impressive results with hot .357 loads on game. But, those loads stay on a whole other shelf than the ones I put in my model 60 Smith.

Thanks. Yeah 180 gr in .357 Mag is like 147 gr in 9mm, or anything where the case capacity is lowered enough to significantly lower it's power.
This is actually a pretty good video. If someone needed a sidearm in the woods, the 10 and .357 are the reasonable choices...and that particular ammo would be at the top of the list. Good work.

Great video. I have both the Glock 20 in 10mm and a ruger GP100 357 mag with a 6" barrel. The Glock might have the edge because it is a little easier to carry with higher capacity and as your video shows almost identical ballistics. Revolvers are great to own and shoot as well. It seems you have to wear glasses to protect yourself from flying bologna than you do from the firearms.
Thanks. Actually I do have one handgun, my S&W 342 PD in .38 Special, and more than once for whatever reason hot particles have embedded in my face right below my glasses, and this is just from shooting paper.
Those are my two dream handguns man. I turned 21 a few days ago and i was choosing between those two for my first handgun. due to cost, I went with the Glock 20. Will definitely be picking up the Gp100 once I get back from college to my summer job.
Very nice comparison, I'm am a 10mm fan , I've had both but the 10 with 16 rounds is hard to beat. I've taken 37 hogs up to 210 lbs out to 62 yards never shot one twice also have taken 31 whitetail deer out to about 60 yards and had the same results DRT. Keep up the good work my friend.

great video. im a revolver guy too, but was thoroughly impressed by the underwood performance. but i think for handloading the advantage might go to the 357. chuke swears the 10 takes down browns just fine, and the 357 has long proven itself there too (in heavier loads). so looks like its a preference thing between auto and revolver

I say it all the time on cartridge comparison videos... I don't want a "fair" test. If I'm watching a drag race between a Corvette and a Civic I don't want them to pull four spark plugs out of the Vette to make it "fair". I want to see each cartridge pushed to its limit so I know which offers what I'm looking for.
I agree for the most part. I remember growing up in the 1980's in elementary school and even then you would always hear the boys with the whole ".45 is the best", then ".357 Magnum is better", so naturally when doing tests like .357 Mag VS .45 ACP I like to shoot a hyper velocity 125 gr .357 Mag VS a 230 gr .45 ACP as these are their best foot forward. Did they ever compare in ballistics? No, but were they the top talked about for a long time? Yes, and do they both have loads in the mid 90 percentile of "stopping power charts"- yes, so being their are "comparable" mentally and practically, it's fun to compare them but using what is the opposite ballistically 230 gr VS 125. Now with 10mm, well the two are definitely different and almost as far apart as lets say ".357 Mag vs .45 ACP", however with all of these ballistic experts out there saying that 10mm is always more powerful than .357 mag and "just as good as .44 mag", I felt like doing this video for fun, neither of these are typical I know, but fun nonetheless.

I was surprised at the lower than anticipated recoil of the 10 mm rounds.
Might be my recoil spring, went from 17 lb stock to 22 lb. Often times the recoil energy of handguns is 5-10 ft lbs, so I could see how just 5 ft lbs might absorb some of that.

Yes sir that's good stuff right there. I do both calibers and really appreciate 357 getting a fair test. But 10mm is my new bear defense load because of capacity. I load 180gr lead bear crushers for both, and I also think my Glock has milder recoil than my 357 revolvers. Not sure if it's the semi auto action or the different powders or a little of both.
I’m wondering if the recoil of the semi auto doesn’t eat some of that recoil where as the revolver obviously doesn’t have that.
@@brianb900 That's what I think, but it could be the powder to. I use Power Pistol for 10mm and had been using IMR4227 for revolvers. I recently started loading H110 in that 180 gr 357 and a 300gr 44 mag. H110 is supposed to achieve higher velocities than 4227. It's early but I swear my 44 mag primers look better, and maybe the recoil feels less snappy. And H110 357 loads also shows better primers in a rifle. There are 30 rounds of 44 mag 300 gr coated bullets in there waiting to be tested in 2 guns. I'll know more after I shoot them. Powders are making a difference to the primers for sure, but the recoil is subjective. I'd have to do both powders at the same time to really tell.

I was thinking about buying a new 10 mm this week. Now I think I'll just stick to my .357's. Guess I no longer see an upside to owning one now. I've always carried a revolver and see no reason to change now.
What about the senario where there are 3 armed home invaders/robber that dont run. Or when you drive down that particular road and a couple guys are dumping a body in the ditch and decide to chase you and pit you off the road. Sure maybe 2 speed loaders on the belt but most gunfights seen on the ASP channel are beyond 6 shots.
Love your videos but personally I have no need or can find the use for a 10mm. I love the 357 but only shoot it out of a full size heavy revolver. In my snub nose I shoot 38+p.

Great review 👏 thank you. I understand what your reasoning behind sectional density is but you still should have gotten a 158 grain 357 BB to compare also. There is a video on you tube and the man is shooting 3 different Buffalo Bore loads 125 Gr, 158gr, & 180gr 357 mag. And very clearly to see 👀 the 158 grain hits the steel substantially harder than the 125 grain. In your test here the 10MM is the clear winner but compared with a 158 grain 357mag the outcome is going to be closer to equal with no clear 🏆 winner. In fact the 357 may appear just ever so slightly more powerful. In my mind the ultimate test would be the Underwood 10mm 200 gr hard cast againt the Buffalo Bore 357 mag 180gr hard cast heavy. They are both very powerful loads.
